As we got back to camp. "Valtina, I have a favor to ask." Charles said, looking at me.
"What is it?" I asked, sitting on his shoulder.
"Can you help train me?" Charles asked with his voice and felt a bit of despair in his voice.
"Sure." I said. But the question is how. Charles is someone who is undoubtedly weak for his lineage but how I'm going to train him.
"Okay." Charles spoke with a small smile curling on his lips.
"You should kill as many Vampires as humanly possible. That will give you a base to work off of." I told him he nods like a child about to get candy.
"Sir! Sir! He's awake!" A random person called as we all slowly marched into the room. The person with midnight black hair was awakened.
"Are you awake?" Charles asked, looking at the person who looks like Charles.
"No, I am asleep." The black hair person snarled; he sounded like Charles already. Charles let out a growl. His eyes twitched.
"How about your name? Do you know that?" Charles asked. Midnight hair slowly shaked.
"Aaah. My head hurts." The midnight hair person groaned. "No I don't." The person said with a long sigh past his lips.
"How about Shadow okay for your name." Charles suggested with a smile.
"I like the name of Shadow." Shadow said with a nod. Slowly smiling at Charles.
"Let's go to training." Charles said with a smile on his face. He starts to lead the way. They walk to a rocky clearing snow coating the ground. They stand staring at each other. They were about a dozen steps away from each other.
"Okay let's throw it down." Shadow said. Charging at Charles. Suddenly they butt heads. Shadow forehead started to bleed. Charles grabs his shoulder and knee him in the throat. Shadow crumbled to the ground. Charles nailed him with a kick to his chest. Sending him to his back. Charles stomped on Shadow chest. Charles grinded his heel into his chest.
"Strength you need it. If you had strength then maybe you would still have your memories." Charles taunted. Why was he being so rude?
"Starlight: Release." Shadow said as he slowly glowed with Starlight. It glowed with Starlight. It was less bright than Charles. Charles immediately jumped back and I took to the sky. My and Charles' faces were filled with shock.
"What the hell." Charles said, completely dumbfounded. Someone else was using Starlight.
"Starlight: Demon Flames." Shadow said as he shot out silver blue flames. Charles did not move. He was hit and died. The flames circled him. He slowly walked out of the flames unharmed. But his body was slowly absorbing the silver flames.
"Interesting." Charles said as he charged at Shadow. Punching Shadow in the face. Hearing a crunching sound, Shadow noise was broken. But Starlight flooded the wound. Healing after a few seconds. The blood still covered the lower part of his face.
"Starlight: Demon Prison." Shadow howled as the silvery blue flames wrapped around Charles. As Charles started to glow with Starlight he absorbed the chains made of Starlight.
"Looks like my body naturally absorbs Starlight, maybe you can absorb mine." Charles said. Charles fought like a jackhammer with overwhelming force. Shadow even in his rage state fought like a needle with extreme precision.
"Starlight: Demon Buckshot." Shadow said as the silvery blue flames took the form of dozens of balls of those flames. Charles seemed to absorb the ones that hit him. Charles let out a bitter laugh.
"Starlight: Sword." Charles said as a sword made from Starlight appeared in his hand. A grin appeared on Charles' face.
"Starlight: Demon Fire." As the flames shot out at Charles. But Charles' sword seemed to devour the silvery flame.
"Funny is this what I'm like when I lose control?" Charles asked in the air.
"More than you know." I muttered under my breath. As slash ran across Shadow chest Charles sword made of Starlight seemed to glow even brighter. It took a second for the wound to heal.
"Starlight: Demon Rain." Shadow said as a massive ball of silvery blue flames was above his head. It rose far above them. I had to dodge out of the way. It almost hit me. As it burst into a dozen flames it was falling like raindrops. One hit my wing. I started to plummet to the ground. The ground was getting closer… Even closer.. Closer. As I shut my eyes waiting for impact. But the impact never came. Slowly I opened my eyes. Charles' eyes were golden and black. His pupils made a six point star. Starlight clinging to him like armor.
"You shall know pain!" Charles roared as he placed me on his shoulder.
"Starlight: Demon Sword." Shadow said, creating a sword of those silvery flames.
"Starlight: Tempest." Charles said as howling winds were kicked up. Slashes appeared on Shadow as he was knocked on his back. Charles prowled forward. His eyes glowed with animosity rolling off him like waves.
"Starlight: Demon-" Shadow started as then Charles had his hand around his neck. His eyes looked confused and panicked.
"When I drop you won't attack me. If you do, I will be taking your right arm." Charles said. Shadow nodded rapidly. As he was dropped to the ground.
"Sorry I lost control." Shadow looked down at the ground. Shadow was gasping for air. "Okay you use Starlight too, that's a shock." Shadow said his eyes held a huge amount of admiration and joy.
"So what of it?" Charles asked, confused.
"It hereditary meaning we are family." Shadow said, still coughing.
"How do you know this?" Charles questioned. Looking at him with suspicion.
"It is a recent memory I had with a man with a wolf mask and white displacer beast." Shadow said.
"Amarok." I said under my breath.
"Amarok. Gabriel's teacher Amarok." Charles said in shock. It was quite the shock.
"What about Sensei?" Gabriel said, scaring me. I felt Charles also jump a bit.
"Nothing much you want to spare?" Charles asked with a smile.
"Sure." Gabriel said with a matching smile. The forest seemed robotic slient in a way.
