Not only Nafız but even Wrestler, who was his own Power Animal, could not understand what was happening while watching Alyon. Surrounded by mutated, green-skinned creatures, each possessing a different shape, Alyon was sending the person who should have been his master into a new simulation with the only arm he could use.
"Alyon, is that you?"
When Nafız shouted, the giant orc, missing his left arm and left eye, turned toward them and began to approach step by step, with the four-thousand-strong mutated orc army trailing behind him. Nafız was not maintaining the Blood Cube technique, but Mora's training daggers were in her hands, and the blood flower patterns on them were glowing.
"Say something, Big Head!"
As Nafız's words ended, Alyon had come right up to her. The Blood God, who left no one alive that she encountered on the battlefield, was frozen before him; it was truly very difficult for her to harm her friend.
"Speak, damn it!"
Raising her weapons, Nafız shouted one last time; she was about to make her move, but a millimeter away from Alyon's throat, what she wanted happened.
"I'm very hungry, Nafız!"
The giant orc lost control of his body and collapsed into her arms. Nafız took a deep breath; she knew who was in her arms, and interestingly, when Alyon lost consciousness, the Neo-Orc Army warriors returned to their cages.
"Let's rest a bit first, get you treated; then you will feast on the torrents of blood we will spill!"
Nafız felt a massive weight lifted off her shoulders; she was seeing with her own eyes that her greatest fear had not come to pass. She turned her head and looked at the creatures entering their cages; they were also orcs, and they had become Alyon's personal army.
Meanwhile, in the same region, in the Northern part of the Mercenaries' Lodge, someone else was also looking at his personal army. Dimitri was advancing behind his soldiers in golden armor; Sasha was beside him, and Hammerforger, the leader of the army, was armored in a way that concealed he was an orc, positioned at the very front.
Master Leonardo was on the back of his Power Animal; together with his giant mole, which he obtained through the right recognized by the Orc Empire, it was very easy to avoid any danger. His apprentice, Michelangelo, was nowhere to be seen; with the authority he received, he had gone off alone to wage a front-line war.
"Master, will young Michelangelo be alright alone? According to the spies' reports, the other side has about a thousand soldiers under their command!"
Hammerforger opened the subject by pointing out the clouds of worry on the master's face when he approached; actually, it wasn't just him, the others were also thinking about this matter. A vanguard clash was not something to be taken lightly; it was of critical importance for gaining morale and taking momentum to their own side.
"There was nothing I could do, my orc friend; sooner or later, this moment would come!"
Master Leonardo didn't hide that he was afraid, but there were hints of an incomprehensible sense of confidence in his voice; he was sure he had prepared his apprentice in the best possible way for something he could not prevent no matter what he did.
"We could have at least given him some warriors. It wouldn't be that hard to bring a thousand orc warriors here in a short time!"
"Yes, you could have done it if you wanted, but I also know what the young man who has been training by my side for all these years can do. If you are next to him during a battle, it means not only the enemy but you are also in danger. Giving him someone would only mean being a burden to him; now let's leave him to fight however he wants!"
Things on the Northern front were getting more and more complicated. Difficult times were experienced not only on the Balsici family's front but also in the Golden Leaf Merchant Guild army, which had taken the Empire of Machines troops along with them.
Hubertus Strughold, who hadn't heard from his apprentice who reported hourly, was getting cranky, and after two hours of no communication, a scout team had already set off. This team included two mercenaries and two engineers; they advanced with the mechanical vehicle intended for the fastest possible transport. When they reached the location where the last signal was received, they first had to wait a few minutes to compose themselves because what they saw was hard to swallow.
"What happened here!"
"Everyone is dead, and they were killed with energy weapons!"
While the mercenaries watched the ashes remaining from their soldier comrades belonging to the same army, the engineers moved toward a more specific location, the area where the researchers protected by the energy shield were. They scattered the pale blue powder they took out of their bags around, continuously writing things down in their notebooks.
After spending ten minutes here, they wandered among the corpses that had turned to ash one by one; they were scattering the same powder, and when the ashes met the powder, they changed color. Hundreds of black ashes slowly turned blue, but finally, at long last, one of them began to take on a yellow color, just like in the place the engineers first went.
"We found him!"
"We must return immediately!"
The mercenaries, who hit the road back before even understanding what had happened, were simply bewildered, but the terror on the faces of the two researchers could be read from ten kilometers away. They had found something, words explaining what happened were written in their notebooks, and a day later, all of these were in the hands of Hubertus Strughold, inside the tent in the middle of the Golden Leaf Merchant Guild Camp.
"Is he dead?"
He could only say one thing as the notebook fell from his hand; his two elbows were on the table, his head between his hands. As a scientist, he had to see evidence, otherwise, he couldn't believe everything said or written, but the ashes inside the small tubes were enough to satisfy this need.
"Tell me, what happened?"
One researcher in the scout group stepped forward, and after taking his hands out of the pockets of his white coat, he placed another device on the table. The surface of the device, the size of an eyeball, had just been cleaned of dirt residue, and when the small button on it was pressed, it began to make various sounds.
"Everything is ready, we can begin the Lightning Field experiment!"
The recording started when his apprentice gave the order; from that moment on, everything spoken was recorded until he was forcibly taken out of the energy barrier by Nafız.
"Someone forced him out of the energy barrier, and with an outside intervention too. There is nothing after that moment; since the device receives the signal from the transmitter on your apprentice, we have no chance of hearing the conversations outside the barrier or what those left inside said, but we are certain of one thing: only one person did this!"
As Hubertus Strughold slammed his fist on the audio recording device, he smashed it to pieces. This piece of evidence couldn't be left lying around because it also contained how his apprentice killed a thousand mercenaries.
"Who could it be? Who could it be that managed to stay alive inside the energy field?"
The most authoritative person regarding human experiments, who stood up, was furious; the evidence only said that a single person had killed them, but there was no clue about who did it.
"Sir, while there is no definitive proof, all roads lead to a single person?"
Hubertus approached the person speaking step by step; the tension grew with each step, but there was no trace of worry in the eyes of the man in the white coat, hidden behind his glasses, within the scout team.
"Who is it?"
Even though one of the highest-level researchers was standing before him, the unbowed man answered quite calmly.
"The person whose name is at the top of our civilization's most wanted list and who we received information has been making new inventions using the resources of the Orc Empire. Fugitive High Architect Master Leonardo!"
