Chapter 203 - CHAPTER 203: THE THREE NINJA VS. THE DEMIGOD

CHAPTER 203: THE THREE NINJA VS. THE DEMIGOD

In the Land of Rain, the Konoha position that had been captured by the Rain Ninja surprise attack force lay transformed. Where Konoha flags had once flown, now the symbol of Amegakure marked every post. Rain ninja moved through the area, cleaning the battlefield and harvesting supplies left behind by the retreating forces.

Sansho Hanzo stood at the center of it all, surveying his conquest with a calm, impassive expression.

Just as he had predicted. The moment Konoha committed their forces to the front lines, their rear defenses became vulnerable. And the Uchiha clan—arrogant as ever—had failed to maintain proper vigilance. They thought themselves untouchable.

He had released the Sansho's poison silently. Without warning. The Uchiha's elite jonin had been wiped out in a single wave, leaving only scattered survivors to flee into the rain.

Around him, the Rain ninja looked at their leader with expressions of fanatical admiration.

This was their lord. The Demigod of the ninja world.

With a single thunderous strike, he had seized Konoha's position. A complete victory.

Following such a wise leader, one day the Land of Rain would become the sixth great nation of the ninja world. No longer would they be oppressed. No longer would they be a mere battlefield for greater powers.

"My lord." A Rain ninja appeared, dropping to his knees with profound respect. But hesitation flickered in his eyes—as if he carried difficult news.

Hanzo noted the expression. "What is it?"

The Rain ninja took a deep breath.

"My lord—battle report from the front. The Sand ninja and Iwa ninja have been defeated. They have surrendered to Konoha and agreed to withdraw from the Land of Rain. The Konoha forces are now returning."

A long exhale escaped Hanzo. "As expected."

His expression didn't change. This outcome was within his predictions. The alliance of convenience between Suna and Iwa was never stable. Collapse was inevitable.

"And Konoha's losses?"

"Almost none, my lord. This battle was ended by Konoha's Rakshasa once again."

"Rakshasa again." Hanzo's eyes narrowed slightly. "It seems Konoha has produced another powerful warrior."

"The Konoha forces are approaching now, my lord. Should we evacuate?"

Hanzo's gaze lifted to the rain-swept horizon.

"No need to evacuate. They are already here."

In the distance, through the curtain of rain, three figures appeared. Walking side by side. Jiraiya. Orochimaru. Tsunade.

Their eyes were firm. Their momentum like a rainbow piercing the clouds.

Hanzo studied them carefully. Behind the three, he saw no Konoha forces. No reinforcements. No backup.

Just three.

"Only you?" Hanzo's voice carried across the distance.

Jiraiya took a step forward, confidence radiating from every line of his body. "The three of us are enough for you!"

Around them, Rain ninja immediately gathered. Many were jonin—elite forces in their own right. In an instant, the three Konoha ninja were surrounded on all sides.

Hanzo observed the scene. Something flickered in his ancient eyes. Then he raised his hand.

"Withdraw."

The Rain ninja hesitated, but obeyed. They fell back, leaving a clear path.

"I will deal with them myself."

Hanzo walked forward calmly until he stood before the three. He studied them with the eye of a master evaluating promising students.

He knew their information well. Students of the Third Hokage. Direct disciples. And this woman—the princess of the Senju clan. Granddaughter of the God of Ninja himself.

"Your courage is commendable." Hanzo's voice held no mockery—only acknowledgment. "Facing a demigod without fear. Give it another ten years, and perhaps you could surpass me."

He paused.

"But not now."

"We'll see about that!" Tsunade's voice rang with defiance.

"I've long wanted to test your reputation," Orochimaru added, his dark eyes gleaming. "Is it truly deserved, or merely empty legend?"

"And I have a score to settle!" Jiraiya's fists clenched. "Last time, your poison caught me. This time will be different!"

Hanzo's expression shifted. A powerful aura emanated from his body—the pressure of a true Kage-level powerhouse. Such presence alone could freeze lesser ninja in place, rendering them unable to move.

And Hanzo was called a demigod. His pressure was on another level entirely.

The three Sannin felt the weight pressing down on them. Their brows furrowed. Muscles tensed. But not one of them took a single step back.

"Summoning Technique!"

Hanzo's hands flew through seals. Around him, a thick purple mist erupted from the ground. When it cleared, his figure had vanished.

In its place stood a massive creature.

The Sansho.

Jiraiya, Orochimaru, and Tsunade stared in shock at the creature before them.

The Sansho was not a fish, despite its name. It was a soft-bodied creature, similar in form to a slug but infinitely more terrifying. Its entire body was purple, each bump and ridge along its skin pulsating with visible venom. A summoning beast of immense power—and deadlier poison.

Half of Demigod Hanzo's strength lay in this creature.

Summoning beasts with poison abilities were among the most powerful weapons on any battlefield. They killed invisibly, silently, without warning. Their power was not inferior to a tailed beast.

Without means to counter the poison, a single Sansho could subvert an entire nation. Destroy a country.

And Hanzo's Sansho could evolve. Its poison could transform, adapt. You might develop an antidote for today's venom—but tomorrow, it would be useless.

This was why, without super medical ninjas like Tsunade or Chiyo, no ninja willingly fought Hanzo.

This was why the Land of Rain survived, despite being crushed between three great powers.

"Defeat me?" Hanzo stood atop the massive Sansho, looking down at the three ninja below. "First, survive my Sansho."

The giant creature loomed. Hanzo's demigod aura pressed down. The scene became suffocating.

Around them, the Rain ninja watched with worship in their eyes. This was their god. Invincible. Eternal.

Jiraiya managed a bitter smile. "It seems we have no choice."

"Jiraiya." Orochimaru's voice held a rare note of tension. "You've never succeeded with that technique."

"I have to try! Otherwise, we have no chance!" Tsunade's expression was grim, but her eyes burned with determination.

The three exchanged glances. Understanding passed between them—silent, complete, absolute.

Simultaneously, they bit their thumbs. Scarlet blood welled.

Hanzo's eyes narrowed as he recognized their hand seals. "Could it be—"

"Summoning Technique!"

Three palms slapped the ground together. Black runic veins spread in all directions like living things.

POOF! POOF! POOF!

Three consecutive sounds. Three bursts of white smoke. Three massive figures materialized.

From the smoke emerged:

A massive red toad, smoke curling from its pipe.

A gigantic purple snake, its scales gleaming with malice.

A enormous blue slug, its body glistening with moisture.

The three poisons of the ninja world—Toad, Snake, Slug—stood united at this moment. Their combined presence was like a rainbow, dazzling and terrible.

"Haha! It worked!" Jiraiya stood atop the great toad's head, dancing with triumph. "Gamabunta! Long time no see! I actually summoned you!"

"Tsunade-sama..." the great slug spoke, then noticed the enormous toad beside it. Instinctive fear flickered in its voice. "The great toad of Mount Myoboku!"

"Orochimaru." The great snake's voice was cold, imperious. "This had better be important. Hmph. The great toad of Mount Myoboku. Orochimaru, I'm hungry. Your social calls are poorly timed."

The three Sannin exchanged helpless glances.

It seemed the relationship between their three summoning beasts was... not the best.
