Chapter 80 - CHAPTER 80: THE WAY HOME

The villa gates loomed tall and intimidating, forged steel engraved with an unfamiliar crest.

Adrian stepped out of his car slowly.

For a moment, he simply stood there.

Luxury screamed from every corner — not the flashy kind, but the kind that whispered power. The kind that said old money, danger, untouchable. From the marble driveway to the glass-and-stone architecture rising like a private palace, everything about the place told him one thing:

Kiss didn't just survive without him.

She became something else.

He exhaled slowly.

"So this is where you've been hiding," he muttered.

Before he could take another step, several men in black suits moved with military precision, blocking his path.

"Sir, you are trespassing," one of them said flatly. "Please leave."

Adrian raised a brow. "Trespassing?"

"This property is private. No entry without authorization."

Adrian scoffed. "Call your boss."

"She didn't give—"

"I'm her husband."

The guards stiffened, but none of them moved aside.

"Sir, we don't have any record—"

"And that's your mistake."

The tension snapped when heels clicked against marble.

"Are you all deaf?"

The guards turned instantly.

Kiss stood at the entrance.

She was dressed casually — silk pants, fitted top, hair pulled into a loose ponytail — yet the authority rolling off her made the guards bow their heads immediately.

"What nonsense are you creating in front of my house?" she demanded coldly.

One guard spoke quickly. "Miss, he tried to force his way in."

Kiss's gaze shifted.

The moment her eyes landed on Adrian, her expression darkened.

"You," she said flatly.

Adrian smiled sheepishly. "Hi, wife."

Her eyes narrowed. She turned sharply to the guards.

"Did you stop him?"

"Yes, Miss."

She inhaled slowly, then snapped, "He's not him. He's my husband. Which makes him your boss."

The guards froze.

"Next time," Kiss continued icily, "anyone stops him again, you're dismissed. Permanently."

"Yes, Miss!"

She turned back to Adrian, folding her arms tightly, staring at him like she wanted to strangle him.

"You didn't call."

Adrian shrugged lightly. "I wanted to see where my wife lives."

Her lips pressed into a thin line. "You could've asked."

"You would've said no."

She didn't deny it.

After a tense beat, she turned on her heel. "Come in before I change my mind."

Adrian followed, eyes roaming the interior — towering ceilings, rare art, guarded silence.

"You live like royalty," he said quietly.

Kiss didn't respond.

She walked straight to the bedroom and resumed packing.

Adrian sat on the massive bed, watching her every movement — the sway of her hips, the curve of her waist, the way her fingers folded clothes with practiced control.

"Kiss," he murmured.

She felt his gaze like fire against her skin.

"Stop staring at me like that," she said without turning. "You're making it hard to concentrate."

"I'm not trying to help you concentrate."

She glanced over her shoulder, cheeks faintly flushed. "Behave."

Adrian stood.

Before she could react, he stepped behind her, pulling her back gently, hands settling on her waist.

"Kiss…"

His lips brushed her neck.

She inhaled sharply. "Adrian—"

His mouth moved to her shoulder blade, kissing slowly, deliberately.

"You said you're coming home," he murmured. "I need to make sure you mean it."

She shivered despite herself. "This is not the time."

"I disagree."

His hands slid upward, towards her breast, squeezing softly.

"Adrian," she warned, voice breathless, "if you do this now, I won't finish packing."

"I don't want you to finish packing."

She gasped as his fingers worked deftly, unbuttoning her blouse.

"You're impossible," she whispered.

"And you love it."

Her resistance melted — her body betraying her long before her mind could.

Adrian turned her around abruptly and kissed her roughly just the way she likes it.

Adrian pushed her against the wardrobe while removing the other obstacles called clothes.

He turned her around, bending her over making Kiss placed her palm on the wardrobe for support and thrusts in one go making both of them moaned.

He moved in and out roughly just the way he has imagined doing since morning.

He thrusts harder, faster, roughly when he realised Kiss is almost at her orgasm.

"Oh my goshhhh.....Adri...an,please calm.....down,the pleasure is too much",Kiss muttered

Adrian kissed her and whispered, " You can, princess, just don't fight it ".

Adrian penetrated deeper, chasing their orgasm together which came in a disastrous pleasure making both of them moaned together as the see stars.

Adrian carries her to the bed and continue there despite Kiss's protest.

Later, much later, she lay sprawled against the sheets, chest rising and falling, hair fanned around her face.

"You're unbelievable," she muttered weakly.

Adrian kissed her forehead. "Say thank you."

She snorted. "In your dreams."

The drive to the mansion was quieter.

Kiss sat rigidly, fingers clasped together.

"What if they hate me?" she asked suddenly.

Adrian glanced at her. "They won't."

"I left without a word. I disappeared. I—"

"You survived," he interrupted gently. "That's all that matters."

She swallowed. "What about the kids?"

"They miss you every day."

Her eyes burned.

Adrian reached over, squeezing her hand. "I've got you."

The mansion gates opened.

Lights glowed warmly inside.

Kiss's heart thundered.

"They don't know?" she whispered.

"No."

Her breath shook. "Okay."

Inside, laughter echoed faintly —

Augustina's voice, Isaac's low chuckle, the soft babble of children.

Kiss froze.

Adrian leaned closer. "You can leave if you want."

She shook her head. "No. I'm ready."

They stepped inside.

The living room conversation died instantly.

Everyone turned.

For one suspended second, no one spoke.

Augustina's eyes widened.

Isaac stood slowly.

The grandmother's hand flew to her chest.

And then—

"Kiss?"

She bowed her head slightly. "I'm home."

The room erupted.

Augustina rushed forward first, tears spilling freely. "You wicked girl!" She pulled Kiss into a fierce hug. "Do you know what you did to us?"

"I'm sorry," Kiss whispered, breaking.

Isaac cleared his throat roughly. "You better not disappear again."

"I won't."

Then came small footsteps.

Two little figures toddled forward.

Kiss dropped to her knees.

Her daughter stared at her, curious… then smiled as her son stares at her seriously.

"Mama?"

Kiss sobbed openly, arms wrapping around them. "Yes, my love. Mama's here."

Adrian watched, chest tight, eyes wet.

This time—

She wasn't leaving.

And the world could wait.
