Chapter 196: Three Marine Legends, Senbonzakura's Third Scene
Although the appearance of Commander-in-Chief Kong was not a surprise, it signaled a shift in the atmosphere.
Sengoku and Garp had sent a friendly signal to Yuichi, hoping for a peaceful resolution, but Kong's arrival represented the finality of the situation. From beginning to end, the intent was heavy. Although Kong showed a look of reluctance in his eyes, a Commander-in-Chief of the World Government's military would not alter his course due to personal emotions. That was impossible.
Kong looked at Yuichi, his inner emotions complicated. A man who could have grown into an excellent Marine, perhaps even a Fleet Admiral, had become the Marines' greatest enemy. Such a change was a pity even for Kong.
But his thoughts didn't matter; what mattered were the orders of the Five Elders.
Garp and Sengoku had fought for a chance with the Five Elders, but Yuichi turned it down. It didn't take long to travel from Naval Headquarters to Enies Lobby via the Tarai Current; the Marines should have arrived last night. But they waited for Sengoku and Garp, who came from the Holy Land of Mariejois to persuade Yuichi face-to-face.
The result, however, was unsatisfactory. Yuichi made a decisive choice, forcing Kong to step forward. Circumstances now left him with the secondary order from the Five Elders.
"Yuichi!" Kong looked at the young man. "If you refuse to return to the Marines, then you are an enemy of the Marines, and you must hand over your power!"
Hearing this, Yuichi smiled disdainfully. In the end, they still cared about the Chakra of the One-Tail Shukaku.
Looking at the mocking smile on Yuichi's face, Kong didn't bother to explain. What the Five Elders cared about was indeed the Tailed Beast Chakra. This was an undeniable fact, but Sengoku and Garp's efforts had truly convinced the Five Elders to compromise. They had promised that if Yuichi returned and proved his loyalty, they would never pursue the Tailed Beast Chakra again. After all, a person who could guarantee the safety of the World Government was worth rewarding, even if that reward was the power within him.
Boom!!
Suddenly, on the other side of the battlefield, Madara's Susanoo forced Kaido back. Madara turned to look in Yuichi's direction, having overheard the conversation.
Madara sneered. "It seems that no matter which world you are in, there are quite a few people peeking at powerful abilities!" He looked at Yuichi with interest. "From a hero to a target shouted at and beaten by everyone... your experience is a bit like mine, kid!"
It seemed Madara felt a kinship with his situation.
Yuichi smiled. "Is that so? If it weren't for the fact that we are from different worlds, I would really like to sit down and talk with you. Maybe we would become friends."
Madara laughed loudly. "It's a pity indeed! We are people from different worlds! Then let's fight, kid! I'm very concerned about your strength!"
Yuichi prepared to draw the Zanpakutō from his waist. However, the three Marine legends stood between him and Madara.
Garp's voice sounded from behind. "Yuichi, think about it again! Do you really want to be a pirate?"
Garp was already showing a hint of anger. Although he didn't understand why Yuichi refused to return, he had no patience for pirates.
Yuichi looked back at Garp. "If I say yes, do you want to fight me, Mr. Garp?"
Garp's eyes widened. "If you really want to be a pirate, then I will kill you here!"
His friend Sengoku had offended the Five Elders for Yuichi's sake. Yuichi's current performance made Garp feel that the boy had completely failed Sengoku's kindness. He was furious.
Sengoku sighed silently. "Yuichi, if you really don't plan to go back to the Marines, you can't become a pirate either."
There was a hint of an order in Sengoku's tone. It meant that if Yuichi disagreed, Sengoku would take action. And Yuichi did not like being ordered around.
Yuichi's gaze turned cold. "Hmph! My decision is not something Mr. Sengoku can change."
Hearing this, Aokiji, observing from a distance, felt depressed. Why wouldn't Yuichi listen to reason?
Sengoku stared at Yuichi blankly for several seconds. Seeing that Yuichi's eyes didn't waver, he sighed helplessly. "Then, Yuichi... if you insist on being a pirate, no matter what price is paid today, we must bring you back to Naval Headquarters!"
As he spoke, the momentum of Garp, Kong, and Sengoku suddenly shifted. They entered a battle state.
Two Marine Legends and one Marine Living Fossil. Although their bodies were aging and their strength was not what it once was, one must not forget that the Pirate World had experienced World Evolution. After the victories in the world wars, their bodies had recovered to a certain extent. While not at their peak, their physical condition had regressed fifteen or sixteen years. They were not frail old men; they were veterans with energy to spare.
Yuichi smiled, ignoring the three of them for a moment to look at Madara. "It seems that our battle will have to wait a little longer."
Madara was stunned for a moment, then nodded lightly. "I'll wait for you. I have plenty of time, and it's not like I don't have anyone to accompany me in activities now."
The Marine Admirals and Kaido in front of him were much angrier than the group facing Yuichi. Madara wouldn't be able to get rid of them immediately anyway.
Yuichi found it amusing that Madara was willing to wait. But now, things were getting interesting.
[Task Announcement]
[The Dignity of Nobility]
[Since you are oppressed, there is no room for turning back if you choose to leave.]
[Defeat: Sengoku, Garp, Kong]
[Task Reward: Unlock Senbonzakura Final Scene: "Final Scene — White Emperor Sword" (Shūkei: Hakuteiken) in advance]
It seemed that Byakuya Kuchiki was also angry; the dignity of the nobility could not be trampled upon.
What Yuichi didn't expect was the reward: unlocking the third stage of Senbonzakura early. The power of the Shūkei: Hakuteiken was terrifying. Currently, Yuichi's Template Awakening progress was only a little bit away from opening the Senkei (Second Scene).
Facing three Marine legends... perhaps this time, it wouldn't be possible to simply break through the character template to 70%. Yuichi's fighting spirit ran high.
Just at that moment.
Crackling...
A thunderbolt fell from the sky, landing directly in front of Yuichi. The lightning caused the expressions of Sengoku and the others to change slightly.
In the next second, the thunder and lightning gathered into a figure.
God Enel appeared, holding a golden trident. He looked at the three men in front of him. "Yo, yo! Are these the Marines from the Blue Sea? What do you want to do to our leader?"
Leader? Yuichi froze for a moment.
At this time, another presence appeared on the side. "Sengoku, Garp... Long time no see."
Hearing this voice, the two veterans raised their heads simultaneously to see Golden Lion Shiki sneering as he floated in mid-air.
