Chapter 168 - Chapter 45: First Bounty Contact

The world did not arrive all at once.

It arrived in layers.

Above the Echo Valley border, space rippled.

Not a portal.

Not a tear.

But multiple arrival permissions stacking into one unstable entry point.

Lian Yue immediately stepped closer to Tiān Lán.

"…They're coming in groups."

Tiān Lán nodded slightly.

"I know."

A pause.

"They can't agree on how to arrive either."

_MIRROR_

"Multiple faction signatures detected."

"Intent conflict present."

Silence.

That was dangerous.

A ripple split the air.

Then_

a squad of Truth Hunters descended.

But unlike before_

these were different.

Their armor was heavier.

Their symbols more stabilized.

Their presence less flexible.

Leader stepped forward.

"We are assigned containment priority response."

A pause.

"You will be restrained for analysis."

Lian Yue frowned slightly.

"…They're escalating."

Another spatial flicker.

Wei Zhaolin appeared this time.

But not alone.

He was accompanied by two senior formation scholars.

His gaze landed on Tiān Lán.

"…We are not here to fight."

A pause.

"We are here to prevent irreversible escalation."

The Truth Hunters turned slightly.

Instant tension.

A third ripple.

No formation signature.

No teleportation trace.

Just presence stepping into agreement with reality last.

The masked Observer stood on a fractured stone pillar.

Calm.

Watching all sides.

"…So all interpretations gathered at once."

Silence.

Now three factions stood in one unstable zone:

Truth Hunters → containment

Echo Sect → stabilization analysis

Observer → unknown intent

_MIRROR_

"Conflict of intent detected."

"No unified action possible."

Tiān Lán exhaled slowly.

"…So this is what happens when the world doesn't agree on me."

Truth Hunter commander raised a hand.

"Containment begins."

Wei Zhaolin immediately responded:

"If you force restraint here, you will destabilize the field further."

The Observer tilted their head slightly.

"You are both assuming he can be restrained in one outcome."

Silence.

Lian Yue stepped forward between factions slightly.

"…None of you are actually aligned."

A pause.

"You're just reacting differently to the same unknown."

Truth Hunter commander frowned.

"Step aside."

Wei Zhaolin spoke calmly.

"You are not authorized to interfere."

The Observer added quietly:

"She is correct, though."

Silence.

Even tension paused for a second.

_MIRROR_

"Contradiction density increasing."

"Field instability rising."

Tiān Lán looked at all three groups.

Then spoke.

"…You all came for me."

A pause.

"But none of you agree on what I am."

Silence.

Truth Hunter energy began forming.

Formation suppression field activated.

Echo Sect scholars raised stabilizing arrays.

Observer simply watched.

Not moving.

Not interfering.

Three systems.

Three intentions.

One target.

Tiān Lán stepped forward.

Guardian threads ignited.

Silver-blue lines spread_but not aggressively.

They extended outward.

Not attacking.

But touching all three systems at once.

BOOM_

All formations flickered.

Not destroyed.

But misaligned.

Truth Hunters staggered slightly.

Echo Sect arrays destabilized.

Even Observer's field shimmered.

_MIRROR_

"You are forcing cross-interpretation failure."

Tiān Lán spoke calmly:

"…You cannot agree on what I am."

A pause.

"So you cannot agree on how to act."

For the first time_

all three factions hesitated.

Because every action they considered_

failed in at least one interpretation layer.

"…Interesting."

A pause.

"You are not resisting."

"You are invalidating decision structure itself."

Lian Yue glanced at Tiān Lán.

"…You're breaking their ability to choose."

Tiān Lán replied quietly:

"I'm not breaking anything."

A pause.

"They are just not compatible with each other."

_MIRROR_

"You are becoming a convergence null point."

No side moved.

Because no side could move without causing contradiction collapse.

Truth Hunters lowered weapons slightly.

Echo Sect formation remained unstable.

Observer continued watching.

And Tiān Lán stood at the center.

Not surrounded.

But interpreting all of them at once.

Wind moved again.

But no faction could decide what direction it came from.

Lian Yue stood beside Tiān Lán.

"…So what now?"

Tiān Lán looked forward.

"…Now they realize they can't resolve me with force alone."

Silence.

_MIRROR_

"First bounty contact complete."

"No resolution achieved."

"World consensus failure increasing."
