"N-No? No, this... This can't be!" Taro-kun stammered.
Mr. Alex gritted his teeth and lowered his head. His voice was hoarse but shocking: "Taro-san, just think about it... Couriers can take human form. Are you sure that girl who hurt you died in Hiroshi? Don't you think she might still be alive?"
Taro-kun was shaken by what he heard. He ran his hand over the stitches that were just starting to heal; the pain felt as if it had flared up again. Mitsuni-chan gently touched Taro-kun's shoulder and interrupted: "Okay Taro-abi, please calm down." Then she turned to Mr. Alex with a frown: "Mr. Alex, he's just starting to recover. What you're doing is really too much!"
"He's telling the truth, Mitsuni," Lady Akira-sama interjected. At that moment, Kaito-kun confirmed in an ice-cold voice: "Yes, Taro-abi... Unfortunately, this might be true."
Taro-kun's eyes filled with tears, his voice trembling: "N-No, I... I don't want to believe this..."
Right at that moment, a piercing scream echoing through the house corridors made everyone jump!
Haruto-kun and Kaito-kun briefly locked eyes. At the same time, they shouted "Yuki!" and started running toward the children's room. Everyone at the table followed them in a great panic. When they quickly opened the door, the scene they saw was horrifying: Yuki-chan was lying on the floor, moaning in pain.
While Shin-kun was trying to restrain her, Zen-kun was standing next to Kazeki, trying to calm him down. Sora-san rushed in through the door and asked in horror: "Kids, what happened here?"
At that moment, Haruto-kun bumped into Sora-san as he reached Yuki-chan's side and took her hand with trembling hands. "I-It's okay Yuki, calm down... I'm here. Breathe, please breathe!"
Kaito-kun looked at Sora-san and gave a nod as if to say "I need to get Haruto out of here." Sora-san blinked in acknowledgment and turned to Zen-kun: "Zen, what happened, big sis?"
Right then, Yuki-chan lost consciousness. Her hand slipped lifelessly from Haruto-kun's palm and fell to the floor. Haruto-kun froze. "Y-Yuki?"
Kaito-kun began shaking his shocked brother by the shoulders: "Hey Haru! Snap out of it! Haruto!" Under Daichi-san's worried gaze, Kaito-kun forcibly pulled Haruto-kun to his feet. "Kaito, let me go! Where are we going? I'm fine!" Haruto-kun shouted, but his voice echoed emptily.
Just before Haruto-kun was taken out the door, he turned to Mitsuni-chan and cried out: "Mitsuni! What happened to Yuki?"
Mitsuni-chan swallowed and looked at Yuki-chan lying on the floor. As Yuki-chan struggled to breathe as if being choked by an invisible force, a cold and mechanical voice echoed in the middle of the room:
