Chapter 360 - Chapter 362: Dexter Gets Sued, Tony's Evil Plan

Dex Restaurant.

Dexter sat on the sofa, concentrating on carving a fruit platter.

Suddenly, a burly black man walked in, came straight up to Dexter, grinned, and said, "Dexter?"

Dexter looked up at this guy, a bit confused about the situation. "Yeah?"

"You've been served," the burly man said, handing over the court summons he was holding.

Hearing this, Dexter was instantly amused.

What was this situation? Sitting at home, and trouble falls from the sky?

Now this is going to be fun.

Dexter smiled and nimbly took the summons. "Thanks."

The burly man had really never seen many people react to being sued as happily as Dexter did. He was a bit baffled but didn't say much more, turning around and leaving.

Dexter found it very entertaining and hurriedly opened the summons to read.

At this time, Veronica, Mandy, and Vivian, who had been busy with their own tasks, all walked over anxiously.

"Boss, who's suing you?"

"Did someone get sick from eating here?"

Dexter had originally thought the same thing, but it wasn't. "According to this, it's not a problem with the restaurant. A guy named Jack Howell broke his leg at the entrance of one of my properties."

Hearing this.

Being a South Sider, Veronica immediately understood what was going on and hurriedly asked, "You bought insurance for that house, right?"

Dexter smiled and shook his head. "No. Too many houses, how much insurance would I have to buy?"

"Uh," Veronica felt like Dexter was showing off. "Then you're in trouble. This kind of thing is very common in the South Side. Some scumbags often deliberately run to other people's doorsteps, get themselves injured, and then extort money!"

Dexter wasn't surprised.

In the original series, Frank, who was actually very afraid of death, had done this kind of thing at Sheila's doorstep to get money for a new liver. Dexter was very familiar with it.

"It's fine," Dexter replied with a smile, standing up. "As a very wealthy rich man, I have an advantage, which is that I can hire many lawyers to play this idiot to death."

The fact was:

Hiring lawyers was fake; playing this idiot to death was real.

Dexter was looking forward to it. "Alright, you guys go back to work. I'm going to go have a chat with my lawyer."

Chat about what?

Naturally, to have the lawyer find this Jack Howell.

After speaking, Dexter didn't delay and walked out happily.

"Boss, are we still open for lunch?" Veronica suddenly thought of this and asked.

"Of course, I'll be back in a bit," Dexter waved his hand without looking back.

Time flew.

After instructing the lawyer to get Jack Howell's information, Dexter returned.

Just as he walked into the restaurant.

Mandy, who hadn't said a word earlier but actually had quite complex feelings about Dexter today, immediately came over. "Boss, is it easy to solve? Do you need my help? We Milkoviches are very good at handling this kind of thing."

During the time Dexter was away, Mandy thought a lot and decided she still wanted to try to keep this job, so she proactively offered.

"Shouldn't be necessary. The lawyer said it can be solved quickly. Let's see first. If it doesn't work out then, I'll find you," Dexter replied with a smile.

Mandy also smiled. "Okay."

---

Noon.

Having grabbed a casual lunch early, Tony didn't waste time. He immediately took the printed photos of Jimmy committing crimes, got into his car, and returned to North Wallace Street, preparing to lie in wait.

It didn't take too long.

Tony arrived diagonally across from the Gallagher house, parked, turned off the engine, looked at the Gallagher house, and waited patiently.

Although he actually wasn't sure if Jimmy was still at the Gallagher house, he was only seventy or eighty percent certain.

But it didn't matter.

Compared to the fun after this was over, waiting for a while meant nothing at all.

The Gallagher House.

Jimmy was still there, and had just been woken up by the heat, opening his eyes.

In this hot weather, right at noon, there was only an old electric fan whirring in Fiona's room, which was basically useless.

Jimmy woke up, almost completely soaked in sweat, his clothes sticking to his skin, feeling truly uncomfortable. He sat up instinctively and wiped the sweat from his face.

At this moment, Fiona, who was long accustomed to this life, was woken by Jimmy's movement. She opened her eyes and smiled at Jimmy. "Hot, right?"

Jimmy smiled back. "How about I install an air conditioner in your room?"

The current Fiona still treated this kind of thing as charity. Her first reaction was to shake her head and refuse. "No."

Her second reaction was, "Running the AC, how much would the electricity bill be a month? I can't afford it."

Jimmy had actually basically gotten used to Fiona's almost pointless stubborn pride. "I use the AC too, I can cover half the electricity bill."

"No," Fiona refused again, then stretched, not wanting to continue this topic. "It's not that hot, you'll get used to it."

Jimmy had no choice but to drop it. He picked up his phone and checked it. "It's noon. Get up for lunch?"

"I want to sleep a bit longer," Fiona wasn't hungry yet.

Jimmy wasn't sleepy anymore. Thinking briefly, he said, "Then I'll go buy you lunch. When I get back, you can get up and eat."

"Okay," Fiona instantly felt a wave of warmth. She agreed, then kissed Jimmy. "Thanks."

Ten-plus minutes later.

Having taken a shower and feeling much more comfortable, Jimmy walked quickly out of the Gallagher house toward the luxury car by the roadside.

Tony spotted him immediately, smiled smugly, hurriedly started the car, stepped on the gas, and in the blink of an eye, drove his car next to Jimmy's car. He rolled down the window and smiled at Jimmy, who had just walked to the car side. "Jimmy, I want to talk to you about something. Get in."

Tony's movement was too sudden, rushing over like that. He was obviously waiting specifically... Jimmy, being a criminal after all, realized this immediately. He frowned, got nervous, and didn't want to get in the car. "Hey, Tony. Whatever it is, just say it."

"It's quite complicated to explain, it'll take some time. Get in first," Tony smiled brilliantly.

Jimmy frowned even tighter, struggling again instinctively. "I have something urgent right now, how about another day..."

Tony smiled, didn't waste time, and decisively took out a photo, waving it at Jimmy. Then, he smiled, "I'm not asking. Get in."

Thump!

Jimmy saw the content of the photo clearly. His expression changed drastically on the spot, and he instinctively wanted to run.

Tony was a fairly capable cop. Seeing Jimmy still not moving, he spoke again, "I'm not talking to you as a cop right now. If you run, the situation will be different."

"Jimmy, you don't want to go to prison, right?"

"..." Jimmy indeed didn't want to, and didn't even dare to imagine the situation of going to prison. After hesitating again, he had to bite the bullet and move, stiffly sitting into the passenger seat next to Tony.

Tony was very happy and stepped on the gas. "No need to be so nervous. Relax a little. Let's have a good talk and strive to reach a deal that makes both you and me happy."
