Gibbs: secured.

Dexter chuckled and exhaled a puff of smoke. "Well then, Mr. Gibbs, let's start recruiting the crew."

As he spoke, Dexter pulled the remaining forty silver coins from his pocket and placed them on the table. "Deduct the crew's signing fees, and use the rest to buy supplies."

Gibbs's eyes shone even brighter.

That's a lot of silver!

This Captain is fantastic!

"Aye, Captain!" Gibbs responded excitedly, scooping up the money.

Afterward, the two discussed details: the number of crew members needed, the ship's location, what supplies to buy, how long the voyage would be, and so on.

Once that was settled, Dexter introduced Bianca and Carl.

Gibbs greeted Bianca and Carl warmly.

Everything went incredibly smoothly.

"We leave tonight. I'm in a rush," Dexter said after covering the essentials, standing up. "We'll wait for you on the ship."

"Aye!" Gibbs agreed readily. Not wasting any time, he stood up immediately, grabbed his tankard, and moved to the side to start recruiting right there in the tavern.

Dexter had no interest in that part. He took Bianca and Carl and left to find a place for dinner.

Pirate crews were basically consumables.

He wasn't interested in getting to know them too well.

After finishing dinner and packing some food to go, the three returned to the Bianca.

Will Turner was still tied to the mast, gagged, his eyes burning with rage.

Dexter walked up to Will with the takeout, squatted down, and smiled. "I'm going to untie you so you can eat and use the bathroom. You have to promise not to run. Otherwise, I will have to break your leg. And honestly, I really don't want to do that."

"Do you understand?"

Will Turner was furious. He wanted nothing more than to fight Dexter to the death.

But a wise man knows when to bow his head.

Will knew that to escape this situation, he needed strategy, not brute force.

Will Turner nodded and made a muffled noise of agreement.

"Good," Dexter smiled.

A moment later.

Will Turner regained his freedom and immediately stretched his body.

Being tied up for so long was torture.

After stretching, Will indicated he needed to relieve himself.

"Daijiu, go with him. Don't let him escape," Dexter ordered Daijiu, who looked like he could sleep for eternity.

Daijiu heard him, didn't bark, just silently stood up and shook himself off.

In the blink of an eye.

Escorted by Daijiu, Will Turner went below deck, found a bucket, and relieved himself. Meanwhile, his eyes darted around, searching for a way out.

Searching, searching...

Suddenly, Daijiu let out a low growl, his eyes turning fierce.

Will Turner heard it and felt a jolt of genuine fear. He realized then that this dog named Daijiu wasn't as stupid as he looked.

Will felt a surge of frustration.

There was no way out from below deck.

After finishing his business, Will had to force himself to be patient. He pretended to cooperate and obediently returned to the deck to eat dinner.

While eating, Will secretly scanned his surroundings.

Actually, in a place like this, the best way to escape was to jump into the sea as fast as possible, dive deep, and swim to shore.

After thinking silently for a few seconds, Will glanced casually at the trio.

Dexter and Bianca were flirting over by the helm.

Carl was on the deck not far away, swinging his sword around with zero technique.

It's now or never!

Knowing he'd be tied up again right after dinner, Will didn't dare let this chance slip away. Steeling himself, he suddenly bolted toward the railing facing the open sea.

Will Turner used every ounce of strength he had, sprinting like his life depended on it.

Unfortunately.

Whoosh~

Daijiu was faster!

In a flash, Daijiu moved like lightning, cutting off Will Turner's path. He bared a mouthful of gleaming teeth and let out a low snarl.

Honestly, the intimidation Daijiu projected in that moment was powerful.

Will Turner was stunned and scared. He slammed on the brakes, not daring to charge forward.

At this moment.

Dexter, Bianca, and Carl all turned around to look at Will Turner and Daijiu.

Dexter grinned, immediately started walking over, and waved a hand to summon Carl. "Carl, time to go to work!"

"You got it!" Carl was instantly thrilled, running over while waving his sword.

Seeing this.

Will Turner's heart sank to the bottom of his stomach. He guessed Dexter was about to make good on his promise to break his leg...

The next instant.

Desperate to avoid that fate, Will Turner gritted his teeth and decided to gamble everything on one last sprint. He turned and ran again.

He only made it two steps...

With a white blur in the air, Daijiu struck as fast as the wind. With terrifying precision, he pounced, tackling Will Turner to the deck and clamping his jaws around Will's right shoulder!

Daijiu didn't bite down too hard, but he was ready to sink his teeth into the flesh at any moment.

"I suggest you don't move, unless you don't want that arm anymore," Dexter called out timely, offering a friendly reminder with a smile.

Will Turner was smart. He immediately gave up resisting.

Moments later.

Dexter and Carl arrived at Will's side.

Lying on the deck, Will stared at Dexter with hatred in his eyes, gritting his teeth in silence.

"Daijiu, release," Dexter smiled and ordered.

Daijiu let go immediately.

Dexter then turned to Will Turner. "Will, I told you. If you tried to run, I'd break your leg."

"You bastard! I'm going to kill you!" Will Turner roared with unwavering determination.

Dexter ignored him completely and turned to Carl. "Carl, you know how to break his leg?"

Hearing this, Carl grinned brilliantly and nodded heavily. "I know!"

"Excellent. You do the honors," Dexter smiled. He squatted behind Will's head and used both hands to firmly pin Will's shoulders down. "Will, don't blame me. I didn't want to do this either. But a promise is a promise, right?"

"!!!" Veins popped on Will Turner's forehead. He was truly terrified now and unleashed a stream of curses.

Dexter ignored him.

So did Carl.

A moment later.

Crack!

"Ahhh!!" Will Turner screamed, a wretched, agonized sound.

---

A few minutes later.

Carl, feeling a rush of satisfaction he had never felt in his life, tied the unconscious-from-pain Will back to the mast.

Done.

"Dexter, I seriously love being a pirate!" Carl beamed at Dexter.

"As long as you're happy," Dexter replied with a smile. He then looked at Bianca. "Bianca, come take a look at his leg. We need to treat him."

This was the benefit of having a doctor on the team.

Bianca was confused: "????"

What kind of logic is this?

Stunned for two seconds, Bianca recovered slightly. She didn't move, just asked Dexter in bewilderment, "Treat him how?"

"You're the doctor, and you're asking me?" Dexter retorted.

Bianca: "...I mean, in a place like this, how am I supposed to treat him? His leg is broken."

"Ms. Greene, as a doctor, you need to use your imagination," Dexter teased.

Bianca: "...Mr. King, just how big of a misunderstanding do you have about doctors?"

"No misunderstanding," Dexter shook his head. " Doctors are just another flavor of uniform temptation, right?"

Bianca: "..."
