"Ah! Little Crow, come back!" Bianca cried out, panicked. She had just been startled by Elizabeth's fall, and now seeing Little Crow suddenly fly away, she was frantic.
"It's fine. Little Crow is smart. He'll come back on his own after he's had his fun," Dexter said immediately, laughing.
"Really?" Bianca wasn't sure.
"Don't worry," Dexter replied with certainty.
At this moment, Elizabeth had already plunged into the sea. Jack Sparrow had just splashed into the water to begin his rescue.
The gears of fate connecting Jack Sparrow and Elizabeth began to turn from this point on.
Dexter glanced back.
A large group of soldiers was rushing over.
"That beauty who fell into the water seems to be a VIP. A lot of soldiers are coming. Let's go," Dexter said, withdrawing his gaze.
Bianca and Carl had no objections.
The three humans and one dog got up and moved, heading away from the soldiers.
Leaving the docks, guided by Dexter, they continued their stroll.
This "stroll" lasted over an hour.
During that time, they checked out the Governor's mansion, grabbed some food, and even found a tavern to sit in for a while, drinking some cheap rum.
Before they knew it, the sky began to darken. Evening would arrive soon.
Time to kidnap Comrade Will Turner.
Dexter thought to himself. Then, his eyes darted around as he ramped up his acting. He put on a surprised expression and exclaimed, "Holy sht! A bunch of information just popped into my head!"
"This dream is seriously weird!"
"Carl, let's go! We're gonna go kidnap someone important!"
Hearing this.
Click.
Instantly, Carl was overwhelmingly excited. "Okay!"
Carl couldn't care less about what information appeared in Dexter's head or who they were kidnapping; he only cared about the act of kidnapping itself.
But Bianca cared. "What information did you get?"
Dexter shook his head decisively. "I can't say it. It feels like some force is stopping me from speaking. Whatever, let's just go. What comes next is gonna be super fun, trust me!"
Bianca had always trusted Dexter, and she was very interested in "fun things." Plus, since this was a dream anyway, she hesitated for only a moment before dropping her usual caution. She couldn't be bothered to overthink it. "Okay!"
The three humans and the dog set off immediately.
Walking out of the tavern.
Dexter didn't waste time. He immediately pulled up the System and opened loot boxes.
> [You opened a Silver Loot Box. Congratulations! You obtained: A Single-Masted Pirate Ship.]
> Note: This ship is upgradable and namable. Would you like to name it now?
Heh.
Dexter knew the loot boxes would definitely yield a pirate ship. He smiled silently and named it without a second thought.
The Bianca.
> [Naming successful. Would you like to claim it now?]
Not yet. Wait until we've kidnapped Will Turner and reached the docks.
> [You opened a Silver Loot Box. Congratulations! You obtained: A Nautical Chart.]
Good stuff!
> [You opened a Silver Loot Box. Congratulations! You obtained: Unlimited Double-Barreled Flintlock Pistols.]
> Note: Each pistol comes pre-loaded with two rounds of gunpowder. Claimable one by one.
Damn, this prize is generous.
> [You opened a Silver Loot Box. Congratulations! You obtained: 10 Years of Pirate Captain Experience.]
Instantly.
Dexter understood the structure, operation, and every function of a sailing ship like the back of his hand.
In other words, just like that, Dexter became a qualified pirate captain!
> [You opened a Silver Loot Box. Congratulations! You obtained: Master Diving Skill.]
> Note: With this skill, you can hold your breath and dive underwater for up to 30 minutes.
This is badass too.
> [You opened a Silver Loot Box. Congratulations! You obtained: 100 Silver Coins.]
Alright.
He had everything he needed. No more opening boxes.
Dexter lit his pipe again and led Bianca, Carl, and Daijiu toward the blacksmith shop.
They arrived at the side of the shop.
Because he had seen soldiers still searching for Jack Sparrow along the way, Dexter knew Sparrow was still on the run.
So.
He stopped, called Bianca and Carl over, and whispered, "The person we're going to kidnap is a blacksmith in that shop. He shouldn't be back yet. Wait until he returns, then follow me inside. Don't talk, just follow my lead."
Carl was practically vibrating with excitement. He nodded vigorously. "Okay!"
Bianca was clearly excited too. "Mmhmm."
Seeing them so cooperative, Dexter breathed a sigh of relief. This saved a lot of trouble.
The three of them waited quietly.
---
Time passed quickly.
Stepping with his signature minced gait and swaying body, the fugitive Jack Sparrow appeared at the blacksmith's door.
Spotting Jack Sparrow, Carl's eyes lit up instantly. He whispered, "That pirate!"
"Shh, quiet," Dexter reminded him immediately.
Carl instinctively covered his mouth.
At that moment, Jack Sparrow pushed open the door, walked into the blacksmith shop, and sneakily closed the door behind him.
Dexter waited patiently.
A few minutes later.
Will Turner appeared, walked into the shop, and casually shut the main door.
"Action!"
Seeing this, Dexter didn't delay. As the word left his mouth, he strode forward.
Bianca, Carl, and Daijiu followed excitedly.
In moments.
They reached the main door. Dexter reached out and pushed gently.
The latch behind the door was bolted.
Not a big problem.
These old-fashioned latches were easy to deal with.
Dexter drew his rapier, slid it through the crack in the door, and pushed upward hard.
The door opened.
The three people and the dog all entered the blacksmith shop.
Jack Sparrow and Will Turner, who were in the middle of a sword fight, froze instantly. "???"
"Who are you? Pirates?" Will Turner asked, his gaze sharp.
Dexter didn't stop walking. As he approached Will Turner, he claimed a flintlock pistol to his waist, drew it, and aimed it at Will. Only then did he smile and speak. "Drop the sword."
"!!!!" Will Turner's face went rigid instantly. His expression was incredibly dark, but he refused to drop his weapon.
"Carl, Bianca, go," Dexter stopped and ordered.
Schwing, schwing.
Hearing this, Bianca and Carl, full of adrenaline, drew their swords in unison and rushed to Will Turner's flanks, pointing their blades at him.
"Kid, three swords and a gun. What's your play?" Seeing the setup, Jack Sparrow remarked with ample charm.
Will Turner's eyes darted around, but he still wouldn't drop the sword immediately.
One second, two seconds.
Clang.
Will Turner's right hand relaxed, and his longsword hit the ground with a crisp ring.
"Carl, you know where to kick?" Dexter saw this and dropped a hint.
Carl heard him, gave a cocky grin, and didn't hesitate. He quickly circled behind Will Turner and launched a kick straight between Will's legs.
He put some serious force into it.
In an instant.
"Oh!!" Will Turner groaned miserably, arching his back and collapsing to his knees.
"Hiss!" Jack Sparrow squeezed his legs together, inhaling sharply with an exaggerated expression, as if his own jewels had been kicked. It was a bit effeminate, honestly.
But, genuinely funny.
"Jack, run. Norrington is close behind," Dexter warned him, time being of the essence. At the same time, he took two quick steps, wound up, and punched Will Turner in the temple.
Will Turner's vision went black, and he slumped to the ground, unconscious.
"Awesome!" Carl was having the time of his life.
"Sheathe your swords, let's go!" Time was truly running out. Dexter hoisted Will Turner onto his back and immediately headed for the exit.
Bianca and Carl obediently followed without delay.
Jack Sparrow swayed slightly, watching Dexter and the others leave, frowning. He couldn't figure out what the hell was going on. It was baffling.
