Chapter 133 - Battle of Asgard I

The Bifrost Observatory - Asgard

Ernst was prepared to resume fighting.

Suddenly, the air pressure dropped, and the smell of ozone filled the room.

"Who dares be so bold in Asgard?" a loud voice boomed.

Ernst turned to see Thor, the God of Thunder, flying down.

He landed hard on the golden floor, followed closely by a burst of lightning.

Seeing the injured Heimdall and Elliot, Thor angrily swung his hammer, Mjolnir, straight at Ernst's head.

Ernst felt frustrated. He had wanted to explain his presence, but he knew he had to show his strength first so he wouldn't look weak.

He crossed his Vibranium knives to block the hit and prepared his energy-absorption ability just in case.

The hammer crashed into the blades with immense force. The Vibranium held, allowing Ernst to absorb the kinetic energy.

Suddenly, Mjolnir released a burst of lightning that hit them both, sending them flying backward.

Thor quickly rolled and stood back up. Ernst floated in the air, absorbing the remaining electricity before landing safely.

This surprised Thor.

Taking advantage of Thor's confusion, Ernst jumped into the air, ready to slash. Thor confidently raised his hammer to block.

The hammer stopped Ernst's first strike, but a second, much stronger force followed.

Ernst called this "Stacking Waves," using the energy he had just absorbed to boost his attack.

The redirected force hit Thor hard, sending him tumbling backward across the bridge.

Ernst charged forward to finish the fight, but the injured Elliot and Heimdall jumped in to protect their prince.

Ernst didn't stop. He blocked a sword thrust and knocked Heimdall out with the back of his knife.

Then, he kicked Elliot in the stomach, leaving him gasping on the floor.

Thor got up and saw Ernst easily beat his friends. Feeling humiliated and angry, Thor's aura grew violent, and lightning crackled around his armor.

Deep in Asgard, Odin opened his eye and muttered, "Have you awakened? Don't disappoint me."

Sensing Thor's power rising, Ernst grew serious.

His own aura flared up to match the god's.

"Attack!" they both yelled, charging at each other.

Thor's hammer glowed with concentrated lightning. Ernst swung his glowing blue swords.

They collided with a massive explosion that knocked Heimdall and Elliot into the sea below and destroyed half the nearby buildings.

The Rainbow Bridge, however, held firm.

Ernst blocked the attack and pushed Thor away. Recovering quickly, Thor threw his hammer at Ernst with all his might.

Ernst crossed his knives to block again, but the throw was too strong.

The force pushed him backward through a wall and out over the ocean.

Using his gravity manipulation, Ernst stopped himself from falling and hovered in the air while he absorbed the hammer's energy.

Thor watched from the hole in the wall, surprised his opponent could fly.

Thor called his hammer back and raised it to the sky. A massive bolt of lightning struck Ernst.

Ernst pushed his absorption abilities to the limit.

Drawing on his experience fighting Wonder Woman, he managed to absorb the Asgardian lightning without getting hurt.

Tired of just taking hits, Ernst smiled. He opened his mouth and fired all the absorbed lightning right back at Thor.

Caught off guard, Thor took the blast to the chest and flew backward, crashing hard onto the bridge.

Worried he might have killed the prince and angered Odin, Ernst flew after him.

Fortunately, Thor's godly body protected him, and he slowly got back to his feet.

Ernst sighed in relief, but Thor was still too proud to give up.

The angry Thunder God stood up, called his hammer back, and threw it at Ernst again.

Ernst fought Thor at close range. He had been holding back, but Thor kept swinging wildly. Annoyed, Ernst started fighting harder.

He made sure not to kill Thor but used painful martial arts moves to dodge and strike him easily. Thor started to sweat, unable to land a single hit.

Frustrated and afraid of missing another throw, Thor didn't know what to do. Suddenly, he heard a voice from behind.

"Thor, we're here to help!"

Ernst saw four people running toward them: Sif, Volstagg, Hogun, and Fandral.

Behind them stood Loki, quietly watching.

The four warriors charged to help.

Thor laughed, "My friends are here. You're finished."

Ernst quickly pushed Thor back and turned to attack Sif. Fandral blocked the strike, but his sword shattered against Ernst's Vibranium blade.

Volstagg swung a massive axe at Ernst's head, while Hogun threw his spiked mace.

Ernst easily pushed Sif away, caught Volstagg's axe between his knives, and used it to block Hogun's mace.

The weapons clashed loudly, leaving the warriors' arms numb.

In just a few seconds, Ernst had easily beaten the four warriors.

They had only managed to buy Thor a little time.

Thor used the distraction to jump high into the air, swinging his hammer down with all his remaining strength to crush Ernst.

Ernst took a deep breath, crossed his swords, and prepared to absorb the massive hit.

The hammer struck the swords with a loud bang, and a huge amount of energy flooded into Ernst.

His body swelled for a second before shrinking back to normal as he processed the power.

Ernst looked up into Thor's shocked eyes, lowered his blades, and said coldly, "Now it's my turn."
