Yagami lifted one hand and pointed forward.
"Today, we end this war."
A cheer began somewhere in the rear ranks.
At first, it was only a handful of voices.
Then another group joined them.
Within seconds, the entire Konoha army erupted.
"Yeah!"
"Let's crush Iwagakure!"
"For Konoha!"
The earth itself seemed to tremble beneath the thunderous cries of the shinobi.
Yagami stood at the front of the army, his white cloak fluttering behind him as he calmly raised his hand.
"Move out."
The massive formation immediately began advancing.
Kushina walked beside Yagami, while Nara Shikaku and the other jōnin commanders followed close behind. Thousands of Konoha shinobi marched after them in tightly organized formations.
Their footsteps echoed across the land.
Before long, they crossed the distance separating the two armies.
However, Iwagakure had not remained idle.
The moment their scouts discovered Konoha's advance, the entire Iwagakure force was dispatched from its encampment.
The two armies soon met upon a vast, rocky plain.
Dust drifted through the air as thousands of shinobi stood facing one another.
At the head of Iwagakure's army stood a massive figure with his arms crossed over his chest.
Han.
The Five-Tails' jinchūriki.
The same man Yagami had beaten so thoroughly that he had been forced to flee with his tail between his legs.
Han's masked face remained unreadable, but the way his body stiffened upon seeing Yagami revealed that he had not forgotten their previous battle.
Yagami, however, barely spared him a glance.
His attention was fixed on the elderly man floating high above the Iwagakure forces.
The man was short, with a large red nose, a white beard, and a stern expression. His arms were folded behind his back as he stared down at Konoha's army with grave eyes.
The Third Tsuchikage.
Ōnoki of Both Scales.
"So…"
Ōnoki's voice drifted down from above.
"You're that brat called Yagami who has been stumbling around the battlefield and causing trouble for Iwagakure."
His narrowed eyes examined Yagami from head to toe.
"You don't look like much."
Of course, those words were nothing more than a psychological attack.
Ōnoki did not truly believe them.
Anyone capable of defeating Han, crushing Iwagakure's elite forces, and driving Kirigakure away from Konoha in only two days could never be dismissed as someone who did not look like much.
The brat standing before him was dangerous and someone not to be underestimated.
Yagami raised his head and stared at the floating Tsuchikage.
Then he laughed.
"You should come down a little."
Ōnoki's brows furrowed.
"What do you mean?"
Yagami tilted his head, pretending to search the sky.
"You're so small that I can barely see you from down here."
For a moment, the battlefield went silent.
Then Kushina burst out laughing.
"Pfft!"
The Konoha shinobi behind her quickly followed.
"Hahaha!"
"Yagami-sama did say the truth! I can't see him either."
"Lord Yagami is right! The Tsuchikage should come down!"
Even several of the jōnin commanders struggled to keep straight faces.
Ōnoki's face immediately turned red.
A vein bulged against his forehead.
"You insolent brat!"
His voice thundered across the plain.
"It seems your parents never taught you how to respect your elders!"
The smile on Yagami's face remained unchanged.
He slowly raised one hand.
Then he extended his index finger toward Ōnoki.
Han's eyes widened.
He instantly realized what Yagami intended to do.
"Tsuchikage-sama, move!"
But his warning came too late.
Against the speed of the Pika Pika no Mi, even a moment of hesitation was fatal.
A brilliant golden light gathered at the tip of Yagami's finger.
Flash!
A laser shot across the battlefield at the speed of light.
Ōnoki's eyes widened.
Even though he had remained on guard from the beginning, his body was unable to react quickly enough.
The beam pierced straight through his chest.
"Argh!"
Ōnoki gasped as blood burst from his wound.
His concentration broke, and his body wavered unsteadily in the air.
Had Han not shouted a warning, triggering Ōnoki's battle-hardened instincts at the last possible instant, the laser would have pierced directly through his heart.
Even so, he had still suffered a serious injury.
"Cough!"
Ōnoki coughed up a mouthful of blood.
"Tsuchikage-sama!"
The Iwagakure forces immediately fell into chaos.
"The Tsuchikage was hit!"
"Protect Lord Ōnoki!"
"Medical-nin! Hurry!"
In stark contrast, the Konoha army erupted into deafening cheers.
"Lord Yagami struck the Tsuchikage!"
"He couldn't even react!"
"We can win!"
Yagami lowered his hand and looked across the panicking Iwagakure army.
"I have no intention of dragging this out any longer."
Golden light began gathering around his body.
"I'm already sick of this battlefield."
Han immediately uncrossed his arms and stepped forward.
Steam erupted violently from the gaps in his red armor.
"Don't underestimate Iwagakure!"
But before he could complete his charge, Yagami's body transformed into light.
Yata no Kagami.
A beam of golden radiance reflected across the battlefield.
In the next instant, Yagami appeared directly in front of Han.
Han's eyes widened behind his mask.
Too fast!
Yagami's right leg was already glowing with blinding golden light.
"Speed is weight."
His light-covered leg swept through the air.
Boom!
The kick slammed directly into Han's body.
The Five-Tails' jinchūriki was blasted backward like a cannonball, tearing through rows of Iwagakure shinobi before crashing into a distant rocky hill.
The entire hill shattered upon impact.
A massive cloud of dust and debris rose into the sky.
"Han-sama!"
The Iwagakure shinobi stared in horror.
Yagami did not even look toward the place where Han had landed.
His body transformed into light once again before soaring into the sky.
Countless particles of golden radiance gathered around him, illuminating the entire battlefield.
Ōnoki, still clutching the wound in his chest, raised his head.
His expression changed instantly.
"Everyone, scatter!"
Yagami crossed his arms before his chest.
Brilliant points of light appeared around his body, each one containing terrifying destructive power.
His eyes calmly swept over the Iwagakure army below.
"Yasakani no Magatama."
In the next instant, countless golden light projectiles rained down from the sky.
The battlefield disappeared beneath an endless storm of light.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Explosions tore through the rocky plain one after another.
The earth cracked.
Stone walls shattered.
Iwagakure's formations collapsed almost instantly as shinobi desperately scattered in every direction.
Some raised Earth Release barriers.
Others dove into trenches or fled behind boulders.
But under the overwhelming bombardment, their defenses were shattered one after another.
Golden light filled the sky.
Dust and flames swallowed the land.
And with that single attack, the final battle between Konoha and Iwagakure had begun.
However, amid the chaos, Ōnoki suddenly raised both hands.
A transparent cube formed between his palms.
"Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World Technique!"
A brilliant white light erupted from the cube.
The beam tore through the sky with terrifying speed and struck Yagami.
Everything caught within the technique's range was simply erased at the molecular level.
Yagami's body was severed cleanly in half.
The upper and lower halves of his body separated in midair before scattering into glowing fragments.
The Iwagakure forces erupted into cheers seeing that.
"He got him!"
"Tsuchikage-sama killed him!"
"Serves him right!"
"That monster is finally dead!"
Relief swept through Iwagakure's ranks.
The terrifying man who had overwhelmed Han and nearly destroyed their entire formation had finally been defeated.
Even Ōnoki allowed a satisfied smile to appear on his face.
"You let your guard down, brat."
"No matter how fast you are, once my Dust Release touches you, nothing remains."
However, just as Ōnoki finished speaking, a faint laugh echoed through the air.
"Oh?"
The smile on Ōnoki's face froze.
Golden particles of light began gathering where Yagami's body had been destroyed.
Countless specks of radiance flowed together, slowly reforming his legs, torso, arms, and head.
Within seconds, Yagami stood unharmed in the sky.
Even his clothes were intact.
There was not even a scratch on his body.
He looked down at Ōnoki with an amused smile.
"Did I?"
The entire Iwagakure army stopped cheering and a cold chill ran down their spine.
Ōnoki's eyes bulged so far from their sockets that they almost looked ready to fall out.
"What?!"
His jaw dropped.
"How can this be?!"
Yagami casually stretched his shoulders as though nothing had happened.
The power of a Logia-type Devil Fruit.
As long as an attack could not directly affect his true elemental body, destroying his physical form meant nothing.
His body would simply transform into light and reform.
Ōnoki stared at him in disbelief.
"Regeneration?"
He immediately shook his head.
"No… that wasn't regeneration."
His expression became increasingly grave.
"Your body transformed before my Dust Release could erase it."
Ōnoki's eyes narrowed as he recalled a certain technique used by Kirigakure's Hōzuki clan.
"The Hydrification Technique…"
That technique allowed members of the Hōzuki clan to liquefy their bodies, making ordinary physical attacks almost useless.
However, Yagami's ability was far more terrifying.
"So that's the ability you possess…"
Ōnoki muttered, his face darkening.
"A transformation ability similar to the Hōzuki clan's Hydrification Technique."
His fists clenched.
"To think even my Dust Release couldn't kill you…"
Yagami raised one finger, golden light gathering at its tip once again.
"That looked quite intimidating, old geezer."
Ōnoki's expression twitched in annoyance and quietly raised his guard to the highest level.
"But unfortunately for you…"
The golden light became brighter.
"You still can't touch me."
