Chapter 257 - Grave Warning and the Reason

A sense of disbelief still enveloped the King's mind even though Felix had just said with amazement that his father had become young again. To confirm it for himself, King Nalvon slowly stood up from his chair and walked toward the large mirror in the corner of the palace hall.

Upon arriving in front of the mirror, his breath caught. He was incredibly shocked to see the reflection of his face that had become young again. The lines of exhaustion on his face had vanished, and his blue hair looked healthy, exactly like his appearance when he had just gotten married decades ago. His hand began to rise, stroking his own face with a feeling of disbelief as if he were dreaming, then he turned his body and looked at Kazien.

"That blood of yours is truly terrifying!" King Nalvon said in a restrained tone, his brain as a ruler not daring to imagine what disastrous impact would occur if the secret of eternal youth and instant power spread widely across the world. "Do not let this spread widely!"

"Yes, Your Majesty, only we here know about it!" Kazien said in a casual tone. "The ones you should be worried about are your wife and daughter. Please ensure that the two of them do not say unnecessary things to anyone after drinking it."

Kazien's previously casual facial expression turned serious and intimidating.

"If that were to happen, please do not regret what will transpire later." Kazien continued firmly, staring at the king without hesitation. "I do not want my future tasks to be hindered by many people due to carelessness."

Kazien narrowed his eyes. "I would rather destroy those obstacles than let this world be destroyed by that disaster!" Kazien ended his words with a stern warning.

Hearing the uncompromising warning, King Nalvon nodded quickly. "I understand! I will make sure my wife and daughter will not leak it!" King Nalvon replied confidently.

Kazien nodded slowly, then smiled in relief at the King's answer. The tense atmosphere that had filled the hall slowly thawed.

"Since the matter of the blood is settled, it is time we discuss the marriage!" Duke Elgard suddenly chimed in, wanting to immediately address the important point regarding the main topic weighing on his mind. He looked at his youngest son. "Kazien, what is your reason for wanting to marry Erica to Prince Felix?"

"Because I am certain that Felix can make Erica happy." Kazien answered as it was and very rationally. "Besides, after observing them, it seems that the two of them both have feelings for each other."

Duke Elgard furrowed his brow. "Don't you already know that our family has never wanted to be involved with the royal family since this kingdom was formed?"

"You are indeed correct, Father." Kazien answered, accepting the reality and that historical boundary. "But, if the two of them truly like each other, couldn't they both get their families' blessing?"

Kazien looked at the Duke again with a much more serious gaze, as if wanting his father to know about his difficult position.

"Father, if you were to reject it, Erica would surely feel disappointed and would ask me to be her husband. And that is obviously impossible because I only like men, not women."

Kazien sighed softly. "If in the end I were to accept Erica as my wife, it is certain that Ritalia and Hudeon would also want the same from me." Kazien continued explaining the domino effect. "I do love them very much, but only with the love of a brother. Most importantly, I have promised that there will be no one else becoming my fiancé after Arken!"

Hearing that logical explanation, his family began to understand Kazien's position. However, his mother had a different view.

"But, you always tease Prince Felix as if you really want him to be your fourth fiancé." Duchess Larina suddenly interjected.

"I intentionally pressured him so that he would be cornered and dare to make the choice to make Erica his wife." Kazien answered honestly, revealing his tactic. "From the beginning, Felix has never loved me to make me his. Because he only loves me as his brother who is his childhood friend."

The answer they had just heard finally made the whole hall understand the real reason behind Kazien's attitude of constantly teasing Felix, to the point of intending to match Erica with the crown prince of the Garveon Kingdom.

Now attention shifted to the purple-haired girl. "What about you, Erica?" Elisa asked, wanting to confirm her adopted daughter's decision. "Do you like Prince Felix?"

Erica lowered her face which was already blushing red, but the beautiful purple-haired girl merely nodded, confirming her mother's words.

Seeing that, King Nalvon then turned to his crown prince. "What about you, Felix?" King Nalvon asked, confirming his first son's feelings. "Do you also have feelings for Erica?"

"Yes, Father!" Felix answered quickly and without the slightest hesitation. "Since the two-day journey to the Larkvood Kingdom, I have already fallen for her. She is the ideal figure of a wife. If I were to reject her..."

Felix's sentence trailed off. The prince suddenly turned and looked straight at Kazien's face, making the silvery-white-haired youth tilt his head, feeling confused by the meaning of that gaze.

"Why are you looking at me?" Kazien asked in wonder. "Have you changed your mind and want to be my fourth fiancé?"

"How could that possibly happen, you fool!" Felix evaded quickly, his face reddening slightly from panic and annoyance. "Quite the opposite! If I rejected your cousin, it is certain you would always come to me to force me to marry you! That is a terrifying terror for me!"

Kazien smirked faintly. "It is good that you already understand..."

"Why are your words only half-finished like that?" Felix exclaimed, shuddering in horror, his voice sounding a little funny as he imagined the terror his childhood friend meant. "And what do you mean by 'already understand', Kazien?"

"Just forget it." Kazien answered casually, waving his hand slowly. "For now, I am giving my sincere affection to Haverd. And as for our current position, the two of us are at the peak of a mountain near the Guartav territory. Hehehe."
