Chapter 129 - Chapter 129: A Family of Three

In the starry sky, an oval-shaped, medium-sized spaceship rapidly flew into the solar system. Before long, the spaceship arrived in Earth's outer space. The few people on board finally saw Earth—the planet they had yearned for over so many years—through the spaceship's porthole.

The spaceship did not linger but directly entered the atmosphere. Accompanied by the friction of the atmosphere, it soon landed in an uninhabited hilly area. As the spaceship settled, the hatch automatically opened, and an excited figure immediately ran out.

This person was tall and burly, with a handsome face, wearing a battle suit and a scouter. The most striking feature, however, was his long, flowing black hair. This person was none other than Goku's elder brother, Raditz. However, the Raditz before them was completely different from what they remembered. His eyes were gentle, devoid of much coldness or ruthlessness, and instead filled with curiosity and anticipation.

"Is Kakarot on this planet? I wonder what he looks like now?" Breathing Earth's air and feeling Earth's gravity, Raditz was full of anticipation for his younger brother, Kakarot—also known as Goku—whom he was about to meet. As he spoke, Raditz pressed the scouter by his ear and began to detect high-power life forms on Earth.

Beep, beep, beep~

However, as the numbers on the scouter continuously flickered, the curiosity and anticipation on Raditz's face gradually disappeared, replaced by solemnity, and even fear. "Fifty-three thousand Battle Power?!" As the scouter's numbers stabilized, Raditz couldn't help but exclaim.

It turned out that as the scouter's data kept coming in, not only were there several people on Earth with over a thousand Battle Power, and one person with over ten thousand, but the highest one even reached fifty-three thousand Battle Power. How could such powerful people exist on a barren planet at the edge of the galaxy? At this moment, Raditz, having received this data, was filled with disbelief. After all, even though he had experienced many hardships over the years and his power had greatly increased, there was still a significant gap between him and that fifty-three thousand Battle Power.

"Raditz, why are you yelling?" As Raditz exclaimed, the figures who followed him out of the spaceship couldn't help but shout. Hearing the voice from behind, Raditz immediately turned to look.

Following Raditz's gaze, what he saw were two unexpected people. It wasn't Vegeta and Nappa, but Bardock and Gine—Raditz's father and mother—who should have died in the destruction of Planet Vegeta. At this moment, the two were walking out of the spaceship together.

"Is this Earth? I wonder how Kakarot is doing?" Feeling Earth's environment, Gine's concern for Kakarot was evident on her face. After all these years, she had finally arrived on Earth.

When Planet Vegeta was destroyed by Frieza, facing Frieza's planet-destroying bomb, after Bardock died, Gine felt that terrifying power and knew she couldn't survive. Therefore, she had intended to defy Bardock's silent words just before his death—which only she understood, to live—and die with him instead. However, just as Gine was about to be buried under the planet-destroying bomb, she was suddenly knocked away by Aira, who appeared via Instant Transmission.

Immediately after, Gine saw that the planet-destroying bomb, capable of destroying everything, was kicked into space by the person who suddenly appeared, who also seemed to be a Saiyan. She also noticed someone fighting Frieza in space. Seeing such a scene, a strong desire to live instantly surged in Gine's heart. However, realizing that after a strong energy collision erupted in space, Frieza seemed to be fine, and that she could do nothing, Gine's only thought was to survive.

Therefore, she went to find a spaceship and, like other Saiyans, desperately fled into the universe. But compared to other Saiyans, Gine thought more deeply. Knowing that a direct escape would surely be intercepted by Frieza's Army, she immediately took off from the back of the planet. However, shortly after the spaceship took off, Planet Vegeta exploded. Fortunately, the spaceship was fast enough; otherwise, Gine would not have survived the aftershocks of the planet's explosion alone.

Gine thought she had escaped a catastrophe, but then Frieza's Death Beam erupted in space. She watched as her fellow Saiyans, who had taken off from the back of the planet with her and miraculously survived the planet's explosion, turned into fireworks in the universe. She thought she would also become one of them and die. But at that moment, a Great Ape appeared out of thin air in space, in front of Frieza, and raised its hand to swat away the Death Beam that was aimed at her spaceship. It was because of this that Gine, after a series of thrilling events, narrowly escaped death and survived.

In the days that followed, Gine initially wanted to find Raditz and then come to Earth to search for Kakarot, but the spaceship encountered an accident midway. After several twists and turns, she drifted to Planet Cereal and met Monaito.

Initially, there was some unpleasantness between them. However, because Gine was different from most Saiyans—her temperament far gentler—she was able to communicate and interact smoothly with Monaito.

When Monaito learned that Gine was Bardock's wife, his attitude immediately took a sharp turn, and he offered her all the help he could.

Not only that, but by a stroke of luck, Gine found a Dragon Ball. Together with the one in Monaito's possession, the two Dragon Balls were gathered, and she used them to wish for Bardock's resurrection.

After Bardock was revived, they faced a harsh reality. With Frieza's overwhelming power and the Heeters controlling Planet Cereal, neither Gine nor Bardock could afford to remain there for long.

They had wanted to take Monaito and Granolah with them, but Monaito—being a wandering Namekian—was stubborn and refused to leave. As for Granolah, though still a child, he had learned the truth: that he and his mother had survived the destruction of their race because of Bardock. Even so, the Cerealians had ultimately been annihilated by Saiyans, and he could not bring himself to leave with them.

Although Bardock was gentler than most Saiyans, that gentleness was only relative. As a Saiyan, if others were unwilling, he would not force sympathy upon them.

In the end, Bardock and Gine departed Planet Cereal together and ventured into space. Their plan was to gather information, find Raditz, and bring him to Earth to search for Kakarot.

But plans rarely unfold as intended. Before they could locate Raditz, the remaining Saiyans were hunted across the universe by Frieza's army.

After countless twists, turns, and detours, Bardock and Gine finally found Raditz on a remote planet. They intended to take him to Earth and begin the search for Kakarot.

However, Raditz was a member of Vegeta's squad. And how could the arrogant Prince Vegeta possibly agree to Bardock taking Raditz away by force?
