The live broadcast feed shook violently a few times before finally locking onto the terrifying figure emerging from the sea of flames.
"W-what the hell..." the Captain stammered, his Adam's apple bobbing, "Th-th-that... what is that...?"
The camera zoomed in with a violent tremor, gradually bringing the demonic figure in the center of the frame into focus.
Every crimson dragon scale refracted a chilling metallic glint amidst the remaining fires, as if it were armor forged from magma.
In the close-up, the dragon scales opened and closed slightly with each breath, wisps of white smoke seeping from the gaps, and every movement emitted a crisp, clashing sound like metal on metal.
The camera moved upward, where two ferocious dragon horns, like blood-stained scimitars, pierced through the thick smoke. The cyan flames coiling around the tips were still consuming the oxygen in the air, emitting a "hissing" sound like a viper flicking its tongue.
When the camera panned to the thick dragon tail, it happened to whip casually, and the barbed tip, like a red-hot iron whip, snapped a half-melted Marine artillery turret in two.
The blasted-away cannon barrel twisted and deformed in mid-air, and crimson droplets of molten metal scattered like raindrops, carving searing trails across the camera lens.
Most suffocating of all were those golden vertical pupils, flickering in and out of view on the shaky camera. The blood-red glint that flared when the pupils contracted made the millions of viewers watching the broadcast involuntarily hold their breath.
"It's Kaido!!!" the lookout suddenly screamed at the top of his lungs, his voice cracking, "Kaido of the Beasts Pirates!! The worlds strongest creature!!!"
The entire live chatroom instantly exploded:
"?????"
"Am I seeing things? Why is Teacher Kaido here?"
"We're done for, we're done for, this is a real major incident now!"
The photographer's hands were trembling violently, and the camera tossed and turned wildly like a small boat in a storm.
Amidst the fragmented footage, the purgatory-like scene was cut into shocking snippets.
First, it focused on the twisted face of a young Marine soldier. His pupils were dilated to the limit, a dark stain rapidly spreading at his crotch. He was slumped on the melted ground as if his bones had been removed, his fingers digging unconsciously into the vitrified sand.
The camera suddenly whipped to the right, where the charred Vice Admiral Doberman was clawing at the ground with his only remaining good hand. Six famous swords were scattered behind him, and every time he dragged his body, it left sticky bloodstains on the scorching ground. His burnt lips constantly wheezed out breaths mixed with bloody foam.
The footage then jerked toward a few CP0 agents huddled behind some ruins. Their iconic white masks had been discarded aside, revealing their deathly pale faces.
One of them was kneeling on the ground, dry-heaving, yellow-green bile leaking between his fingers.
Another was clutching his hair tightly, eyes bloodshot, lips trembling incessantly while muttering something.
The entire frame was filled with heavy gasps, painful groans, and the sound of dripping liquid. Every so often, the lens was stained blood-red by splashing lava, only to be plunged into the shadows of thick smoke the next second.
"Quick, quick, quick! Pull back the camera!" the Captain suddenly realized, "Don't let that monster notice us!"
But it was too late. Kaido in the frame suddenly turned his head, his vertical pupils locking precisely onto the livestream camera, and his mouth curled into a hair-raising grin.
"Worororo... Make sure you get a clear shot," his voice transmitted across the world via the broadcast, "Let the Gorosei see the fate of the scum they sent!"
