Chapter 401 - Chapter 401: Vermouth's True Desires

On the corridor outside the infirmary, Tooru Amuro finally hurried over and met up with Vermouth.

He immediately asked in a low voice, "How is it? What's the situation now?"

Vermouth replied, "Curacao was taken into that private room by Yuu Hoshimiya for 'treatment.' Her amnesia is quite severe; she's forgotten everything. It doesn't look like it will be recovered easily."

Hearing this, Amuro let out a sigh of relief.

If she still had her memories, Amuro would have had to flee immediately and summon the full force of Public Security to arrest them.

As for why Vermouth was unwilling to come clean to Yuu Hoshimiya—to cooperate with this rising executive of the Organization to take Curacao back—Amuro had his own logic for that.

It was just like his relationship with Shuichi Akai. Even though both were undercover and both were executives, they were fundamentally at odds.

Forget cooperation; they would both love nothing more than to personally eliminate the other.

Moreover, Vermouth had never gotten along with Gin. In Amuro's eyes, it wasn't strange at all that Vermouth wouldn't get along with Yuu, who was Gin's protégé.

"You're disguised as Azusa Enomoto. Yuu didn't notice anything unusual, did he?" Amuro asked again.

Very few people knew that Yuu Hoshimiya had joined the "Red Side."

Just like the spies various intelligence agencies sent into the "Black Organization," his status was only recorded in the most elite files or high-level databases like the one Curacao had infiltrated.

There were many Red moles in the Organization, and just as many Black moles in the Red camp.

The fewer people who knew the truth, the safer the undercover agents were.

Upon hearing this question, Vermouth's face darkened, and she cursed him a thousand times in her mind.

I've endured such humiliation, let that big wolf take every liberty with my body, and even just finished sucking his thick cock to completion... How could I possibly be discovered?!

She rolled her eyes. "Aren't you familiar with my disguise skills by now?"

"I'll draw his attention and pin him down in a bit. You find a way to take Curacao away alone, and I'll make my own escape."

This plan was exactly what Amuro wanted. If he could take Curacao, he would bring her straight back to Public Security headquarters.

Afterward, he could fake an injury, staging a "bitter struggle" to explain her loss, and even shift the blame onto the FBI's Shuichi Akai.

Amuro finalized his plan, intending to text his subordinates to coordinate.

Then, he continued to probe Vermouth for details.

"How exactly do you plan to 'pin down' Yuu Hoshimiya?"

Pin him down? How else?! I have to swallow my pride and use my body as a honey trap again! Little brother, you're going to talk this conversation to death.

Vermouth shot Amuro a lethal glare. "Don't worry about that. Just play it by ear when the time comes."

Inside the treatment room, Yuu Hoshimiya was in an excellent mood as he looked at Curacao.

Her small face and elegant neck were flushed a deep crimson, and her eyes were misted with the afterglow of pleasure.

"Shiro-chan, you're quite incredible!"

Hearing the praise, Curacao broke into a smile, her eyes crinkling into crescents, her expression filled with a touch of bashful pride.

"One, two, three, four times. A total of four rounds of 'Deep Radiation Therapy.' Look at you, you're completely soaked. Now that the 'toxins' in your body have been pumped out, do you feel much lighter?"

"Mmm!" Her voice was soft and wobbly. "My body feels so light... like I'm about to float away."

Yuu tapped her nose with his finger. "Alright, your treatment is over. It's time to go out."

Curacao's face immediately fell, looking unhappy and clearly reluctant to leave the room.

Yuu turned toward the window. Curacao's suit and shirt were no longer wearable; Yukiko had just delivered a fresh dress to the windowsill.

He helped Curacao change into the white sundress.

Once dressed, Curacao looked like a Nordic maiden. Combined with her innocent sky-blue eyes, her entire aura shifted, radiating pure, youthful charm.

However, her legs were so weak she could barely stand; she had to lean on Yuu for support.

The moment she stood up, she lunged back toward her old clothes to grab the white dolphin charm. Only after clutching it tightly in her palm did she feel secure enough to leave with Yuu.

The treatment room door opened. Amuro and Vermouth, waiting in the hallway, were stunned. They almost didn't recognize her as Curacao.

Yuu spotted Amuro immediately.

"Amuro? What are you doing here? I thought you said you were going home for a funeral?"

"Haha, I just got back to Tokyo. Azusa mentioned the shop was closed and she was at the aquarium. I had nothing else to do, so I came by. And this lady is...?"

The moment she saw Amuro, Curacao's entire body tensed. Her subconscious drove her into an immediate offensive.

Her silver-white figure blurred as she lunged forward with agile grace, throwing a powerful punch aimed straight at Amuro's head.

Amuro reflexively raised his arms to block, but the force of the strike sent him sliding back three or four meters.

Yuu was genuinely impressed. Curacao had just endured several rounds of "heavy discharge" and could barely walk when they stepped out.

Yet she could still unleash such devastating combat power. Truly remarkable.

Of course, he had to stop her to keep the act going.

He rushed forward and caught Curacao by her slender waist from behind. "Shiro-chan! Stop! Why are you attacking people?"

Vermouth expected Yuu to be hit with a sharp elbow strike from Curacao.

Instead, the moment Yuu touched her, Curacao went completely limp in his arms, her face flushing an even deeper shade of red.

Vermouth felt a sudden, sharp pang of jealousy in her heart.

Just then, Yukiko, Ran, and the others heard the commotion and came rushing out.

"What happened?"

Yuu asked as well, "Shiro-chan, what's wrong? Why did you hit him?"

Curacao frowned, hesitating before she spoke.

"He... enemy?"

Ran quickly interjected, "How could Mr. Amuro be an enemy? He's the waiter at the cafe downstairs from us! He works with Azusa-san. Shiro-chan, are you sure you didn't mistake him for someone else?"

Conan couldn't resist asking, "Big Sister Shiro, did you remember something?"

A look of reminiscence crossed Curacao's face, but in the end, she shook her head dejectedly.

She stepped back, clinging to Yuu's arm and hiding behind him, still glaring warily at Amuro.

Genta chimed in, "It must be because Amuro-niisan looks too scary. He frightened Big Sister Shiro!"

Mitsuhiko nodded in agreement.

"Yeah! Big Sister Shiro is such a good person—she got hurt saving Genta! And she's so pretty. Maybe Mr. Amuro wanted to do something bad to her!"

Hearing these brats spout nonsense, cold sweat poured down Amuro's neck. He waved his hands frantically. "No way! I just saw your 'Big Sister Shiro' for the first time. How could I do anything bad?"

Yuu decided he had played the scene enough and stepped in to smooth things over. "It seems like a misunderstanding. Amuro, don't take it to heart."

Amuro gave a strained smile. "Of course not!"

Yuu took Curacao's hand and looked back at everyone.

"Alright, it's almost noon. Lunch is on me! Then we'll explore the aquarium more this afternoon, okay?"

At the mention of food, the kids cheered.

Genta began his usual chant:

"Eel rice!"

"Eel rice!"

Ayumi hurried forward, taking Curacao's hand from Yuu and leading her toward the exit.

A smile finally touched Curacao's lips as she was surrounded by the children, her wariness toward Amuro fading into the background.

Yuu's group followed behind.

Ran leaned in close, holding Yuu's arm affectionately. Yuu took the chance to whisper instructions into her ear.

Hearing his words, Ran's eyes widened in surprise. She started to turn her head, but Yuu gave her hand a sharp squeeze. She caught herself immediately, maintaining her composure without showing a flaw.

After lunch, the group returned to the Touto Aquarium.

Ai held Curacao's hand and asked, "Big Sister Shiro, if you never recover your memory or find out where you came from, what do you plan to do?"

Curacao looked genuinely distressed at the thought.

Because Curacao had risked her life to save Genta, and Yuu had dropped some hints to Ai, the little girl no longer harbored any hostility toward her.

"Why don't you stay at Brother Yuu's house for now? He can keep 'treating' you, and you can decide what to do after your memory returns."

At the mention of "treatment," Curacao recalled the intoxicating, blissful sensations from earlier. Her face turned beet-red, but she smiled and gave a small, obedient nod.

Conan, however, began to protest loudly.

"That won't do! Big Sister Shiro's family might be looking for her. We can't just keep her at home. We should seek help from the police to find her family."

The word "police" sent a flash of panic across Curacao's face.

Yuu immediately delivered a "chestnut" punch to Conan's forehead.

"Brat, did anyone ask for your opinion?"

"I've noticed you're becoming increasingly selfish. What's the harm in letting Shiro-chan stay with us for a while?"

The other kids joined Yuu in condemning Conan.

Genta said, "Conan, if you keep being mean to my savior, I'm kicking you out of the Junior Detective League!"

Mitsuhiko added, "Conan, you're too stingy! Big Sister Shiro is so nice, how can you have the heart to hand her over to the police?"

Ayumi couldn't help but add, "And she's so pretty! I want to be able to see her again!"

Curacao smiled gently and ruffled Ayumi's hair.

Conan, under fire from everyone, could only retreat with his head in his hands.

Beside them, Amuro wiped sweat from his brow. It was a good thing he hadn't mentioned he had "friends in the police" who could handle this, or he might have shared the brat's fate.

As they spoke, they entered the main aquarium area, where massive glass tanks held countless species of fish.

The moment they walked in, they saw hundreds of red coral fish opening their mouths and blowing bubbles.

The children cheered and ran toward the tanks.

Yukiko followed them to keep a watchful eye, explaining the various exotic and beautiful fish to them.

Curacao didn't join them, staying right at Yuu's side.

Ever since leaving the treatment room, she had become incredibly clingy. She had even insisted on sitting right next to him during lunch.

Yuu offered his arm, and Curacao obediently linked hers through it, a radiant smile appearing on her face without her even realizing it.

Meanwhile, Ran—following Yuu's instructions—kept a secret, vigilant eye on Amuro behind them.

Yuu had whispered to her that "Shiro-chan" might be in danger.

He told her that if he wasn't by her side, she was to protect Curacao personally, specifically watching out for the sudden appearance of Amuro.

Although Yuu hadn't explained the full reason, the ever-obedient Ran did exactly as she was told.

Ran held "Azusa's" (Vermouth's) arm, observing Amuro from close range without showing a hint of abnormality.

She even struck up a conversation from time to time.

"Azusa-san, I heard this aquarium has a polar zone with polar bears and penguins. Let's go take a look."

The Touto Aquarium was a massive investment, covering a vast area with incredible biodiversity.

Soon, the kids and Yukiko had vanished into the crowds.

However, since there was only one entrance and one exit, there was no fear of them getting lost.

Yuu glanced at the shadows behind them. Shuichi Akai was trailing them too.

The crowd is getting bigger. This is getting interesting.

He and Curacao walked in front. Seeing them so intimate, Amuro felt a massive headache coming on.

He turned to see if Vermouth had any ideas, but he only saw her glaring at the pair in front with a look of pure, unadulterated jealousy. Amuro was left confused.

Sensing Bourbon's gaze, Vermouth quickly shifted her expression, pretending nothing was wrong.

Soon, Yuu's group reached the large performance pool. The stands were packed with tourists waiting for the dolphin show.

A staff member in a wetsuit stood by the water's edge, asking through a megaphone: "Who among our audience would like to interact with our 'Big White'?"

Yuu saw the curiosity on Curacao's face and led her down the steps to the water.

At the sound of the trainer's whistle, a massive, five-meter-long creature breached the surface.

It was a Beluga whale—snow-white with a rounded head and dark, intelligent eyes!

Upon seeing Yuu, it began flapping its fins, looking as if it were begging for a treat.

The trainer spoke up: "You can lean your faces in, and Big White will give you a kiss! But in exchange, you have to give him a fish, or he won't be happy."

Curacao leaned her head in curiously.

Sure enough, the Beluga's plump head moved closer and planted a wet kiss on Curacao's cheek.

Curacao hugged Yuu's arm and began jumping in place like a little girl, her bell-like laughter echoing through the air.

Vermouth's face twisted with jealousy again, her breathing becoming heavy.

That little bitch... so young yet so skilled at seduction!

Yuu asked the trainer, "Big White is so broad. Can he carry people for a swim around the pool?"

The trainer replied, "Whales and dolphins are very smart. They can be trained to do it, but it's impossible for ordinary people. Only the trainers who spend every day with them can manage it."

"Riding the whale is an advanced performance skill. Only two or three of our trainers can do it. Big White hasn't been trained for... Hey! You guests! What are you doing? Get down from there!"

Taking advantage of the trainer's momentary distraction, Yuu pulled Curacao onto Big White's back.

Compared to building favorability with a beauty, being scolded a few times was nothing.

The moment the two were on, the Beluga accelerated, taking them for a joyful lap around the pool.

Under the influence of Yuu's magic, the whale kept its back above the surface; neither Yuu nor Curacao even got their shoes wet.

Feeling the rushing speed, Curacao's eyes were wide with excitement, a brilliant smile on her face.

She wasn't afraid at all, knowing Yuu's broad chest was right behind her.

The guests in the stands thought it was part of the show and burst into cheers and applause.

Yuu unleashed his magic once more.

The dolphins at the bottom of the pool acted as if they'd heard a royal command, swimming up to form a neat escort around the Beluga like soldiers guarding a king.

The formation was impeccable and incredibly majestic.

Then, the dolphins began leaping from the water in graceful arcs, creating splashes of spray as the crowd reached a fever pitch of excitement.

Watching the scene on the water, Vermouth's eyes went wide. Her hand clutched Ran's arm with enough force to make it ache.

Damn it! Why can't that person up there be me!
