After Dalton left and Noel called out to him, Alastair finally emerged from his hiding spot on Noel's balcony. He stepped back into the room and closed the door behind him, seeing the Omega who had begun to sit up on his bed.
"Do you know the risks of what you're doing if Dalton sees you're still here? He really did have a gun in his hand. You could have died right here in this room."
"I'm aware of that. It's just that I can't just leave you like this, at a time like this. I know you need me, even if in the end you'll hate me after everything I've done." Alastair replied as he walked closer to him and stood right next to the bed.
His large hand reached out to touch Noel's head, though he hesitated, unsure if the man would push his hand away. However, as he smoothed the Omega's brown hair, Noel offered no resistance, he simply stared at him in silence. It was as if that gaze was a form of rejection, yet he didn't forcefully push the hand away from him either.
