Chapter 114 - Ch. 114 - Henry’s birthday! (1)

"Well, you look like you're having fun." When Henry turned around, he found Master Elias staring at him playing with Aqua in the pool. The old man looked the same as ever purple cloak, wooden staff in hand, and a pointy hat that screams 'I'm a wizard!' out loud.

"Do you know about our visitors just now?" Henry dodged one of Aqua's tentacles that had just attempted to snare him around his waist before asking.

Master Elias nodded his head, "I am fully aware. As a matter of fact, I even had a short conversation with King Triton when they first got here."

"What did he say?" he asked.

The old wizard shrugged his shoulders, "It concerns their local witch, Ursula. She has managed to escape Atlantis's pursuit. And now her location is unknown. He wants to ask me if I can do something to help."

Henry blinked his eyes in surprise, once again dodging another one of Aqua's tentacles. He heard her grumble at the failed attempt.

"You? A minor god of the sea asked you for help?"

Master Elias waved his hand in dismissal, "You don't get it yet. Suppose King Triton couldn't find Ursula in the sea, what do you think is the only reason why?"

Henry then said in realization, "She's on the surface, not under the ocean." He looked up to his master and continued with a suspicious tone of voice, "You're not gonna send me on another one of your mysterious missions, are you? Tomorrow's my birthday and knowing Mom, she'll probably extend the party up to a whole week."

"Do I really look like someone who would do that? This time, it's my turn to go out and do this one myself. I have a hunch about how Ursula managed to escape. A certain group definitely helped her."

Henry plunged under the pool just in time as he dodged one of the tentacles before emerging in a different spot seconds later, "…Group? What group?"

This time, Master Elias shook his head, "It's not the time yet for you to learn about them. Just know they exist and they played a huge part in the grim future that I've been seeing."

Henry frowned at that. If this group is so important, then why the hell is he not supposed to know about them right now?

"Anyways, I'll leave tomorrow. As for you, I guess it's time for you to finally take your well-deserved rest and start focusing on the matters of your Kingdom." Before Henry could react, the old master disappeared in a flash of light.

While at the same time, Aqua's tentacles finally got him and tugged his body underwater.

"Hehehe! Aqua finally got Papa!"

———

Thank the heavens it was daylight so Henry managed to outlast Aqua's monstrous stamina. He walked his way back to his room, with not an ounce of water visible on his body or shirt. He was surprised at first when he got back to the surface as dry.

He already sensed Ariel's presence in his room. He doesn't mind the intrusion. It's not like he has anything to hide in there.

"Henry!" As expected, Ariel instantly jumped at him as soon as he stepped inside the room. He managed to catch her of course, circling his arms around his waist before gently placing her on the bed.

"What're you doing in my room?" he asked. He went to his desk and dropped the three books about enchantment on the table. He's already finished with the first book and he's going to attempt his first enchantment today.

Of course, he's not going to use Sunshine on the get-go. His first attempt would be on something easier and more practical. Like a bullpen, one of his inventions.

Hardening, Sharpness, or if he's capable enough, he might make the pen able to produce ink of its own. But that's far from the basics, so it would be impossible for Henry to achieve that today.

'Hardening it is then' Henry decided as he grabbed one of his ballpens. He felt Ariel peek over his shoulder, curious about what he was doing.

"What're you doing? What is that?" Facing this question, Henry tapped the pen on the nearby books.

"I'm going to enchant them. Also, you haven't answered my question yet. What're you doing in my room? Do you need something?"

He noticed Ariel blush a little, which confused him. Is there something wrong with his question or is there really an intention behind why Ariel was in his room?

'Could this be…what I think it is?' With suspicion in his mind, he beelined into his closet, amidst Ariel's curious gaze.

Creak!

When he opened the closet, he sighed in relief. There's nothing that seems to be missing from his clothes. He also checked his pairs of underwear before nodding his head in confirmation.

He turned and asked again, "So? Is there anything you need from me?"

There she goes again. Ariel blushed while facing his question.

"Actually, I do. I learned about this from my sisters last week. Can we…kiss?"

"Pfft!" Whatever was inside Henry's mouth, whether it was his saliva or anything else he didn't know about. He spat then on the side.

When he recovered, he rubbed the bridge of his nose and asked, "You want to what?"

"Kiss. I want to kiss you." Ariel straightened her back and repeated, erasing whatever Henry was hoping for that he had just heard her wrong.

"Why…of all the things you could learn from them, it had to be about kissing." he sighed.

Ariel's face turned slightly dim, "Is there anything wrong? I-If you don't want to kiss me, I understand." Even though she just said that, the disappointment on her face is so obvious that Henry can't tell if she's doing it on purpose just to guilt-trip him.

"Look, Ariel. It's not that I don't want to but I can't. You know about Elsa, right? I talked to you about her. I'm fine with accepting your love for me but I don't want to betray her behind her back. I want her to know everything about you first before we do anything else." Henry carefully explained.

There's no way he's going to cheat on Elsa without her knowing. That's why he avoided anything intimate with Ariel and Rapunzel, no kisses or anything beyond that. Just simple hugs and words of appreciation.

If ever he wants to cross that boundary between them. Henry swore to himself that Elsa must know about it and if she decided against it. Whether he likes it or not, he might be forced to strain his relationship with Ariel and Rapunzel, even if it means risking angering the gods.

Ariel pouted, "Fine. But when are you going to tell her about us?"

"Tomorrow. She's arriving tomorrow for my birthday. Rapunzel would also be there."

Ariel tilted her head, "Rapunzel? Who's Rapunzel?"

Henry rubbed the back of his neck, "…It's a long story. You might want to take a seat."

———

"Unable to sleep?" Elsa gasped in surprise. When she turned around, it was just her sister Anna checking up on her as usual.

"Anna. You need to stop sneaking up on me like that. One day I might really lose control and freeze you." Facing Elsa's 'threat' Anna simply rolled her eyes.

"I don't think someone who could build that," She pointed at the Disneyland park in the distance, despite being nighttime, the lights on the ice-made entertainment park made it shine the brightest throughout the entire Kingdom, "Lose control."

Elsa scoffed. Anna is right, Elsa wouldn't casually lose control over her powers. Even now, she's still following the same routine that Henry taught her. Breathing exercises, ice training, and everything.

"Is everything ready for tomorrow morning?" Elsa asked. She's been fidgeting about tomorrow since yesterday. She's feeling excited to see Henry again.

Even though only a month had passed since she last saw him, she felt like it had been years instead.

"You already asked the same question for like what, the ninth time this day? Yes, Kai has already prepared everything. Don't fret. It's not like Henry would disappear tomorrow all of a sudden. You're going to see him again soon, don't worry."

This time it was Elsa's turn to roll her eyes at her sister, "Easy for you to say when you have Kristoff beside you every time you sleep."

Anna's face instantly turned red like a tomato, "I-It's not like that! We're just sleeping together, we're not doing anything lewd!"

Elsa squinted her eyes and pointed out, "But I didn't say anything about doing anything lewd, though?"

Anna's face froze and Elsa instantly knew that something was wrong.

"Anna…" She growled, approaching Anna slowly as the tone of her voice took a dangerous turn.

But before she could press Anna on the matter, she instantly turned and bolted out of the room, "Goodnight sis, love you bye!"

Thud!

Followed by the loud closing of the door and heavy footsteps putting as much distance as possible from her room, Elsa sighed in defeat. She didn't bother to give chase to her. It's already nighttime, and doing so would only disturb the sleeping servants.

She faced the window again, staring at the distant Disneyland. Even at night, there were many Arendellians who were having fun at the entertainment park. Thanks to her ice magic. All of the rides in Disneyland are alive and can function on their own.

These past few days have been eventful. As the future queen of Arendelle, she has been taking care of some paperwork. Among the paperwork were documents about the previous trade alliances with a few small Kingdoms.

There were also some marriage proposals that she instantly froze and broke into tiny ice shards. She already has her Prince Charming, both metaphorically and literally.

As for the proposals for Anna. She gave them to her not to consider them but simply to make fun of Anna and watch Kristoff panic.

Speaking of Kristoff. Two days ago, he told her about Sven's loneliness. It seems like the local reindeer of Arendelle are not willing to make friends with the poor animal.

So she came up with an idea. When she and Anna were kids, they would always make a snowman.

So that's what she did. She created a snowman like the ones in her childhood memories. But not just any snowman. This particular one is alive and speaking.

She named him Olaf. And this new friend of Sven is quite interested in attending the birthday celebration tomorrow.

———

"Seven a.m., waking up in the morning~

Gotta be fresh, gotta go downstairs

Gotta have my bowl, gotta have cereal."

The next day arrived and the instant Henry woke up. His mind wandered off to a certain song from his previous life. If he's gonna be honest, it's not a bad song for a child, so he's always been curious why people hated it to the point of sending death threats to a literal 13-year-old girl.

It's fine to hate on something but it would be much better to keep that hate speech to yourself instead of spreading it around like a disease.

"I must be in a good mood today. I wonder why…" Henry asked rhetorically under his breath as he brushed his teeth. Although he doesn't need to brush his teeth just to maintain their cleanliness and whiteness anymore thanks to a certain blessing, Henry still does it for the love of the game.

Today is his birthday, so of course he's in a good mood. But that's not all. Yesterday, when Ariel finally left his room after getting a good amount of information about his adventures with Rapunzel, he spent most of the day tinkering with Enchantment magic.

And the result surprised him. Beginner enchanters take years to successfully enchant an item, and while he only took a week max to achieve the same, he also did it on his first try!

"Sometimes. I have this feeling that my heavenly talent is getting stronger every day…" Henry murmured curiously. And he's not lying. There is clearly an improvement in his talent. Did his talent also extend to itself?

Basically making him talented at being talented?
