All the viewers were looking forward to an ultimate showdown between Liuli and Nether.
But in fact, as long as they didn't encounter each other in the first PK, both sides would basically be able to sit securely in their respective arenas afterward, which meant they wouldn't encounter each other.
The second major match was still fierce.
But aside from Ning Xi and Qin Ming.
All the other trial participants had become supporting characters.
The focus of the several million viewers across the entire venue was concentrated entirely on Ning Xi and Qin Ming.
Among them, Ning Xi's livestream had 1.326 million viewers online in real time.
Nether's livestream had 1.187 million viewers online in real time.
The former had mostly male fans.
The latter had mostly female fans.
Ling Xiao (high EQ): "They're evenly matched!"
Wang Junjie (low EQ): "Fuck! A bunch of perverts!"
Overall, Ning Xi and Qin Ming continued slaughtering their opponents.
Moreover, as the points system for the second major match changed from +10 points for each victory in the first major match to +20 points for each victory.
The gap between the scores of the two and those of the other trial participants grew larger and larger.
In fact, they weren't the only two capable of dominating an arena.
Ling Xiao, Super God Athena, and Dark Sword God · Black Night could also occupy an arena and remain there without falling.
It was just that their point-farming speed was nowhere near as fast as Ning Xi and Qin Ming's.
In another arena...
Slash!
As Super God Athena brought her blade down.
With the S-rank talent Declare War, combined with the S-rank skill Blood Blade and S-rank Flame Enhancement, an S-rank One Slash instantly killed her opponent without any suspense.
Super God Athena, who had continued winning, saw through the real-time points ranking that Ning Xi and Qin Ming were evenly matched.
A trace of coldness appeared in her blue eyes.
"This piece of trash Nether! Forget about being unable to deal with Rulebound, he can't even deal with a mere Liuli!"
"If this continues, Liuli will very likely get the only selection slot in this God-Creation Trial!"
"No! I have to think of a way to change the current situation and restrain Liuli!"
"It's just a pity that she and I each occupy an arena, so there's no chance for us to get matched. Otherwise, if I got matched against Liuli, even she wouldn't be able to withstand my One Slash!"
Gently stroking the sharp blade in her hand.
Super God Athena suddenly had a flash of inspiration.
"Got it!"
She began the next PK.
Whoosh!
White light descended.
This time, the opponent was a male Soul Archer: Soul Heavenly Emperor.
When Soul Heavenly Emperor saw that his opponent was the consecutive-win king, ranked sixth on the points leaderboard and fifth on Inferno City's Heavenly Ranking, Super God Athena, he instantly despaired.
"Nether in the first match!"
"Liuli in the second match!"
"And now you give me fifth on the Heavenly Ranking in the third match!"
"What kind of luck is this!"
Soul Heavenly Emperor wanted to cry but had no tears. He had already decided to just give up.
But as the PK began, he saw that Super God Athena stood motionless on the opposite side and instead beckoned him with her finger.
"What does that mean?"
"Provoking me?"
"Fuck! A scholar can be killed but not humiliated!"
"An uncle can endure it, but an aunt can't! Fuck, I'm going all out against you!"
With that, Soul Heavenly Emperor drew his bow and fired.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Super God Athena made no attempt to move.
She took Soul Heavenly Emperor's entire skill combo head-on.
The HP bar above her head was instantly emptied.
At the same time, a system notification appeared in front of Soul Heavenly Emperor.
[Ding~ Player Soul Heavenly Emperor, congratulations, you have defeated your opponent Super God Athena. Points +20!]
Soul Heavenly Emperor's eyes widened, filled with disbelief.
It wasn't until Super God Athena turned into a beam of white light and disappeared that he dared to believe it: "I… actually defeated Inferno City's fifth-ranked player on the Heavenly Ranking?"
"Fuck! I'm actually this badass!"
"Hahahaha!"
At the same time, on the other side, super God Athena, who had been teleported outside the arena, began the next round of PK with a trace of anticipation.
[Ding~ Your opponent for this match has been matched: Tornado!]
Seeing her opponent's identity, a trace of disappointment immediately appeared in Super God Athena's eyes.
She closed both eyes and gave up defending.
[Ding~ Unfortunately, you have been defeated by your opponent · Tornado…]
With each successive matchmaking.
No matter who the opponent was.
Super God Athena gave them all free points.
Her livestream's popularity had already been low, with only a few hundred people watching online.
After Super God Athena's series of baffling moves, the number of viewers in the livestream plummeted by half.
The remaining viewers were also a sea of curses.
"What the hell is this big sis doing? Is she nuts? Giving away points by giving up?"
"Fuck, I hate running into quitters like this when I play games! May all quitters die with their whole families!"
There were also a few people who understood.
"Something's wrong! She's not giving away points. She should be farming opponents!"
"The arena champions who dominate the arenas each occupy one arena, so they can never get matched against each other! Only by losing can they have a chance to get matched against the other arena champions!"
"This Super God Athena is farming the other arena champions!"
"Fuck! Looks like I was looking down on her. I thought she was giving up, but it turns out she just disdains these low-level matches. She's aiming for higher challenges and giving us a more exciting PK viewing experience!"
"Then who's her target?"
"There are only a few arena champions capable of continuously dominating their arenas. Whoever her target is, once they meet, it'll definitely be very exciting!"
"Fuck! Now that you put it that way, I'm actually starting to look forward to it!"
And so, Super God Athena's baffling move instead caused the number of viewers in her livestream to keep increasing.
From the initial one or two hundred people, in the blink of an eye, it had already risen to 100,000+.
The spectators outside passed the word from one to ten, then from ten to a hundred.
Everyone searched for and flooded into Super God Athena's livestream.
Without exception, everyone had come to watch her challenge the top players.
"After watching Liuli, Nether, and the others stomp noobs so much, it feels kind of boring. I still want to watch something exciting!"
"Yeah! I've been watching this Super God Athena all along. Her strength is also really strong. She basically One-Slashes whoever she encounters! I'm looking forward to seeing her run into the other top players!"
Just as the livestream chat was bustling with excitement, Super God Athena continuously farmed dozens of PKs, going through dozens of opponents.
Finally...
[Ding~ Player Super God Athena, your opponent this round is: Liuli!]
Hearing this system notification, Super God Athena's fighting spirit instantly ignited.
Looking at Ning Xi across the arena, Super God Athena gently stroked the battle blade in her hand, a sharpness mixed with contempt in her blue eyes.
"I finally farmed my way to you, Liuli!"
Before Ning Xi could say anything.
The viewers in Ning Xi's livestream couldn't help speaking.
"This Super God Athena went through dozens of matches just to farm her way to my goddess Liuli?"
"She can't get first place anyway, so she might as well farm. She's on the same side as Nether, so she's definitely here to help Nether restrain Liuli!"
At this moment, a loyal fan also reminded Ning Xi, "Big Sister Liuli, be careful! This Super God Athena is extremely powerful!"
As the number-one player on the Heavenly Ranking.
Ning Xi didn't put on any airs.
She took the fans' reminder in the livestream seriously, "Okay, thank you for the reminder. I'll be careful."
That casual response, instantly won Ning Xi countless more fans.
In contrast, Super God Athena, who was facing her.
She was arrogant and proud.
She didn't take her opponent seriously at all.
"Rulebound has that pig to share 90% of the damage, which is why he can be one of the few people who can survive my One Slash."
"Let me see how you'll take this slash!"
Facing the more than one hundred thousand viewers in the livestream.
Super God Athena said confidently, "Everyone, don't forget to turn on the screen recording."
"Record my glorious moment of instantly killing the number-one player on the Heavenly Ranking!"
