Chapter 336: Danger! The Skyscraper Is Collapsing!

"Hmm... Big Black, once they finish their 'bath,' lock them back in the containers. We need to find them some decent hosts." Silas Parker turned and vanished from the laboratory.

Since Little Black was currently busy with several major tasks, Silas decided to leave the rest to Big Black. After all, the process wasn't that complicated.

"Rest assured! Leave it to me, Master!" Big Black happily accepted the mission. After so many days, he finally had a task from his master again.

At that moment, the three remaining symbiotes leaped out of the potion, only to find Big Black staring at them with an unfriendly grin.

Outside in the City

"Damn it! Where did that idiot Mandarin go?!" Harry Osborn tried to contact the Mandarin, but there was no response. The ambush point they had agreed upon was completely deserted.

"Did he play me?" Harry's face darkened. The key to destroying Spider-Man today was the Mandarin's involvement. Now that the man was missing, his plan had effectively crumbled.

"Goblin! Stop this pointless resistance! You're going to prison today," Peter shouted, still hot on his trail.

Harry steered his glider, clutching the hostage tightly. He knew he wouldn't be able to kill Spider-Man today, but he wasn't going down without a fight.

"I won't accept this..." Harry hissed. Since he had a hostage, he decided to make use of her. "Vulture! Execute Plan B. I'm leading Spider-Man to your location now."

The glider's thrusters erupted with crimson flames as Harry banked hard toward the west. Peter followed immediately, his movements sharp and fast.

"Peter, the drone on Vulture is transmitting a signal. He is directly ahead," Gaia alerted him, pulling up a positioning map.

"Again?" Peter frowned. Silas had just dealt with the Mandarin, and now Vulture was in the mix. He had already asked Silas for help once today...

"I should be able to handle this myself," Peter decided. He didn't want to keep bothering Silas. He had fought Vulture and the Goblin before; he just needed to be careful.

Parker Street — No. 24

Without warning, Harry launched a pumpkin bomb toward a nearby skyscraper.

"No!" Peter screamed, but he was too late.

BOOM—!!

A massive neon display screen attached to the building shattered and fell, sending clouds of debris and shrapnel flying. Pedants on the busy commercial street below ducked and covered their heads as shrill screams erupted. The crowd fell into a panicked frenzy.

The giant screen began to teeter, groaning under its own weight. The steel cables holding it hissed and snapped, threatening to become a scythe of death at any second.

"You want to be a superhero?! I'll give you the chance!" Harry, driven to total madness, threw another pumpkin bomb.

"Stop!" Peter tried to fire a web to intercept the bomb, but the Goblin suddenly released the hostage.

"Spider-Man!" the female student screamed as she plummeted. From a height of fifty meters, the fall would be fatal.

Peter had no choice. He dived to save the falling girl first.

KABOOM!!!

The second pumpkin bomb detonated inside the building. A scorching firestorm erupted from the windows, accompanied by thick black smoke. The skyscraper was instantly engulfed in flames, looking like a demonic flower blooming on the banks of the underworld.

"Goblin!" Peter set the girl down and turned back to see the hellish scene.

"Spider-Man! This is the price of your heroism! Without you, they wouldn't be hurt! Without you, my father wouldn't be dead!" Harry roared, his face flushed with rage. He blamed Peter for everything, especially the death of Norman Osborn.

Peter's eyes burned with fury, but he immediately began firing webs to rescue civilians trapped by the debris.

"Vulture!" Harry signaled.

"...Are we really doing this?" Hidden in a corner, Adrian Toomes looked at the detonator in his hand. Harry had planted explosives throughout the area beforehand. Leading Spider-Man here to blow him up—this was Plan B.

"We are villains, Toomes. Don't worry... I'll give you the reward you deserve," Harry said, his expression as twisted as his mask.

Toomes said nothing more and pressed the button.

The Collapse

Inside the mall at the base of the tower, Peter's spider-sense blared. Without thinking, he ripped open a portal to the Shadow Kingdom. "Everyone, get in!"

CRACK! BOOM!!!

The supporting pillars of the mall shattered. Reinforced concrete rained down like a meteor shower onto the fleeing crowd.

"Ah!" A woman huddled over her child as the ceiling above them collapsed.

Thud!

Peter dashed forward, catching the massive slab of concrete with his bare arms. "Go! Run!"

"Thank you!" the woman cried, clutching her child as she fled.

But there were too many people and not enough time. Just as Peter felt he might fail to save everyone, countless Shadow Ninjas emerged from the darkness. They scooped up the remaining civilians and pulled them into the Shadow Kingdom, whisking them away from the path of death.

The entire skyscraper was now a mangled wreck, swaying precariously as if it were about to topple.

"Silas!" Peter emerged from the Shadow Kingdom and saw the endless Shadow Corps. He knew his brother had arrived.

Silas Parker stood in the air to the left of the building. Using his telekinesis, he gripped the buckling steel girders and forcibly bent them back into place, stabilizing the structure.

"Damn it! Destiny is here!" Harry's heart sank. Destiny was far more intimidating than Spider-Man, especially after his televised actions with the Avengers. "What do I do now?!"

Silas finished stabilizing the frame and spared a casual glance toward the wavering Harry. He then looked away.

"He... he's ignoring me?" Harry couldn't believe it. Most heroes would be desperate to lock him up, but to Silas, Harry was just a "minor experience pack" for Peter's growth. He wouldn't steal his brother's kill.

"Are you okay!" Silas shouted to Peter.

"I'm fine!" Peter swung out of the building. His right arm was bleeding slightly from a glass shard, but he was mostly intact.

Silas nodded. The two brothers then turned their gaze toward the Green Goblin hovering in the sky.
