Even though he knew there was a very high chance that he couldn't defeat the opponent before him, the dignity of a Legendary Pokémon still compelled him to gather his courage and fight.
He threw back his head and roared.
The sound waves swept outward, the tremendous roar carrying far into the boundless sky.
At this moment, faced with an overwhelmingly powerful opponent he knew he could never defeat, Entei instead managed to bring himself into his absolute best condition.
His roar gradually subsided.
Even the clouds high above were completely scattered.
The sunlight became even more intense.
In an instant, the weather changed to Sunny Day, creating conditions favorable to Fire-type attacks.
The next second, a scarlet pillar of fire erupted from Entei's mouth.
In the blink of an eye, it was already bearing down on Rosemon.
The attack contained an astonishing amount of Fire-type energy.
The terrifying heat wave accompanying it instantly made every spectator feel as though they had been thrown into the middle of a scorching desert.
Entei had truly poured everything he had into this attack.
Faced with Entei's offensive, Rosemon floated quietly in midair.
Her expression remained remarkably calm.
It was almost as though she didn't regard Entei's attack as a threat at all.

She moved.
With a light flick of her hand, the black thorned whip she held snapped through the air.
As the whip twisted, it produced a crisp sonic crack.
The tip of the whip struck the incoming pillar of fire.
With nothing more than that simple counterattack...
The seemingly overwhelming column of flames broke apart as easily as if it had been made from smoke.
Boom!
It burst apart like fireworks.
Countless tiny sparks scattered through the air before fading away completely in midair.
The sight immediately caused the spectators to erupt into applause and cheers.
It was simply too elegant.
Too beautiful.
Sure enough...
Compared with the brutal clashes of life and death on a battle arena, a Pokémon Contest stage seemed far more suited to such a beautiful creature.
Entei had already expected that his attack probably wouldn't work.
However, even he hadn't imagined that Rosemon would destroy it so effortlessly.
The gap between him and Rosemon was even greater than he had anticipated.
After stopping his attack, Rosemon immediately began her counterattack.
She raised one hand.
The thorned whip spun nimbly around her body, drifting through the air like a black ribbon.
With a light flick of her wrist...
Crack!
The whip sliced through the air with a sharp sound.
Then it shot straight toward Entei at tremendous speed.
So fast!
In truth, Entei had already prepared to defend himself the very instant Rosemon began her counterattack.
Even so...
He was still just a fraction too slow.
Only at the very last moment did he barely manage to use Protect.
A green energy barrier surrounded his body and intercepted Rosemon's attack.
Smack!!
A sharp whipping sound rang out.
The entire green energy barrier shattered instantly and disappeared.
Entei immediately sensed danger.
He pushed off with all four legs, preparing to escape.
But before he could even gather enough strength...
The black whip moved like a venomous serpent.
It wrapped tightly around his body.
The coils constricted violently.
A tremendous force surged through them, forcibly pinning him in place.
