Morning sunlight spills gently through the curtains, stretching gold across the sheets and the floor.
Somewhere downstairs, I can once hear faint movement from the kitchen. Cabinets opening. Footsteps. The muted clink of dishes.
Aurelian.
It's quite the same as the last morning. My life has started falling into a routine.
Isn't Aurelian a boss? How does he have the time to constantly be at home making me meals and taking care of me?
I stare at the ceiling for a long moment before sighing.
I think having him around helps more than I admit.
I slept better last night. Not perfectly. But better.
There was no violent overheating, no waking up choking on my own scent, and no feeling like my bones were trying to crawl out of my skin.
I could finally just sleep.
And I know Aurein is the reason why.
Which makes me wonder. If… if for some reason he has to be away, what happens then??
It's starting to seem like I cannot exist outside of him.
