Hazel, sitting in Aiden's lap, suddenly stopped breathing. She turned her head nervously toward the door.
Aiden, however, kept a calm expression. He placed a hand on her slender waist and stroked it gently.
"Don't be nervous. Act a bit more like it," he whispered.
Then, he turned to the door and shouted impatiently, "What is it? Can't you see I'm busy?"
Ratfolk Yasser's voice came back quickly. "So sorry, sir. I just forgot to ask for your name. I've applied for a High VIP status for you as a gift."
"The auction is starting soon. This status will help you save money, but you need to spend a certain amount at the guild from time to time to keep it."
Aiden lightly patted Hazel's back, signaling her to open the door.
When Ratfolk Yasser entered, he immediately sensed that Hazel's state was a bit off.
But when he saw Aiden relaxing on the sofa, his gaze constantly roaming over Hazel's body, a look of deep understanding appeared on his face.
