I feel like I should make clear about the setting in this Yu-Gi-Oh fanfic of mine.
There are some events in Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal that doesn't have confirmed time when it happens so I will make it up to fit my story. Same application to some places appears without exact location.
First, Kazuma Tsukumo went missing after Yuma 2nd birthday.
Second, Dextra and Nistro start their training at 8-year-old alongside Ryuji.
Third, the place of the training camp is within Dr.Faker laboratory which is built below Heartland Theme Park.
Fourth, I will add manga characters and plot into this fanfic. You haven't read the manga yet? Don't worry, me neither.
Finally, the Number monster didn't appear in original Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal anime/manga could appear in my fanfic.

3rd POV:
"So, our base is hidden within this theme park?" Nistro speak speechless as he looking at the amusement park before him.
"Although it might sound ridiculous, but Mr.Heartland told me himself so try not to doubt it." Ryuji say and walk towards the gate of the park, three persons go after him. They're no other than Nistro, Dextra and Riko.
They didn't question further and quietly follow Ryuji lead. Riko find it a bit awkward since she's the oldest among them and still have to follow a boy 4 year younger than her, but she can't bring herself to go against Ryuji order. 'When did I become a love-brain person?'
Deep within her soul, Number 24 was grinning ear to ear. 'Yes, that's it my dear duelist, fall to the darkness and become a lovestruck fool!'
Clearly, Riko strange behavior was all it doing. After experience a beating from Ryuji it starts to fear him and see him as an unbeatable enemy. After fully accept by Riko, it can naturally feel her feeling for him.
So, as a way to make the enemy become ally, it starts to use it power to alter Riko feeling for him from liking to obsessive which can easily be done thank to it connected directly to Riko soul. If not thank to Light of Corruption, Riko would have turn into a yandere by now.
(Number 24: Who dare to call me a mindless monster after this? I'm a best wing-man ever!)
(Summoned Skull: I don't like you, but since what you doing now is benefits for my daughter, I will let you go this time.)
(Demise: Don't copying me!)
(Summoned Skull: Did you want Riko to be your daughter in law or not?)
(Demise: ...Keep copying me.)
Completely unaware of what their spirits were talking about, Ryuji and his group walk towards the Duelist-only entrance. To enter the entrance, the person must have a Duel Disk or a D-Gazer and they can get in completely free. If not, then they go through the normal entrance.
Of course, someone like Mr.Heartland won't do something without any benefits for him. This entrance helps him located powerful duelist and check if their possessed a Number monster or not.
The group quickly go through the entrance and get inside the park. If it's another day, they would have stop and go play around. But they're know this is not the time; Ryuji quickly lead them all towards their destination 'Heartland New Tower'.
While walking there, they have seen many tourist attraction places in the park such as Crystal View Coaster, Horror Tower, Surprise Slide and three other place that's close today House of Dolls, Nature Crooz, Speed Field.
After walking for 15 minutes, the twin towers get in their sight. They look up in aware while Ryuji look interestingly at the top of the tower. Not like you can often see a world destroy weapon in your ordinary life.
When they about to go inside the tower, Ryuji received a message from Mr.Heartland.
Ryuji look around in surprised, then he calms down as he sees the camera in front of the tower gate. He quickly response back.
Under Ryuji guidance, their quickly get inside the blue tower. Without wasting time, their get in the third elevator, Ryuji press the button in order Mr.Heartland has told him.
The elevator shook a little, then instead of going up its start to go down. On top of the elevator door, a strange looking scanner suddenly appears, a red light shoots out from it and sweep through the group. After the light vanished, they hear a mechanic voice rang out in the elevator.
"Identify: Trainee Ryuji, confirm
Identify: Trainee Riko, confirm
Identify: Trainee Dextra, confirm
Identify: Trainee Nistro, confirm
Asking for the permission from the administrator, please wait patiently.

Administrator Heartland has given the permission to enter, please work your hardest today."
After the mechanic voice die down, the elevator door open. As they walk out of the elevator, they immediately notice Mr.Heartland who stand not far away. But the thing catches Ryuji attention the most is the young boy stand next to him.
The boy has a striking, spiky blonde hair with curled dark green bangs and tips, combine with his light blue-gray eyes making him look like a protagonist. He is the second main character of Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal, Kaito Tenjo.
(I will call him Kaito like in Japan version, Kite as a character name sounds stupid. That's also the case for almost every character in Yu-Gi-Oh. After all, Yu-Gi-Oh was create in Japan.
But since most of my readers are more familiar with the English name, I will only change 2–3-character names that I dislike the most.)
As if feeling Ryuji gaze on himself, Kaito look up. Then, he immediately froze on the spot with cold sweat ran down his spine. What he sees is not just an ordinary boy, but a terrifying demon looking at him in disdain.
'This person... He's strong!' This is the first time ever since birth did Kaito find someone with the same age make him feel this much pressure. His body tense up instantly, ready for a battle again the one before him.
Within his eyes, Ryuji can see the image of a dragon with body make of countless star. His fighting spirit begins to burn intensely, just as he about to release his Evolzar power, he and Kaito were cut off by Mr.Heartland.
"It's about time for us to go inside, the Dr.Faker is waiting. Since it's the first time you guys meet each other, you guys can take time introduce yourself with each other on the way there." Mr.Heartland say quickly, hoping to stop the two boys. He absolutely doesn't want the orphan he takes in to have a fight with his boss son on the first day they meet. Well, not really...
The two have no choice but to follow him, Ryuji eager to receive a Number monster for himself, as for Kaito, he wants to meet his brother. Kaito glance at Ryuji one last time. "Kaito Tenjo."
Ryuji response back with a smile on his face. "Ryuji." Since he was an orphan, he didn't have a last name, and he didn't find a reason to have one.
The three persons behind Ryuji also say their name, but Kaito didn't bat an eye to them, at most he pay a little attention to Riko since he also feel spirit presence from her just like Ryuji. Kaito nod a little at Ryuji before turning away and go after Mr.Heartland.
Ryuji group also follow after. None of them react much to Kaito rudeness. After all, 3 out of 4 of them are considered a cold person, the last one spends too much time with them, now he immune to other person coldness.
Riko only talk to the person she found interested, Ryuji is indifferent to almost anything aside from duel, cards and beautiful girls, Dextra has a cold personality from her experience in the past before joining the orphanage.
(Nistro: Sigh... I'm the only normal person here...)
Soon, they have arrived at a huge metal door. Mr.Heartland put his hand on the hand-shape screen next to the door. After a feel moment, the door open, revealing the surprisingly simple room inside.
For the laboratory of the person capable of creating the world-destroy machine, it's quite disappointed, at least in Ryuji opinion. In the 20×15 room, they can only see a few robots working inside with the most noticeable thing in the entire room is the big screen at the opposite wall, which cover 70% of the wall. That's crazy consider the fact that the wall is about 8 meters tall.
On the left side Ryuji see a stair leading upward to a balcony, which most likely the observe area to watch duel occur at the field in the middle of the room. Combine with the artificial light on the ceiling and the cold metal wall without any decorations, Ryuji and his group feel like they've walk into a prison instead of a base.
As for the right side of the room, Ryuji can see another metal door with no clue what behind them. But he can feel a huge amount of duel energy behind the door, likely belong to some duelists.
Mr.Heartland quickly guild them to the duel field and let them stand line up side by side. After waiting for a moment, the screen turns on and the image of a man has pale skin, light purple eyes, and blonde hair styled into prominent spikes and a distinct widow's peak.
Ryuji can see Kaito clenching his fist tightly when seeing the man on the screen. His eyes fill with indescribable emotion.
The man taking a deep look at each person, his eyes linger a bit longer at Ryuji and Kaito before forging a devilish smile.
"Let me first introduced myself, you guys can call me Dr.Faker. I'm the owner of this laboratory, before we begin the training, I want you all to remember clearly; I didn't need your loyalty or your respect.
We all know our relationship is purely mutual benefit, I give you guys resources and you guys work for me, that's all. So, I didn't need any useless person to be my subordinate, if you don't show your worth in the training then you will be discarded without hesitation."
Dr.Faker cold, calculated voice can be clearly hear by everyone present, Ryuji don't give it much thought, he never believes he will fail a simple training. Instead, he elbows Riko who was standing next to him.
He completely ignores Dr.Faker and talk to Riko with a teasing tone. "Hey, did you think we have become the third-rate villain who work for the main antagonist like in those anime?"
Riko don't know why he ask such a thing in this situation, but hearing his relaxing tone make her instinct response back. "Well, if we're not the villain then it's truly wasted the theme of this underground base, isn't it?"
Ryuji response out loud while looking at a certain person. "Yeah, his appearance is truly born to be a bad guy. If someone tell me he has a beautiful child, then I can only say that the mother gene has safe the whole bloodline."
Everyone frozen at what Ryuji was saying, they didn't expect him to badmouth a person, their new boss nonetheless, right in front of him. But then, a burst of laughing make them snap back to reality.
"Hahaha! You're right, if that bastard has children, then the kids really have to feel gratitude for not looking like their ugly father!" The laughing come from Kaito himself, his voice contains no respect or guilty towards his father.
No one expect a silent person like him to suddenly burst out laughing like that except for Ryuji and Mr.Heartland who know about his relationship with Dr.Faker.
As for Dr.Faker himself, he didn't feel anger about Ryuji or Kaito words, like he say, he didn't need their loyalty or respect. But he was surprised when seeing Kaito laughing, it been a long time since he sees his son laughing freely like that.
Dr.Faker pretend he didn't hear what Ryuji and Kaito saying and spoke again. "Before the training begin, I will introduce the core members of our organization to you guys. Come in!"
After Dr.Faker order, the door on the right side of the field open. Behind it 2 man and 1 girl walk in. Just by looking at them, Ryuji can tell the duel energy he feels before came from them. 'Strange, I never seen them in the anime before. Are they manga exclusive?'
Mr.Heartland take on the job to introduce them. "Let me introduce you to Heartland Theme Park guardians of peace and justice. The owner of Nature Crooz, Captain Corn! The owner of Speed Field, Thunder Spark! The owner of House of Dolls, Cologne!"
