After a resolute and firm reply, Aric raised his hand in salute to Felix. Lowering his arm, he kept his gaze fixed on Felix and asked, "Captain, shall I get back to work now?"
Hearing this, Felix nodded at Aric. "Mm."
With this acknowledgment, Aric withdrew his gaze, turned around, and walked out of the office. Watching Aric leave, a trace of worry appeared on Felix's face. He looked down at the content on the screen and let out a soft sigh. "Sigh!"

One week later,
In the Operations Command Room of Lorentz Military Base
Felix, Rogers, and other key personnel of Lorentz Military Base had gathered here.
Rogers and the others lifted their eyes to focus on Felix, while Felix kept his attention on the tactical display map before him. "What is the current movement of the Earth Alliance Forces?" Felix inquired, looking at the map.
Upon hearing this, Rogers manipulated the electronic map, and the relevant information appeared on the screen. "Based on our current reconnaissance, the vanguard dispatched by the Earth Alliance Forces consists of approximately two fleets. These two fleets are advancing in a fan-shaped formation."
Felix nodded slightly, studying the map, and then asked Rogers again, "What is the equipment status of these two fleets?"
"The two fleets are equipped with a total of six Agamemnon-class Large Battleships, twenty-four Nelson-class Battleships, and thirty Drake-class Space Frigates. The total number of vessels in the two fleets is sixty!" As he reported, Rogers' expression suddenly grew more serious, and he continued in a somewhat heavy tone, "The number of MS carried by these two fleets is currently unknown."
"That's a considerable force," Felix remarked gravely, his eyes still fixed on the map. He manipulated the map with his fingers as he assessed the situation. "In the upcoming battle, I will lead the Griffith Team, along with the Smith, Taylor, Miller, Cooper, Hill, and Ford Teams, to engage the Earth Alliance's two vanguard fleets head-on. The Wood, Bieber, and Johnson Teams will attack the Earth Alliance Forces from the left flank; the Rodriguez, Brian, and James Teams will attack from the right flank. Meanwhile, the Bell, Windsor, and four other teams will remain on standby in the rear, ready to support any sudden changes on the battlefield."
As he laid out the plan, Felix looked up at Rogers and spoke with utmost seriousness, "What we need to deal with now is only the vanguard of the Earth Alliance Forces. There are surely other forces following behind this vanguard. In addition, we must also be prepared for the possibility of Earth Alliance Forces appearing from other directions."
At this point, Felix took a deep breath and spoke with even greater gravity, "I'm entrusting this aspect to you. You must stay fully alert and keep track of all developments. Understood?"
Upon hearing this, Rogers' expression turned stern, and he replied in a loud, firm voice, "You can count on me!"
"Mm." Felix nodded in response and lowered his head to continue studying the map.

Two hours later
Six hundred kilometers ahead of Lorentz Military Base
The Athena, commanding multiple Nazca-class high-speed battleships and Laurasia-class space frigates, hovered silently in an arc formation.

The Genesis Gundam, CGUE, GINN, and numerous other MS stood ready in combat formation, awaiting the enemy's arrival.

Felix observed the screen and radar displays, questioning Aric.
"Aric, what's the current situation?"
"All quiet for now. The Earth Alliance Forces haven't entered our detection range yet."
After the inquiry, Aric's report came through the comms.
Hearing this, Felix nodded with a grave expression, his gaze remaining fixed on the screen before him.
Time passed minute by minute. Amid the tense and anxious waiting, Aric's stern voice sounded through the comms.
"Captain, the Earth Alliance Forces have entered detection range!"
Eyes sharpening with intensity, Felix issued a decisive order.
"Engage immediately when they enter firing range!"
Shortly after the command was given, Felix watched as missiles and beams launched from the battleships.
Observing the beams and missiles gradually receding on the screen, Felix ordered through the comms.
"Prepare for combat!"
As the four words left his lips, Felix placed his fingers on the control stick buttons. With the press of a button, the DRAGOON Beam Assault Cannon appeared on the weapon selection dial.
Several minutes later,
Felix pressed another button.
The DRAGOON Beam Assault Cannon detached from the Destiny Support Fighter, its rear thrusters igniting to propel the weapon through the airspace ahead.
Watching the thick beams firing from the distance, Felix manipulated the control stick, maneuvering the Genesis Gundam through the lunar atmosphere.
"Evade now!"
Speaking while pulling the trigger.
The DRAGOON Beam Assault Cannon fired forward.
Beams traversed the airspace ahead, one after another explosions lighting up the forward area.
Following the explosions, Earth Alliance Forces' Strike Daggers and Mobius units broke through the blast waves, appearing on the screen.
Seeing these MS and MA, Felix pressed command buttons on the right console.
The DRAGOON Beam Assault Cannon received instructions, maneuvering through the air while firing at the Strike Daggers and Mobius units.
Several Mobius and Strike Dagger units, failing to evade in time, were pierced through by the beams.
After the DRAGOON Beam Assault Cannon completed its attack run, Felix activated the Multiple Lock-on System.
Targets on the concentrated observation display were locked one by one.
Watching the display, Felix pulled the trigger.
The Genesis Gundam's Whale Plasma Cluster Beam Cannon, Sailfish Railgun, Sirius Beam Rifle, Fortissimo Beam Cannon, and six DRAGOON Beam Assault Cannons fired simultaneously.
Overwhelming firepower blanketed the battlefield.
Instantly inflicting dozens of MS and MA losses upon the Earth Alliance Forces.

The vanguard commander watched the screen display, fists clenched tightly, anger evident on his face as he issued an order.
"Deploy the special forces unit! Have them deal with ZAFT Forces' ace unit!"
"Yes!" The communications officer responded verbally while operating the communicator to issue commands to the hangar.
"All special forces members, deploy!"
"All special forces members, deploy!"
"Received!"
After two calls, the special forces commander's reply came through the comms.
In the ready room
Special forces commander Gusta looked at his subordinates, picked up his helmet floating in the air, and said with a smile.
"Sortie!"
As he spoke, Gusta moved toward the exit.
Seeing their commander's movement, the others followed behind Gusta with excited anticipation.
Shortly after,
Nearly twenty MS units, completely different from Strike Daggers, launched from an Agamemnon-class battleship.
After detaching from the mothership, the numerous MS units formed combat teams of four differently equipped machines and continued advancing forward.

Gusta explained the mission to his subordinates.
"Our mission now is to eliminate ZAFT's ace pilot!"
"Yes!"
Hearing the order, everyone responded to Gusta in unison.
With their confirmation, Gusta stopped wasting words, focused his eyes forward, and continued piloting the 105 Wired Guided Dagger MS forward.
On the frontlines
The Genesis Gundam, piloted by Felix, dodged left to evade a beam fired by a Strike Dagger, then raised its beam rifle and fired a single shot.
The beam pierced through the Strike Dagger.
Watching the explosion's fireball, Felix pressed the command buttons on his right side.
The DRAGOON Beam Assault Cannons moved through the air.
Six DRAGOON Beam Assault Cannons fired from multiple directions.
Their firepower swept across the battlefield, destroying multiple Mobius units and Strike Daggers.
Inside the Genesis Gundam cockpit
Felix pressed the forward pedal with his left foot, the reverse pedal with his right foot, while making fine adjustments with the control stick.
The Genesis Gundam executed a slight turn in response to the commands.
The incoming beams were dodged.
The Destiny Support Fighter moved to the left of two Strike Daggers, and when Felix pulled the trigger, both Fortissimo Beam Cannons fired simultaneously.
Beams shot from the cannon muzzles.
The two Strike Daggers were instantly pierced.
After eliminating these two units, Felix maneuvered the Genesis Gundam to change position.
At that moment, Felix spotted MS units on his screen that were completely different from Strike Daggers.
He manipulated the controls to zoom in on these MS units.
"Strike's aerial pack, artillery pack, sword pack... and the Mobius Zero's wired guided gun-barrels?"
He murmured to himself, his mind rapidly processing the information before realizing what they were.
"105 Daggers!"
The moment these words left his mouth, Felix saw multiple 105 Artillery Daggers aiming their Flame God Super High Impulse Cannons toward him.
Seeing these cannons, Felix quickly executed evasive maneuvers.
Just as he completed his actions, five Flame God Super High Impulse Cannons fired thick sandwich beams.
The extremely fast beams passed through where the Genesis Gundam had been standing moments before.
"That was close!"
He exclaimed in relief, then pulled the trigger.
Both Whale Plasma Cluster Beam Cannons fired toward the 105 Artillery Daggers ahead.
As the beam charged toward the 105 Gunbarrel Daggers, two 105 Skygrasper Daggers wielding Anti-Beam Shields positioned themselves in front of the two Gunbarrel Daggers.
While the two Skygrasper Daggers held their defense, five Gunbarrel Daggers armed with Flame God Super High Impulse Cannons opened fire once more.
Seeing this, Felix had no choice but to maneuver the Genesis Gundam to evade.
After dodging the Sandwich Beam attack, Felix spotted a 105 Dagger equipped with Wired Guided Gun-barrels closing in.
The Wired Guided Gun-barrels detached from its backpack and launched toward the Genesis Gundam.
Twenty railguns fired simultaneously.
"Being the focus of concentrated fire really doesn't feel good!"
Watching the electromagnetic cannon attacks, Felix frowned and muttered in displeasure.
While maneuvering the Genesis Gundam to evade with his controls, he simultaneously directed six DRAGOON Beam Assault Cannons to fire at the Wired Guided Gun-barrels.
