Hearing this, Kira pondered silently, unconsciously murmuring aloud.
"Unimaginably early?"
Observing his thoughtful expression, Felix took two steps forward, patted Kira's shoulder with a smile, and then walked directly out of the room.
"Don't overthink it. Prepare yourself properly!"
Before opening the door, he glanced back at Kira with a cheerful reminder.
A soft unlocking sound echoed as Felix withdrew his gaze. Under Kira's watchful eyes, Felix strode outside.
...
Time flowed swiftly, and two days soon faded into history.
At the Spaceport in December City District 1,
The Athena lay quietly docked. Felix entered the warship through the hatch, then transferred via an internal elevator to the bridge.
"Captain!"
Upon seeing Felix enter, Aric immediately stood up, saluted, and spoke respectfully.
Felix nodded slightly in response. "Mm." Seating himself, he inquired, "How are the supplies coming along?"
"I just spoke with Nathan. All supplies will be completed in twenty minutes," Aric replied respectfully, facing Felix.
Satisfied with the update, Felix nodded and asked no further questions.
Twenty minutes later,
The Athena, having completed its resupply mission, launched from the Spaceport, heading straight for the Gibraltar Military Base hundreds of thousands of kilometers away.
...
One day later,
At the Gibraltar Military Base dock,
The Athena, having descended from space, rested peacefully. As the personnel hatch opened, Felix stepped out and was met by the base commander.
"Captain Griffith!"
In response, Felix greeted Troy with a smile.
"Base Commander Troy!"
"Captain Griffith, you must be tired from your journey. Let me escort you to rest," Troy said with concern, looking at Felix.
"No need!" Felix shook his head, declining the offer. Gazing at Troy, he continued, "Time is tight, and the mission is urgent. I need to depart as soon as possible."
After replying, Felix turned to Troy and asked, "Base Commander Troy, are the troops fully prepared?"
"They are ready and can deploy at any moment," Troy affirmed with a confident smile. Hearing this, Felix checked the time on his phone and looked up at Troy.
"It's 9:35 now. I plan to mobilize in two hours. Please inform all participating forces of the departure time."
"No problem."
Troy nodded in agreement.
...
Two hours later,
The Athena, docked in the military port, powered up again and slowly maneuvered out of the harbor.
Upon reaching deeper waters, it activated its submersion mode.
Below the sea surface, inside the Athena's bridge,
Felix switched his communicator to multi-channel mode and issued orders to the twenty units surrounding the Athena.
"Destination: Panama Spaceport. Full speed ahead!"
No sooner had the command been issued than a voice of confusion sounded through the communications.
"Panama Spaceport?"
Following the confusion came questioning voices.
"Captain Griffith, wasn't the target of the Throat-Cutting Operation supposed to be Josh-A Military Base?"
Hearing this, Felix offered no elaborate explanation, calmly transmitting the corresponding electronic documents to the various team leaders. Only after completing this did he speak.
"This is an operation order personally signed by Chairman Zala, who also serves as the Chairman of the Defense Committee. Please review it carefully. If you still have any doubts, you may personally inquire with Chairman Zala after the battle concludes."
With that, Felix leaned back in his chair, quietly awaiting responses.
After a brief silence over the comms, a reply finally came through.
"Target Panama Spaceport, full speed ahead!"
"When the battle begins, I hope everyone will set aside any other thoughts in their minds and fully commit to the fight."
Hearing the response, Felix reminded everyone over the comms. In unison, the others replied.
"Rest assured, Captain Griffith. Since the order is signed by Chairman Zala, we naturally have no further questions."
"That's good. Let's discuss the specific tactics for the operation next."
Felix nodded slightly as he spoke.
The others responded to Felix.
"Yes, Captain Griffith."
...
Time passed, and soon it was May 2nd.
As Felix led his troops continuing their march toward the location of Panama Spaceport, Lacus in PLANT also began to take action.
Junius City, Sector 7
"Kira, it's time for us to depart."
Heyman looked at Kira and spoke.
Kira, who had long been prepared, stood up and nodded upon hearing this.
"I'm ready on my end."
"Good."
Observing Kira's attire, Heyman nodded in satisfaction, then led Kira out of the house.
A few minutes later
Heyman looked at the personnel who had come to take over and smiled slightly.
"I've brought him to you. The rest is in your hands now."
"Mm." The person nodded slightly in response to Heyman. "We can handle things from here."
"See you again if fate allows!"
Waving his hand, Heyman smiled and said, then glanced at Kira.
"Just follow their lead."
"I understand."
Kira nodded in response.
...
"Excellent!"
On the way to where the Freedom Gundam was stored, Lacus looked at Kira's clothing and facial disguise, smiling with satisfaction.
Kira looked at Lacus sitting opposite him, a hint of confusion on his face.
"Lacus, where are we going next?"
"To retrieve the power you need!"
Smiling gently, Lacus replied softly.
Hearing this, Kira asked no further questions and sat quietly in the room, waiting for time to pass.
...
"Chairman, the Freedom has been activated without authorization!"
"Intercept it!"
Upon hearing this, Patrick's face darkened as he swiftly issued the order.
Moments after the command was given, he heard a report that displeased him greatly.
"It's too late!"
"Order the forces at the Jachin Due defense line to intercept!"
Suppressing the rising anger in his heart, Patrick continued giving orders. After issuing the command, he restrained his fury and spoke in a low voice.
"Retrieve the surveillance footage from before the Freedom was stolen and interrogate the soldiers guarding it."
"Yes, Chairman."
After receiving the response, Patrick ended the communication. Moments later, a surveillance video appeared on the display before him.
As the footage played, a striking head of pink hair appeared on the screen.
Patrick took a deep breath, suppressing the fury in his heart, and manipulated the controls to instantly zoom in on the surveillance details.
The moment he clearly saw the face, Patrick's expression darkened, his low voice tinged with anger as he spoke.
"Lacus Clyne!"
