Born as a half-blood of the Lunarian tribe, Ryuji Eated—the Mythical Zoan Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Galmorath, which granted him the form of a Buffed up Equal Dragon Weapon from the universe of monster hunter.

With this newfound power, he left the Straw Hats and pledged allegiance to the Beast Pirates. His rise was so swift that Kaido accepted him as a son-in-law, and Yamato became his betrothed.

When Luffy sought his help, Ren’s answer was cold and final.:

“Sorry, I’m done playing to be pirates with you.” 

“From now on, call me the Fourth Calamity of the Beast Pirates—Draconic Calamity Ryuji!”
