I slept like a baby that night with nothing but thoughts of him and just when I woke up I remembered the beautiful dream I had.A dream where we loved each other and cared for one another..A dream where we were one and I just felt happy.I wanted to quickly bath and go out and see him but then I remembered I didn't know where he lived and neither did I have his number, that sure was a bummer,Mom suddenly came through the door looking all devastated and tired with that forced smile of hers."Hey pumpkin,how are you??Did you have a good walk??"wait did Doctor Orinon say anything to her??"Uhmm..yeah mom I did.But why are you here so early??"Looking into her eyes I. could tell she wanted to share all her burdens and pain with me but I guess she just doesn't trust me enough to do that"nothing sweetie,I just have an early shift and wanted to see you first that's all!."Each word she said was rushed but I didn't push any further.She stayed with me for 2 hours and went to work and I stayed in bed all day wondering where I can see that guy again but come to think of it I didn't even know his name.What kind of person spends the night with a stranger that they know nothing about?gosh how dense can I be.
Just then Doctor Orion came in "Hey Kid,I heard you were looking for me??what's up??are you in some kind of pain??"Saying he was panicking was an understatement he was literally freaked out as if someone died,and I just had to laugh at the old geezer "No everything is fine,why are you panicking so much??"He gave a huge breathe in and out"Thats good to hear so what do you need??"I knew that my request might be a bit unreasonable to him and may cost him a lot but I just had no one to turn to.I asked him to sit down so as not to let panick be the death of him"Well I want to you do something for me and I know that it might cost you a lot but please ,You're my last hope."His attention went from not listening to being attentive and he gave me the 'go'word with his eyes "Well....I need you..to fake my liver reports and say I'm good."He was baffled but flat out said"NO!!!!!"I thought at the very least he'd think about it but he just shut me down.He didn't even ask for a reason ,he just said no "But won't you even listen to what I have to say??"He got up and headed straight for the door and he was angry "Please I'm begging you Doc"He stopped at his track without looking back"Why would you do that??why would you do that to your own mother??why do you want to give her fake HOPE!!"when he said those words I just couldn't help but cry"Its because I love her!.I love her soo much that I hate it when she suffers,every single morning she walks up at the side of my bed thinking I'm fast asleep and says a silent prayer with tears and I always have to pretend as though I'm asleep and can't hear a word she said.She's drowning in debts trying to make sure that I get a chance at life but at WHAT COST??"I was angry at myself for being useless ,I was angry at myself for being the reason my mother had to suffer"I just want her .....to be happy even if it's just for a little while.I haven't seen her smile genuinely in 2 years and that breaks my heart.So please I beg of you..."I got out of bed and kneeled besides it showing respect to him"Make my mother happy even if it's just for a few weeks.That's all I ask of you Doc."And right then I heard footsteps coming towards me and a heavy hand placed itself at the top of my head, it stayed for the longest time there until I suddenly realized that Doc was crying.i got up and embraced him,this affected him as much as it affected me.He had become a father in my eyes just as I have become a son to him and this hurted him a lot,knowing I was slowly losing my life and there was nothing he could do.
When the reports came back ,they said I was better and Mom was overjoyed she thank2d God endlessly and it broke my heart seeing her being happy for nothing but atleast she won't have to worry anymore.We got home and the air felt refreshing we got back a little later than we should have I wanted to wait for the mysterious guy but he never showed up,I even went to where he took me last time but he wasn't there either "Can you atleast tell me his name??"."He's Mario."The street vendors were so kind but none of them knew where he lived,he only came by a couple of times to hang out so I just left.When i got into my room it was still the same as I have left it ,cover still as blue as ever and the single bed still on the left corner of the room,Mom was busy in the kitchen making me a special meal since she insists that I have eaten way too much hospital food,So I just sat down and scrolled through my phone I didn't have any friends so my phone was always completely empty just full of games and applications I have made to several jobs so when a notification of a person texting me popped up I was suprised"Hey there stranger..Can't believe you left without saying goodbye."I hastily went to his profile to make sure it was who I thought it was but there was only a Keychain with a cross on his profile and no name whatsoever, so I just didn't respond when another one popped up"First you stalk me then ignore me??that's so not cool."That's when I confirmed it really was him and I don't know but I just couldn't help but do a little jolly dance as my heart skipped a million beats.
