Rah's voice turned cold. "Do not bring my mother into this!!!" he said, as if a weak nerve had been touched. The sudden shift in his tone was sharp, indicating something he had been trying to conceal.
William just looked at Rah coldly. His expression remained unchanged as he started speaking about his own past.
"A demon killed my mother in front of my eyes in the most brutal way possible. My brother's heart was placed in my lap."
William's voice was deep and low as he stared at Rah with an intense stare.
"My father died at the hands of demons."
"I lost all my kin."
There was no tremble in his voice, no hesitation, only a firm declaration of truth that he had long accepted.
Listening to William's words, Rah's eyes widened. He had lost his own mother, and the way William spoke made him shudder. He remained silent, choosing not to speak for now.
The silence between them grew heavier, filled with unspoken understanding.
