Von let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding. The past day had been stressful with the sudden influx of negative critic reviews, so hearing this directly from the creator of the story meant everything.
"I did my best," Von replied with a genuine smile forming on his face.
It felt really good hearing the praise. It helped a lot to know that there were still many people, maybe even the majority, who had really loved the movie during the premiere.
The harsh criticisms from the top publications were just so unexpected and jarring. It felt like a coordinated attack, completely detached from the reality of the theater room.
