Several weeks after the mission on Planet Morgulon, Valencia was still in a state of shock. She had nearly lost her life, saved only by the power of the Primordial Phoenix that had been dormant within her all this time.
Meanwhile, Vorta and Kryos, knowing that Valencia was still unable to control her power, intended to do something to help her.
"Her Phoenix power is still unstable!"
"I've observed her lately; she seems under immense pressure."
Vorta, along with the others, discussed Valencia's condition. Kryos sat listening, Heliostra was busy taking notes, Foxana watched while leaning against the wall, and Fang remained silent, his head bowed.
"Hmm, according to reports, she accidentally boiled water with her bare hands. The other soldiers who saw it were terrified."
Heliostra looked at the reports she had received, her pink eyes focused on several images.
"I think we need to train her personally. She could be a danger to herself or others!"
Foxana looked at Vorta, who seemed conflicted as he crossed his arms.
A moment later, Siegfried, Seth, Haedeus, and Raiden arrived. Seeing the silence, Siegfried immediately understood the situation.
"Heh, I suppose yesterday's test wasn't enough to prove it."
Siegfried walked in calmly, with a small smile and his eyes closed. Behind him, Seth simply shook his head at the others.
"Chh, the kid is moving too fast. To become like us!"
"I think the two of you…."
Seth pointed toward Vorta and Kryos.
"Need to teach her a lesson on how to control the power of the gods!"
"Hahahaha!!!"
Seth laughed. Kryos didn't respond, but Foxana—still annoyed by yesterday's mockery—glared at Seth with displeasure.
"Perhaps Seth is right. We must train her ourselves, Vorta."
Kryos spoke briefly and coldly. Vorta immediately understood his meaning, his eyes widening.
"If you want me to use the power of the Ruler of Wind…."
"I assume you will also use the power of the Ruler of Ice, Kryos!"
Vorta stared at Kryos, who sat calmly but with sharp eyes. Then, Kryos stood up and walked slowly toward the door.
"Come… we must move."
Passing Seth and Siegfried, Kryos stepped out of the room. Vorta followed him, while the others only glanced briefly at the two of them.
Elsewhere, Valencia was practicing alone, trying to control her power without anyone else around. She summoned her Bow of The Sun once more and fired at several targets.
"Hyah!!"
With a single pull, a fire arrow streaked forward and split mid-air. The main arrow hit the bullseye, but the others missed, incinerating the targets in gold and orange flames.
"Damn it, why is it like this?!"
"I felt like I could control it yesterday!!"
She loosed several more arrows, but only a few hit the mark. The rest scorched the walls and empty crates, which were immediately extinguished by automated drones she had activated. As she reached for her bowstring again, a sudden, sharp pain flared in her head. Kryos and Vorta, who were on their way to the training grounds, stopped briefly.
"Ugh, what is this!!"
"My head….!!!"
The sun bow slipped from her hand. Valencia's chest and head felt feverishly hot. Suddenly, her mind was pulled into a dimension where she saw a white-haired wanderer wielding the power of the Ruler of Light.
"Uh, that vision again!"
"What is actually happening!!"
Vorta clutched his head, while Kryos simply looked down, his eyes closed.
"He... is giving us that vision again."
"The Ruler of Light, Bahamut."
Kryos looked up at the night sky, his pale blue eyes focused on the stars. Valencia felt the effects longer, but luckily her vision returned, and she quickly snatched the bow from the ground.
"I have to... I have to control this!"
"I don't want General Vorta to be disappointed in me!!"
Valencia's blue eyes seemed to glow, then she pulled the bowstring with a mix of emotions. She fired a few more arrows, but still, very few hit their mark.
After a while, Valencia became increasingly distressed. But before she could sink deeper into her frustration, a wave of cold air and a gust of wind brushed past her. Because she was pushing herself too hard, she didn't notice it at first.
"The Ruler of Fire requires someone who can control their emotions."
From behind, Valencia heard those sharp words. She turned slowly and saw two familiar figures: Kryos Graves and Vorta Caelum. Their presence caused the fire within Valencia to dim slightly.
"You still cannot control the Phoenix power, Valencia!"
"Your emotions are unstable, and you still require training!"
Vorta and Kryos stepped forward firmly. Valencia could only watch as the two generals approached, feeling a surge of different powers.
"G-General Vorta…."
"I... I'm sorry I haven't been able to meet expectations."
Her expression shifted. Bowing her head, Valencia didn't dare look at the two figures. Slowly, the floor beneath them turned cold. The air slowed down as Kryos took a step forward.
"Prepare your weapon. If you want to succeed, then you must conquer that uncontrollable blaze."
Kryos's hand manifested something—snow crystals began to fall and were drawn toward his hand, forming a fang. Vorta was surprised that Kryos used his power immediately; he quickly matched him, and a strong wind began to howl.
"Heh, not wasting any time, I see, Kryos. Very well."
Vorta's green eyes stared intensely at Valencia.
"Valencia, prepare yourself!"
A vortex of wind appeared in Vorta's hand, and spinning bird feathers materialized, slowly forming a sword hilt. Meanwhile, Kryos's fang took the shape of a claw.
"Valencia… are you ready?!"
Kryos's wolf ears twitched as the cold wind swirled around him, while Vorta unleashed a powerful whirlwind that encircled his body. Valencia, panicked, felt her power respond instinctively. Her Bow of The Sun began to glow brilliantly.
"Eh, very well, General."
"I'm ready!!"
Valencia gripped her bow, an arrow ready to be fired. The fire in her eyes blazed stronger. As Kryos's ice claw and Vorta's wind sword reached their perfect forms, they paused briefly, staring at Valencia.
"Valencia, this is our final test. I am the Formam of Ice, wielder of the Ruler of Ice, Primordial Boreas."
"With the Permafrost Claws, the fangs of the bringer of cold."
The freezing wind intensified in the training area. Valencia's fire dimmed slightly after Kryos sharply revealed his true identity.
"I shall guide you, Valencia. As the FormamofWind, with the Vortex Vanquiswords, the claws of the Ruler of Wind, PrimordialGaruda."
Valencia's fire flickered back to life, though its intensity was halved by the collision of the two elements. Valencia saw something behind them: the silhouette of a giant ice wolf and a massive, four-winged wind bird.
A moment later, both lunged at Valencia. She pulled her bow and loosed a shot.
Meanwhile, in a place far away, three figures stood, sat, and floated while gazing at the starlit sky.
"Hmm, the dream... is telling me something."
A girl with bright hair and eyes floated while flipping a book's page with her power.
"Moonlight, what vision did you receive?!"
The Fear, his blood-red eyes stared intensely at The Moonlight.
"Hmm, it's uncertain. The light... is too bright, obscuring the view."
"Morfeus... can only see his form, not his face."
"I... as his vessel... can only see through the ripples of dreams, without being able to intervene at will."
The Moonlight's voice was as calm as the moon itself, merging with the air and the night sky.
"Heh, PrimordialMorfeus."
"Even the Ruler of Dreams cannot see clearly, despite the ripples that bind everyone!"
Fear looked at the sky. Beside him was The Misfit, who had been watching in silence, observing life from afar.
The night sky lightened, turning into a blazing fire as Valencia struggled desperately against her two seniors. Their battle left the confines of The Haast, even leaving the atmosphere of Planet Romeus.
"Damn it!"
"Piercing Fire!!"
Three arrows were fired, splitting in the vacuum of space. The ice wolf with its fangs and the wind bird with its claws parried the golden feathers aimed at them.
Back at The Haast, Spartan troops, Science Division scientists, and other High Sentinels watched the stars, witnessing orange, blue, and green lights streaking across the sky.
"Your attack is not enough, Valencia."
Kryos's movements caused even the vacuum of space to feel the bite of the cold.
"Calm yourself, Valencia!"
"Don't let the fire consume and burn you uncontrollably!!"
Vorta increased his speed, bird feathers appearing in his wake. Valencia's fire grew stronger and brighter, but its intensity began to turn blinding. The three moved further away from the capital planet. Passing starships and spacecraft witnessed the three colors moving with incredible speed.
"Freezing Roar!"
Kryos unleashed a wave of cold, rippling through the vacuum. The sword in Vorta's right hand gathered a swirling whirlwind.
"Storm Barrage!!"
Wind energy sliced through space, accompanied by the wave of cold aimed at the increasingly radiant Valencia.
"Ahhh!!!"
"Firanado...!!"
As the two elemental attacks closed in, fire began to spin around Valencia, forming a giant tornado in the middle of the dark void. Back at The Haast, Marina, Alice, and Iris also witnessed the event. However, the three of them had no idea who or what was happening.
The citizens of Nexus City also saw it. As the fire tornado grew, it looked like a small, nearby star. Kryos and Vorta, realizing that Valencia was becoming increasingly uncontrollable, finally lowered their tempo and prepared a containment strike on their weapons.
