Chapter 275: Snow Empress Soul Spirit – Imperial Sword, Imperial Palm, and Icebound Heaven
Not only that, but Ye Chen's perception of the world had become sharper, clearer, and infinitely more refined.
He could now sense what had once been hidden—the invisible laws that shaped reality.
Before, even with his exceptional talent, such forces were beyond his perception.
Now, after forming two soul cores, he could feel them—especially the spatial laws disturbed by the collapse and fissures that had appeared during condensation.
If he chose to sit down and meditate, his understanding of space would likely advance at breakneck speed.
But Ye Chen wasn't the type to sit and cultivate endlessly.
The energy of the Snow Lotus was completely exhausted—condensing a third soul core was out of the question for now.
And besides, endless training had never been his way.
He'd just formed his cores—and that meant it was time to test their power.
To make a little spectacle of it.
"Ye Chen, you succeeded?"
The Ice Empress finally dared to approach, her tone cautious and excited.
"Of course. I'm now a dual-core soul master."
Ye Chen smiled lightly.
"Wow, Ye Chen, you're amazing!"
The Ice Empress's eyes lit up. She threw herself at him with a joyful cry, hugging his neck and planting an affectionate kiss on his cheek, her face red with excitement.
Though she herself only possessed one soul core, she understood intimately how formidable forming two really was.
And hers were no ordinary synchronized cores—Ye Chen's were the higher-tier Yin-Yang Complementary Cores.
He might only be a Soul Sage now, but one day, even a third soul core would be within reach.
With talent like his, his future potential was limitless—enough to rival even Ditian himself.
"How did you even manage that…"
The Snow Empress approached slowly, her beautiful eyes filled with disbelief.
She couldn't quite process it—a human Soul Sage had done what even she, a sovereign beast of hundreds of millennia, could not.
Too impossible, too absurd.
"Luck," Ye Chen replied with a faint smile. Then he looked at her. "So… do you still think it was a humiliation to follow me?"
"Hmph~"
The Snow Empress blushed faintly and turned her head away without responding.
But her silence spoke volumes.
Her pride as the ruler of the North had cracked. She could no longer pretend to stand higher than him.
His talent not only surpassed hers—his strength did too.
A dual-core Ultimate Ice soul master, sustained by her and the Ice Empress as soul spirits, was no weaker than her at her peak.
Such power could roam the continent freely—none would dare harm him.
Her greatest fear had always been that, as a fragile human, he might die early—and that she and the Ice Empress would perish alongside him.
But now?
There was no longer any doubt. With time, Ye Chen would become a god.
At his rate, even ten years might be enough.
For a soul beast, ten years was nothing.
Yet for her now, it suddenly felt like a long, torturous wait.
"Come," Ye Chen said, smiling faintly. "With twin cores, my soul power is almost limitless. Let's test your abilities, Snow Empress."
With one step, he brought both her and the Ice Empress out of the cave.
Whooo—
The biting northern wind swept across their faces, tearing away the pale stillness of the cave.
The glaciers stretched endlessly under a dim, frozen light, reflecting a hard, metallic gleam.
The Extreme North—vast and desolate—was the perfect place to test ice abilities.
The Snow Empress landed lightly atop a massive slab of black ice, her crystalline gown fluttering.
She looked every bit an empress—cold, fierce, and ethereally beautiful.
Her gaze on Ye Chen was complex.
In mere days, he had shattered everything she had believed about cultivation.
Her pride as the queen of the North still lingered, but she could no longer deny that following him might not be degradation—it might be the only path to surpass even her old self.
"How do you intend to test it?"
Her tone carried less superiority than before, though her regal bearing remained.
More importantly, her curiosity had overtaken her pride—she wanted to see just how far Ye Chen's strength could push her powers.
"My three imperial arts are not something ordinary humans can control," she warned softly. "Even with your soul power supplying me, mastering them will not be easy."
There was still pride in her words—but it was the pride of a teacher, not a scoffing monarch.
Ye Chen sensed the shift in her tone and smiled. Her arrogance no longer bothered him. What mattered now was strength.
"One by one," he said calmly. "Let's start with your first move—'Emperor's Frozen Heaven: Snow Dance of Absolute Ice.'"
"So you even know their names…" the Snow Empress raised a delicate brow. "The Ice Empress told you?"
Every human who had ever seen her use her abilities was long dead. The Ice Empress had to be the culprit.
Her eyes slid sideways, landing on the smaller spirit—sharp, gleaming with the promise of retribution.
Later, she thought darkly. I'll deal with her. A few smacks should teach her to stop tattling.
"I didn't! I swear, Snow Empress—I never said anything!" The Ice Empress waved her hands defensively.
She truly hadn't. At least… not this time.
If Ye Chen had asked, of course she would've told him—but he hadn't, and she wasn't about to take that blame for nothing.
"It wasn't her," Ye Chen said with a chuckle, stepping in before Snow Empress could scold further. "You're my soul spirit. I can sense your power as my own."
The Snow Empress blinked, slightly intrigued, and let the matter drop.
In truth, she was just as curious as he was—to see how her power would perform when fueled by his immense soul energy and mental strength.
Her figure drifted lightly toward him.
She narrowed her eyes at the snow plains before them, and her presence sank like a tide.
In that instant, the cold elements in the air began to stir.
Though a spirit, she had a body—able to act and fight beside Ye Chen, so long as he supplied power.
"Watch closely."
Her voice, crisp and commanding, sliced through the wind.
A heartbeat later—
A torrent of icy energy erupted from her form, fiercer than the cold of the North itself.
The air froze solid. The world turned white.
The first of the Three Imperial Arts had begun—
Emperor's Frozen Heaven: Snow Dance of Absolute Ice.
