Chapter 232 - Chapter 232: Demon: This Way, My Lord—I’ll Lead You There!

Chapter 232: Demon: This Way, My Lord—I'll Lead You There!

As for the position of the new head of the Federation's Secret Division, it remained vacant for now.

But judging by current circumstances, it was clear that Ye Hui—who had now reached Super Douluo rank—would soon inherit it.

Her cheeks flushed slightly.

"Director—uh, Headmaster, I'm not qualified enough yet."

Talron smirked. "Qualifications don't matter in the Shadow Division. We only care about results."

As the two chatted casually, nothing escaped Talron's control. With him guarding the Demon Gate, there was no chance a single demon could escape.

Meanwhile, in the depths of the Demon Plane…

Deep underground, hidden from sight, hordes of demons trembling in fear huddled together.

But among them stood one figure whose aura rivaled even that of the slain Demon Monarch Alba.

He was U'jie—the other Demon Monarch of this world.

The demonic seed within Ye Hui had been his creation.

The last time the Demon Gate opened, it was U'jie who had led the charge into the Douluo Plane.

When he first sensed that foreign world, bursting with vibrant life, his ambition had ignited.

Though weaker than Alba, he believed that if he could devour the Douluo Plane, he would surpass his rival and become the mightiest of all demons.

Unfortunately, his dream was shattered almost immediately.

Barely had his forces entered the Yuanen family grounds before three Titan Divine Fists crushed both his army and his pride.

He had felt, for the first time, a power beyond comprehension—one that dwarfed even his own existence.

In panic, he had retreated before that fist even landed, fleeing back into the Demon Plane.

There, he had warned Alba of the incomprehensible might that lurked in the Douluo world.

If Alba somehow managed to conquer it, the Demon Plane would evolve, and U'jie could still benefit.

And if Alba perished instead—then U'jie would simply inherit everything.

Either way, it was a win.

But now—now he was staring at a nightmare.

Humans had invaded the Demon Plane.

Impossible.

For countless ages, demons had always been the invaders. Never once had another world dared invade theirs.

He was both furious and terrified, watching as that towering figure in the sky crushed Alba with a single blow—just one punch!

U'jie nearly wet himself in fear.

He had fled deep underground, barely daring to breathe, praying the humans would leave soon.

"Go! Please, all you monsters, go!" he muttered, trembling.

Those humans—those devils—possessed legions of powerful cultivators and devastating weapons that burst like fireworks, annihilating demons like insects.

The land was carpeted with corpses.

Hell itself looked kinder in comparison.

"What's this? Still some vermin left?"

The voice that echoed through the ruined world sent shivers down U'jie's spine.

It was Chen Xinjie.

Having witnessed divine power firsthand, Chen Xinjie's ambition reignited. He still had room to rise—he wanted to become a true god.

Though he already bore a partial connection to the Sea God's legacy, he had pushed his spiritual realm close to divinity on his own—his talent was extraordinary.

If not for the Sea God position being occupied, he might have long achieved it already.

As he pondered that bitter reality, his divine sense swept over the devastated world.

First, he noticed Jiang Chen sneaking about—but chose not to intervene. The young man was doing good work channeling most of the Demon Plane's energy back to the Douluo Plane.

That was something even Chen Xinjie couldn't accomplish himself.

So he let it be.

Then his attention caught something unexpected—traces of demons hiding deep underground.

A flicker of azure flashed. In the next moment, Chen Xinjie stood among a trembling crowd of demons.

"Well, well. Looks like everyone's here."

U'jie froze, nearly crying as he felt the crushing weight of the human's spiritual power.

Abandoning all semblance of pride, the monarch dropped to his knees.

"M-My Lord, I am U'jie, another Demon Monarch of this plane! I—I wish to surrender!"

"I know how to help your plane devour the Demon Plane! Your world could ascend beyond its current limits—it's possible!"

As a Demon Monarch, he could communicate directly with the plane's will.

But the instant the Demon Plane sensed its own monarch's betrayal—and the theft of its power—it erupted in fury.

A blood-red storm swept the skies, turning the heavens into a crimson apocalypse.

Yet Chen Xinjie merely lifted a hand.

In an instant, the scarlet sky dissolved into brilliant blue, the clouds reflecting a vast ocean suspended above their world, just like the Douluo sky.

No—exactly like the sea itself.

The sheer purity of that energy quieted even the Demon Plane's rage.

Chen Xinjie smiled faintly, glancing down at the demons kneeling before him.

"You do realize—I'm still exterminating your kind, right?"

U'jie quickly protested, waving his claws. "No, no! We're not like them! I swear!"

He was no fool. Knowing he couldn't win with strength, he'd chosen intellect instead—priding himself on being the 'clever demon' of his world.

He had founded an entire race of demons that reflected his wit, rather than brute force.

And now, facing certain doom, he took the only path left—surrender.

"My Lord," he pleaded humbly, "we are yours to command! My entire legion shall fight for you! Spare us, and we'll serve faithfully!"

The other demons—those loyal to Alba—meant nothing to him.

Chen Xinjie's eyes gleamed with amusement. "You wish to surrender?"

U'jie nodded fervently. "Yes, My Lord! I know countless secrets of the Demon Plane, knowledge from tens of thousands of years of conquest. Though you have not yet ascended fully, I can help your plane evolve—help you break the limits that bind you!"

Chen Xinjie paused in thought.

Perhaps these creatures could be useful.

"Very well," he said. "I am Chen Xinjie—Lord of the Douluo Federation's War God Temple. On behalf of the Federation, I accept your surrender."

"However… I don't yet feel your loyalty."

U'jie's eyes darted nervously, then suddenly whipped a kick into one of his lieutenants—a subordinate Demon Lord named U'ji, commander of his legion.

"U'ji! What are you standing around for? Didn't you hear the Lord's command?"

"Demons!" he roared. "Take up your blades and open the way for our master!"

A smaller demon hesitated. "B-but… those are our own kin—ah!"

Boom!

Without a second's hesitation, U'jie blasted him into dust.

"Anyone who wants to live—follow me! Kill!"

The terrified demons howled, but under their leader's gaze, they picked up their weapons and charged, tearing through the remnants of Alba's scattered forces.

Somewhere far off, the surviving demons stared in disbelief.

U'jie bowed obsequiously at Chen Xinjie's feet. "My Lord, I know the location of Alba's treasure vault—it holds countless relics absorbed from conquered worlds."

He lowered his head even further, tail trembling.

"My Lord, this way please… I'll lead you there myself!"
