Chapter 175 - Chapter 175: Dugu Feng — “Let You Repeat the Same Mistake!”

Chapter 175: Dugu Feng — "Let You Repeat the Same Mistake!"

The next morning, in the Great Spirit Arena's resting area.

Ning Rongrong sat gracefully beside Dugu Feng, her hand linked through his arm as they watched the matches.

"Huh? The Shrek Team didn't forfeit this one? They're actually going to fight the Thunder Team? Do they really plan to push through?" Dugu Feng asked, surprised.

On his other side, Little Snake smirked inwardly. Of course, Young Master—this is all thanks to you! With two of the Thunder Team's Soul Ancestors injured, Shrek would be fools not to seize the chance.

Ning Rongrong, sharp as ever, added cheerfully, "Tang San and the Grandmaster are both opportunists. After seeing Thunder Academy's injuries yesterday, they must've been inspired to fight.

Everyone expects them to lose… but maybe they'll surprise us and win this one!"

Her tone was light and playful. The glow of last night's intimacy still lingered on her skin—soft, lazy, flushed with warmth.

"Tang San truly is impressive," Dugu Feng said with admiring calm. "If he beats the Thunder Team, Shrek Academy will become famous across the continent."

Outwardly, he spoke with praise; inwardly, his thoughts were darker. Oh, you'll win, all right. Because I'll make sure of it.

Tang San, today you'll earn fame worldwide—and Yu Xiaogang, you'll finally learn your lesson. Letting your disciple fight your own clan's academy… only you could make such a move. You didn't learn from Yu Tianheng's death? Fine. I'll make you relive it.

Right next to them, the Shrek contingent—Yu Xiaogang, Flender, and Xiao Wu—watched with bright, eager faces, clearly expecting their team to pull off a miracle.

Up on the stage, both teams stepped forward.

Shrek's spirits soared when they noticed Thunder Academy missing Lei Dong.

Now it was three Soul Ancestors against their one—still uneven, but no longer hopelessly so.

"Teams, salute!"

The referee's voice boomed from above as he hovered in midair.

Led by Dai Mubai, all seven members of Shrek bowed respectfully to their opponents.

But Yu Tianxin and his Thunder teammates didn't move an inch.

He simply smirked coldly, waiting for the fight to begin.

The referee hesitated, awkwardly glancing between the two sides.

But this was Thunder Academy—backed by the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. He couldn't exactly order them to bow.

With a stiff expression, he declared, "Round eleven of the preliminaries—begin!"

At once, fourteen soul masters released their spirits, the arena bursting into a brilliant flood of color.

The first to move was Tai Long.

He snatched several sausages from Oscar's hands and crammed them into his mouth before roaring, "Vigorous Orangutan—possess!"

Already towering over two meters tall, Tai Long's frame expanded another half foot, muscles swelling monstrously. His shirt tore apart under the strain, revealing a torso of thick, dark muscle radiating sheer force.

"Rock Shield!"

"Golden Ape Body!"

His first and third rings shone as overlapping defensive abilities surrounded him, his form swelling again until he resembled a moving fortress, taking position in front of his six teammates.

Yu Tianxin raised an eyebrow, grudgingly impressed.

He knew Tai Long came from one of the Haotian Sect's subsidiary clans—the Power Clan.

Tang San's loyal lapdog, he thought coldly.

"So you're playing guardian, are you? Don't blame me for being merciless!"

"Brothers, unleash everything! Knock them off the stage!"

He planned to end this battle in one strike—and cripple Tang San in the same breath. That way, even if anyone protested, he could shrug innocently.

After all, if Tang San can't even withstand one of my blows, who's to blame?

The strategy had been finalized before the fight began.

All six of his teammates showed grim smiles, ready to strike with no restraint.

Lightning spirits were the embodiment of destructive speed—their power explosive and overwhelming.

A wave-style assault—lightning-fast annihilation.

Electric arcs surged across the stage, foretelling the coming storm.

"Thunder Wrath!"

"Thunder Wrath!"

"Thunder Wrath!"

Cries echoed as hundreds of lightning bolts launched in unison, each soul master targeting a specific opponent.

Yu Tianxin's true aim, however, was not Dai Mubai—it was Tang San.

Lei Tian's target was Dai Mubai, while Lei Shan attacked Tai Long.

The remaining four focused on Jing Ling, Zhu Zhuqing, Ma Hongjun, and Oscar.

Their coordination was flawless.

And the density of lightning was so great that even stray bolts would inevitably find a target.

They were a living thunderstorm.

Yu Tianxin could almost taste victory. Just wait until Tang San collapses.

But his confident grin froze the next instant.

Because Tang San… was flying.

Tang San had taken off—with someone on his back.

The moment the referee had started the match, Oscar had moved to stand right behind him. Yu Tianxin had barely noticed—assuming the support-type soul master was just seeking cover.

He certainly hadn't expected this.

The audience gasped as a pair of translucent wings spread from Tang San's back.

With graceful precision, he darted through the bursts of lightning, weaving between explosions before shooting straight upward—Oscar clinging tightly.

"Impossible! How can he fly!?" Yu Tianxin shouted, dumbfounded.

But worse was yet to come.

Two dark blue bands of light shot out from Tang San's waist, connecting to Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun.

A moment later, they too soared into the air.

It was a sight to behold—the Shrek team dividing in perfect formation.

Four in the sky, one holding the ground, two vanishing like shadows.

Zhu Zhuqing and Jing Ling blurred along the stage's edge, sprinting faster than the lightning itself. They flickered in and out of view, their agility so extreme that the thunderbolts chasing them struck only empty air.

The crowd erupted in astonishment.

Above, Tang San finally exhaled in relief.

He glanced down at Tai Long.

The big man staggered back near the edge of the platform, his hair standing on end, his clothes charred and in tatters—but his grin remained fierce.

As the team's shield, he had not only absorbed the brunt of the assault but perfectly masked Tang San's movements.

That one towering frame had blocked the Thunder Team's view long enough for Tang San to act.

Behind his cover, Tang San's Blue Silver Grass had already secured Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun, enabling all three to take flight before the enemy realized it.

He'd brought only the two of them—the Thunder Team's precision was deadly, their lightning nearly unavoidable. Too many connections would slow him down, or worse, get cut by the electric strikes.

Carrying just two, however, he was nimble as a meteor, swinging his partners through open sky as the bolts flashed below.
