Chapter 138 – Yu Tianheng Is Dead… What, What?

Ning Rongrong poured in every drop of spirit power she had left.

She focused it all into one final amplification—for Tang San.

She knew his spirit power must be running low by now; what he needed most at that moment was reinforcement.

As she released the ability, she felt something strange—her power flowed effortlessly, smooth and responsive.

Yes, smooth—silky smooth.

She had never channeled her strength so fluidly before.

Believing it to be the result of her daily control training, she pushed her divided concentration further than ever, achieving maximum output with minimal energy expenditure.

"Tangled Web!"

Tang San was briefly startled. Ning Rongrong's amplification felt incredibly strong—stronger than usual.

Could it be that she had stopped supporting the others and focused solely on him?

It must be.

With renewed energy, his inner Xuan Tian skill surged, his recovered spirit power letting him unleash his third ability, Spider Web Restraint.

In an instant, silken threads wrapped around Yu Tianheng, binding him completely.

Born from the Human-Faced Demon Spider's spirit, the restraint was tough, elastic, and saturated with Tang San's poison.

Yu Tianheng felt his spirit power draining rapidly as the sticky threads tightened.

But surrender was not in his nature.

Even as Ye Lingling's white healing light continued to fall over him, he gathered what remained of his strength and will.

He transformed all his energy into lightning.

This was his final eruption.

A blast of thunder burst outward—Blue Silver Grass and Spider Web shattered into pieces.

Leaping high, his Dragon Arm came crashing down toward Tang San.

Tang San's eyes widened.

He hadn't anticipated such power; that Yu Tianheng could destroy his web even while poisoned by the Demon Spider's venom, and strike with even greater ferocity.

"Pff! Pff!"

The blow landed again and again, Tang San stumbling as blood streamed down his lips.

He spun in retreat, steps tracing out the shifting rhythm of Ghost Shadow Perplexing Step, dispersing the shock of Yu Tianheng's assault to keep from collapsing.

From a distance, Dugu Yan's eyes gleamed with excitement—Yu Tianheng was radiant with power, his thunder shaking the field. She rushed forward to join him, intent on ending the fight together.

But the next moment, her face froze.

Yu Tianheng suddenly swayed and fell heavily to the floor.

His body was horribly swollen, his skin tinted with purple light—clear signs of poisoning.

Ye Lingling, Ao Si Luo, and Yu Feng all froze in place, their faces paling as they realized the severity of his condition.

"His life's in danger," someone whispered.

"He's poisoned… badly."

"WE SURRENDER!"

From the sidelines, Qin Ming's voice cracked through the noise.

A seasoned instructor, he instantly saw Yu Tianheng's state.

If the match continued, Yu Tianheng might die on the stage.

Anger surged beneath his fear. How could Tang San strike to kill?

Before the battle, he had ordered Yu Tianheng and the others explicitly: no killing blows.

That's why Yu Tianheng's attacks on Dai Mubai and Xiao Wu were powerful but nonlethal.

But this—this poison—was deadly.

On the stage, Tang San stood coldly, his expression unsoftened by Qin Ming's shout.

He'd heard it. But his fury hadn't cooled—Xiao Wu's blood still painted his mind red.

He wanted Yu Tianheng to suffer—to feel the agony he'd caused.

There was no thought of antidote.

He merely pointed toward Ye Lingling.

"Help Xiao Wu."

His eyes flashed with killing intent; in his heart there was room only for her. Everything else could burn.

Ye Lingling's right hand glowed pink as her Nine Heart Begonia spirit blossomed, releasing soft white petals of healing light onto Yu Tianheng's body.

But the glow dimmed instantly—the poison did not fade.

"Help our captain first!" Ye Lingling cried out desperately.

Yu Feng, Shi Mo'er, and Dugu Yan rushed to Yu Tianheng's side, glaring daggers at Tang San.

"Xiao San! Heal him—now!"

The sharp voice came from the edge of the stage.

The Grandmaster had arrived.

Yu Tianheng was, after all, his nephew. And the poison's intensity frightened even him.

How had it become so lethal? Tang San's martial soul naturally carried toxins, yes—but never anything capable of killing this fast.

Yu Tianheng's body convulsed, wracked by spasms as the venom coursed through him.

None of them noticed the faint pulse inside Dugu Yan's pearl—spinning once more, releasing unseen energy.

Then—

BOOM!

A thunderous crash shook the arena.

A figure wrapped in lightning descended from the air—Yu Luomian.

Sparks flared from his body as rage distorted his face.

"Detoxify him—NOW! If anything happens to him, you'll die with him!"

His voice cracked through the hall like thunder, echoing across the Great Spirit Arena.

His fury was absolute.

Yu Xiaogang leapt onto the stage at once.

"Second Uncle, calm down! Xiao San—stop standing there! Cure him!"

he barked.

Startled by Yu Luomian's sudden arrival, Tang San stiffened. His killing aura flared again—he almost lashed out blindly—but at the sound of his teacher's voice, reason returned, and his rage slipped away.

He flicked his wrist—the Blue Silver Grass shot forth once more, wrapping around Yu Tianheng's body.

The vines' barbed tips pierced his arms, trying to draw the toxin back out.

But Tang San's face twisted in horror.

It was too late.

The venom had already reached Yu Tianheng's heart, seeping into his blood, his meridians—his entire being.

His pulse was fading fast.

Tang San's eyes widened. "Impossible! His lightning should've resisted toxins—how… how could it be this strong?"

Panic gripped him.

Yu Tianheng was the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan's heir. Worse, his uncle Yu Luomian—a titled expert—was right here.

If Yu Tianheng died… this would turn catastrophic.

Tang San hadn't meant for this. He'd only wanted revenge—not death.

"Patriarch Dugu, please—save him!" Yu Luomian shouted, desperate now.

He realized from Tang San's panic that no antidote could work.

Abandoning blame, he turned to Dugu Shuo's VIP booth for help.

But before assistance could come, Yu Tianheng's body convulsed violently in his arms.

Yu Luomian's lightning surged into him, trying to stabilize his energy—

And then his hands went cold.

Breath vanished.

Yu Tianheng's body went limp.

Down below, Dugu Shuo had already started moving—but even before he reached the platform, it was over.

The young heir was dead.

His swollen flesh continued to decay before their eyes, skin purple-black and bleeding.

Within moments, the stench of rot filled the entire arena.

Yu Tianheng was dead.

Everyone froze.

The entire crowd sat in stunned silence.

In every noble box, the representatives of the six factions stared in disbelief. The Emperor Team's mentor Qin Ming stood motionless, unable to process what had just happened.

Yu Xiaogang, Flender, Zhao Wuji—all looked as though struck by lightning themselves.

Ning Rongrong, Zhu Zhuqing, Ma Hongjun, and Oscar all paled in collective shock.

This—this was—

"Tianheng…"

Yu Luomian's face twisted, his entire body trembling with rage and grief.

The clan's most gifted young genius had died before his eyes.

How would he ever face his elder brother now?

"I'll kill you!"

His voice rasped with fury, eyes glowing like twin bolts of lightning as he stood.

"Second Uncle, don't!"

"Patriarch Yu," Flender's deep voice cut through the tension. "This is a spirit duel. On this stage, life and death are part of a spirit master's path.

No one may take revenge for what happens here. It's an unspoken law—one every clan honors, and one every spirit master upholds."

He moved quickly, stepping between Yu Luomian and Tang San, his broad frame blocking the youth from danger.

Flender's expression hardened. He had to protect Tang San—even if the entire Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan demanded blood.
