Chapter 113 - Chapter 113: Yu Xiaogang Wants to Steal Corpses Again

Chapter 113: Yu Xiaogang Wants to Steal Corpses Again

"Warlock! Warlock!" Tang Hao, having left the Great Spirit Arena, was seething with fury. He finally realized he had been deceived.

The one who had stolen his wife's soul bone and seed was the same person from today.

It had all been a calculated trap.

Gnashing his teeth, he strode down the alleyway and punched the wall, leaving a deep crater in the stone.

The Warlock had first appeared in Spirit City—there was no doubt about it. The Warlock had to be a member of the Spirit Hall!

Tang Hao's thoughts turned rapidly.

How had the Spirit Hall known he was in Soto City? Even if they had, they couldn't have anticipated his outburst unless the Warlock attacked Tang San first.

Could it be… the Spirit Hall already knew of Tang San's identity?

The idea struck him hard, but moments later he shook his head.

No, impossible. If Spirit Hall knew Tang San was his son, they'd have used that knowledge to threaten him long ago. Yet, they hadn't moved against his boy.

So then… was the Warlock not part of Spirit Hall at all?

Tang Hao's mind was a jumble, tangled thoughts looping endlessly without answer.

Meanwhile, Luo Ling, the architect behind the chaos in Soto City, strolled leisurely toward Shrek Academy.

His strike against Tang San had been to obtain the Xuantian Record, while framing Tang Hao was purely to incite his rage and plant the Soul Seed—a move for the future.

He already foresaw the inevitable war that would one day break out between Spirit Hall and the great powers of the continent. The Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan was already aligned with Spirit Hall.

Only two major forces remained—Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan and the Clear Sky Sect.

Once Tang Hao's soul succumbed to the planted seed, he'd become Luo Ling's pawn within the Clear Sky Sect.

Luo Ling smiled faintly. Today's events had gone perfectly. Both of his objectives were accomplished.

He continued walking toward Shrek's direction until, turning a corner, he encountered Chrysanthemum Douluo, Ghost Douluo, and Bibi Dong herself.

He froze for a second, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly when he spotted the principal's piercing gaze.

Inside a private room of an inn, Bibi Dong led Luo Ling in.

"It's been a long time, little Ling," she said, lips curling slightly with a mixture of pride and irritation. "You've changed so much. You've grown… stronger again."

Luo Ling could only smile wryly and scratch his head.

"My disciple's growing up—and now I barely understand him," she added. "If Ghost Douluo hadn't told me, I'd never have known you suddenly rose eight levels. Level fifty-four? Already a Soul King."

"Oh, and apparently, you also acquired an external spirit bone," she continued, her tone tinged with exasperation.

"Just… good fortune," Luo Ling replied with a polite smile.

Bibi Dong sighed as she looked at his calm face.

"I know you have your secrets. I won't pry—as long as you still acknowledge me as your teacher," she said softly.

"But next time, don't do something so reckless again. Tang Hao is a Titled Douluo, no matter what."

After a brief pause, curiosity glinted in her eyes.

"Tell me, did you attack Tang Hao because his son—Tang San—is Yu Xiaogang's disciple?"

From her perspective, Luo Ling had only met Tang San once in Nuoding City, with no real grudge between them. The only connection she could see was Yu Xiaogang.

Luo Ling paused for a moment, then nodded faintly.

It was a reasonable explanation, and he didn't feel the need to correct her.

In truth, he had targeted Tang Hao purely for the Soul Seed. The stronger the target, the greater the eventual payoff.

Excluding allies such as Spirit Hall, the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan, and Dugu Bo, the only Titled Douluo left were from the Clear Sky Sect and Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan.

"Enough of that," Bibi Dong said, dismissing the topic with a wave. "It's been too long since you last saw me, and my inner corruption has built up again. Help me purge it."

She finished speaking and, with a flicker of spirit power, sealed the doors of the room.

At Shrek Academy, the group returning from Soto City looked utterly drained.

Except for Oscar and Ning Rongrong, every one of them had had their spirit power nearly sucked dry. Even after recovering a little, they had hurried straight back.

They had no idea what horrors had followed their departure from the arena.

When they reached Flender's office, they ran into Zhao Wouji exiting the room.

Zhao Wouji glanced at them—and his expression changed instantly upon seeing Flender's lifeless eyes and Tang San lying unconscious.

"What happened?" Zhao Wouji quickly carried the two to nearby beds.

The group stayed silent for a moment before recounting everything that had transpired in the Great Spirit Arena.

"You're saying… the dean fought the Warlock—and lost?" Zhao Wouji's voice trembled.

A Spirit Saint losing to a Spirit King? It sounded absurd.

He inhaled deeply and channeled his soul power into the injured pair to examine them.

Their bodies showed no grievous damage, but their spirits were weak—severely drained.

Flender especially—his soul itself seemed to have lost its spark entirely.

Zhao Wouji's expression tightened. He was no healer; there was nothing he could do for injuries of the spirit.

Turning to the Shrek students still standing there, he said, "You should all go rest. I'll bring a healing-type spirit master to tend to them."

No one objected. Exhausted, the group dispersed to recover.

Once everyone had left, Zhao Wouji looked down at the two men and sighed heavily.

And not just them—Yu Xiaogang, whom he had carried off earlier, was also still unconscious. The academy had suffered a devastating blow.

By the next day, the events of Soto City spread like wildfire, rocking the entire spirit master world.

The long-hidden Clear Sky Sect had reappeared. Haotian Douluo had gone on a rampage, even attempting to assassinate the Warlock.

Rumors flew in every direction, and none were kind.

In short, the reputation of the Clear Sky Sect was ruined.

As for Tang Hao himself, he quietly arrived at Shrek Academy.

He met no one—merely observed in the shadows.

Tang San was recovering swiftly. His condition, unlike Flender's, was simply one of mental exhaustion from prolonged spiritual intrusion.

Satisfied, Tang Hao then went to find Yu Xiaogang.

By then, Yu Xiaogang had awakened. He sat upright, listening as Zhao Wouji recounted everything—the battle, the massacre, even Tang Hao's rampage.

Yu Xiaogang was stunned. He couldn't comprehend how the Haotian Douluo he idolized could have done such a thing.

But soon, his shock gave way to… calculation.

The first thought that crept into his mind wasn't about Tang San—but about all those corpses at the arena.

His hand instinctively brushed against the spirit tool hidden on his belt, and his eyes gleamed faintly.

If he could get to those bodies within twenty-four hours, the Blood Demon Ritual could still be performed.
