Chapter 110: Crow Shadow Puppet vs. Flender

On the stage, Tang San's eyes were filled with terror as he stared at the Warlock.

The man before him knew his deepest secret, and those crimson eyes beneath the veil of darkness were truly the eyes of a devil.

Tang San's screams of agony echoed throughout the Great Spirit Arena. It took several seconds for the audience to fully recover from their shock, staring in horrified silence.

No one knew what the Warlock was doing, but judging from Tang San's pained suffering, it was clear he was enduring something unimaginable.

"What are you doing?!" Flender roared, finally snapping back to his senses.

His student was being tortured. This was supposed to be just a duel, and the Warlock's actions were beyond cruel.

But the Warlock didn't move. It was as if he hadn't heard Flender's shout at all.

In the VIP hall, even Bibi Dong frowned.

She had always believed Luo Ling to be composed and soft-spoken, never one to act out of measure. Yet now, even she felt a flicker of fear seeing the aura he radiated.

"Stop it!" Flender couldn't stand it any longer. He rushed up onto the stage, his Owl-Cat Martial Soul erupting forth, wings spreading wide as he charged straight at Luo Ling.

Seven spirit rings rose sharply beneath his feet.

A Spirit Saint—his sudden appearance stunned the entire audience.

Even Director Ao, who had been ready to intervene, froze in place. A Spirit Saint was far beyond his ability to handle.

None of the major figures in the VIP box tried to stop him either.

If a Spirit King couldn't defeat the Warlock… what about a Spirit Saint?

All eyes turned to the arena. Everyone wanted to see how the Warlock would respond.

Yet the Warlock still didn't move. But the darkness beside him did.

The obsidian shadow leapt forward, appearing before Flender in an instant to block his way.

Flender stopped abruptly, his expression dark as his gaze fell upon the Warlock—still gripping Tang San's head with an indifferent calm.

"Warlock! Our Shrek Team surrenders! Release Tang San at once—or don't blame me for what happens next!"

His enraged shouts echoed across the arena. But in response, the Crow Shadow Puppet struck!

By now, Luo Ling had finished deciphering the Xuantian Record. He immediately split the puppet from himself, exiting Spirit Fusion Mode.

He did not summon the Shadow Scythe; instead, he manipulated his dark threads in midair, weaving them into a gleaming black spear.

The Crow Shadow Puppet gripped the weapon and lunged toward Flender.

A Spirit King fighting a Spirit Saint should have been a hopeless matchup.

But the puppet was reinforced by Soul Liberation, the Soul Garment of Desire, and its newly awakened fifth soul skill—Malevolent Aura!

A chilling, oppressive energy erupted from its form, flooding the entire arena.

An indiscriminate debuff—reducing all physical and spiritual attributes by 50%!

Then another layer of pure darkness descended as the puppet's domain bloomed—Abyss Without Light!

Flender's expression turned grim; his movements suddenly grew heavy. His power had been sapped by another 20%.

"A… domain?"

The nobles in the VIP seats were dumbstruck, gazing at the dark figure on stage.

"Two domains," Ning Fengzhi murmured, adjusting his glasses. "One must come from a domain-type soul skill, while the other is a true field domain."

Even Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo exchanged shocked looks. "This boy… he's a monster," one of them muttered.

On the platform, Flender was visibly shaken.

A forty-sixth-level Soul King possessing such terrifying power, enough to force a Spirit Saint to struggle under dual domains—it was almost unbelievable.

Within that cascading darkness, the Warlock still stood motionless, holding Tang San's head, completely disregarding the Spirit Saint before him.

"Kid, I admit your power is impressive," Flender growled. "But don't underestimate what a Spirit Saint can do!"

His seventh spirit ring flared brilliantly.

Seventh Soul Skill: Owl-Cat True Form!

A massive hybrid beast unfolded its wings—sharp, feral, and majestic. Flender's body now bristled with lethal strength, every ability significantly amplified.

Then, his third spirit ring pulsed with green light.

That soul skill enabled him to perceive the weaknesses of his opponent—and exploit them to deliver fatal blows.

A perfect countermeasure, or so he thought—until his eyes locked onto the Crow Shadow Puppet.

All he could see was black.

A void.

The puppet had no weak points. Not one.

Flender's heart pounded. He could hardly believe it—and quickly activated his fourth ring instead.

He beat his massive wings, sending a wave of wind blades slicing toward the puppet while his first and second rings lit up in succession.

His speed skyrocketed. Like a dart of light, he dove toward the Warlock himself.

The slicing winds struck the puppet, blasting it backward. Though unharmed, the attack opened a split-second window of opportunity.

Flender seized it—his massive claws gleamed with energy as he dove at the Warlock, talons poised to tear him apart.

But in that same instant, Luo Ling shifted. He grabbed the unconscious Tang San's body and held it up as a shield.

No one expected it—an utterly shameless move.

Yet effective.

Flender's eyes widened in shock and horror. He poured all his strength into halting midair, barely stopping his strike before impaling Tang San.

At that moment, a subtle, unseen energy rippled around him.

His mind abruptly dulled, his spirit dimmed.

The Domain of Desire – Realm of the Mind activated, suppressing both his soul and spiritual power.

The world felt heavier. His wings drooped slightly.

Though soul suppression was less noticeable than physical hindrance, it drastically disrupted fighting focus and control.

A warrior without clear thought could never fight effectively.

Flender was no exception.

Seeing the faltering man before him, Luo Ling finally moved.

His crimson eyes burned brighter.

Desire Soul's Fourth Skill – Mind Stripping!

Flender, already spiritually weakened, had no way to resist.

Within Luo Ling's inner sight, the threads of Flender's spirit shimmered—then detonated.

A thunderbolt of pain ripped through Flender's skull. His body convulsed, his consciousness torn away.

The massive Owl-Cat form collapsed instantly, revealing Flender's human body.

Now kneeling weakly on the floor, his eyes were empty—completely devoid of life's spark.

Then, under everyone's stunned gaze, the Spirit Saint fell forward, motionless.

Luo Ling watched quietly. He had shown mercy—only shattering Flender's spiritual threads.

A few months of recovery, and the man would live.
