Chapter 77 - Chapter 76 : Kakashi's being rejected by his teammates."

Their homes were no longer in the same direction.

Obito could only let it go.

He headed down another path. His grandmother had asked him to buy groceries.

The two parted ways.

Nohara Rin walked for about fifteen minutes before hesitating and turning toward Raizen's house.

She wanted to see Kakashi.

But they no longer shared common ground.

The only way to find a topic was to ask Raizen more about Lightning Release.

"But… why can't I learn it?"

Nohara Rin opened her soft white palm.

She could explain the theory perfectly.

But when it came to practice, she was hopeless.

Yesterday she had taken an early aptitude test at Konoha Hospital. The medical ninja there said she had good potential, with Yang Release affinity and decent chakra control.

After graduation, she could train directly at the hospital, become a full-time medical ninja, and join the system.

But Rin had refused.

She didn't want to be stuck in the hospital every day as an institutionalized medical ninja.

Carrying her worries, Nohara Rin entered the Uchiha compound.

"Is that Rin?"

Obito, carrying groceries, spotted a familiar figure in the distance.

He squinted, trying to see more clearly.

"It's… Rin."

Obito was stunned.

And that direction was… Raizen's house.

His heart sank.

Just now, Rin had said goodbye and headed toward her own home.

So why had she suddenly come here?

If Rin was going to Raizen's, it should have been on his way too—his grocery store was in the Uchiha district.

But why had Rin lied?

Obito didn't know if it was a last-minute decision or if she had deliberately deceived him.

He just felt suffocated.

Last time he saw Rin at Raizen's house, it looked like she was about to be taken advantage of.

When he rushed in to save her, she hadn't praised him at all. Instead, she seemed resentful.

Was Uchiha Raizen really that great?

Obito gripped the grocery bag tightly. Veins bulged on his wrist from the force.

"You're here again, Rin."

Raizen stopped training and brewed Rin a cup of tea.

Nohara Rin politely accepted it and took a sip. The taste was a little strange.

"Is this tea prepared using the method from the Land of Lightning, Raizen-kun?"

"Yeah, I'm used to it. If you don't like it, I'll adjust next time."

Raizen said.

He had lived there for years. Many of his habits and skills came from the Land of Lightning.

Having relied on neighbors for survival since childhood, Raizen was good at reading people.

"No, it's fine. It tastes good."

Nohara Rin shook her head.

"Something on your mind?"

Raizen asked.

"Mm."

Nohara Rin nodded lightly, cradling the teacup. Her reflection shimmered on the surface as it rippled.

She told him about Kakashi.

"Kakashi's being rejected by his teammates."

Raizen wasn't surprised.

It was precisely because Kakashi kept being rejected by teammates that, after several rounds, he ended up on a team with Obito and Rin.

Otherwise, why would an early graduate like Kakashi be grouped with them?

"Today I'll explain the relationship between Lightning Release and chakra points."

Raizen handed Rin some notes—his own speculations about ninjutsu.

Rin's talent wasn't weak. She simply lacked Lightning Release affinity, so she couldn't perform nature transformation in that area.

If she trained for ten years—or even a few—she would eventually develop it.

Chakra exists in every person, but it reacts differently to various nature transformations.

Just like people's appearances—each one unique.

Raizen's discussions with Nohara Rin benefited him greatly, as they explored the possibilities of new ninjutsu together.

Many techniques were still in development.

The current ninja world was facing an unprecedented upheaval.

New ninjutsu emerged like bamboo shoots after rain.

For thousands of years during the Warring States period, the great clans fought endlessly.

The average shinobi lifespan was only thirty years. Every morning, the first question was whether they would survive the day.

Training was strictly clan-based; civilian ninja could only pick up scraps on their own.

Apart from kekkei genkai and secret techniques, there were very few ninjutsu.

From armored shoulder guards to the lighter chainmail of today, the era of clashing cold steel with ninjutsu as support had passed. Mobility and agility were now prioritized.

More powerful ninjutsu had been developed as primary offensive tools. The correct approach was to evade; tanking damage head-on was a last resort.
