He better not say Roma. For some reason, my brain wouldn't stop chanting it. He's going to say Roma. He's going to bring Roma. Because Roma is better. Roma knows how to talk to people. Roma knows how to smile. Roma knows how to be what Kastiel needs.
The thoughts circled in my head like vultures, picking at everything I had been trying to hold together. Roma would walk into that dinner party and everyone would love him. They would see how perfect he was, how effortlessly he fit into Kastiel's world. They would whisper to each other, Why isn't he the consort? Why did Kastiel choose that quiet tutor when he could have this?
Roma wouldn't cause any issues. He would know how to move with the elites. How to talk to them, how to make them smile, how to make them feel important. He was also very cute, and that gave him a likeable personality. People wanted to be around him. They wanted to talk to him. They wanted to be seen with him.
