Chapter 181 - Chapter 181: Levi: I’m Angry!

'Are Kallen's descendants this fierce?'

Yae Sakura watched the 'Theresa' who charged straight at the pseudo-Herrscher, her small mouth slightly open.

'Confirmed! This girl really is that woman's descendant!'

The black shadow looked at the Judah in her hands and shrank back a little.

The two of them had the same genes.

Violent genes.

And her appearance, compared to the woman in memory… maybe not exactly identical, but clearly cut from the same mold.

"Judah!"

"Die die die!"

Golden chains shot out from the unfolded Judah, clashing with the pseudo-Herrscher's thorny vines in midair.

Levi seized the opportunity, grabbed the chains, swung Judah like a meteor hammer, and smashed it toward the pseudo-Herrscher in the distance.

Meanwhile, he used Judah's weight to launch himself straight into the air.

Crack!

Looking at the pseudo-Herrscher ahead, Levi moved his thoughts and two spears popped out from Judah, which he grabbed in his hands.

After a quick aim, he threw one spear at her. While she was busy defending against Judah's chain attacks and the incoming spear, Levi kicked off the ground and rushed toward her at high speed.

From the brief exchange just now, he had already figured out her role.

A long-range mage.

And what do mages fear most? Gods?

Isn't it someone like Theresa, a super-strength girl… ahem, someone like Theresa, a warrior getting up close?

Once he got close, with how fragile she looked, she'd probably be done with one punch.

Levi swung the spear, cutting through the thorns blocking his path, but neglected to guard his back.

The sound of soil breaking came from behind. Thorny vines covered in poison spikes stabbed toward the weakest parts of the human body.

Clatter! Clatter!

The sound of chains twisting rang out. Levi heard it and, seeing that the attack never landed on him, immediately understood.

He looked at the figure wrapped up like a silkworm cocoon by the thorns.

"Pierce through!"

"..."

His feet touched the ground. The earlier noise was gone, leaving only faint breathing echoing in the space.

The thorns withered one by one and fell to the ground. Levi looked at the girl in front of him with her head lowered.

There was a blood-stained patch on her chest.

His hand had been steady. He had only destroyed her pseudo-Herrscher core and hadn't killed her.

Pseudo-Herrscher Yuna, he knew a little about her.

Levi reached out and patted her head. The withered thorns around them trembled slightly, trying to attack him again.

Unfortunately, without the pseudo-Herrscher core's power, she was just an ordinary person with slightly higher Honkai resistance.

"Now, you're safe…", Levi's voice was very gentle, full of warmth.

Hearing that gentle voice, Yae Sakura bit her lip hard behind him. "She really is… just like Kallen."

"She's already dead. Stop living in your fantasies all day, Yae Sakura!"

The black shadow continued to strike at her.

Its beast eyes stared at Levi, holding a trace of vigilance.

After mocking Yae Sakura, perhaps afraid of being noticed by Levi, it turned into black mist and disappeared.

"I… I'm safe?"

Without the Honkai's interference, much of the negativity in Yuna's heart faded. Hearing Levi's gentle words, she looked dazed.

Levi nodded.

Yuna lifted her head and revealed a faint smile, "Thank you… did you really think I would say that?!"

Her expression instantly turned ferocious. She grabbed the spear that had fallen nearby and thrust it straight toward Levi's chest.

Clatter! Clatter!

The sound of chains rang out again. The end with the spear tip pierced through her body instead, blocking the attack for Levi.

Blood sprayed several meters behind her. For the first time, Levi felt that bright red color was so blinding.

There was no anger on his face from being attacked, nor relief that the attack had been blocked.

Instead, he looked at her with a complicated gaze.

Her eyes were clean and pure, without any negative emotion.

She had only used this method to seek death.

With trembling hands, she returned the spear to Levi.

"I'm sorry, and… thank you."

Thud!

That final sentence used up all her strength. She fell to the ground, becoming a cold corpse.

Looking at the joy on her face, Levi showed neither sadness nor happiness.

"Um, are you okay?", Theresa asked with concern.

"I'm fine…"

Levi rubbed his cheeks and showed a row of big white teeth. "What could possibly be wrong with me!"

"Ka… miss, please accept my condolences."

Yae Sakura stepped forward to comfort him.

She had seen everything clearly just now. If he was as kind as Kallen, this kind of blow really wasn't something ordinary people could handle.

"Mm, I'm fine."

"..."

'That didn't look fine at all.'

Feeling the Honkai energy inside her body seeming to disappear, and seeing the golden spears appearing around them, Yae Sakura's eye twitched slightly.

The nun outfit on his body fluttered without wind, making loud rustling sounds.

"Judah."

Levi's voice was a little cold. "Let's clean up the Honkai in Nagazora City."

After saying that, he left with Judah. Before leaving, he glanced at the corpse on the ground, and Judah's chains flew out on their own.

They quickly dug a pit, rolled up the body, and gently placed it inside.

Finally, they placed the thorns on top as her tombstone.

As if it felt it had done something wrong.

"I wasn't blaming you."

After giving the special tombstone in the center a deep look, he turned and walked outside.

He had seen plenty of death. That night with the Medicine King's Secret Transmission, how many people had he and Kiana killed?

It was just that this time, he felt a bit upset.

"This is probably proof that I'm still human…", Levi muttered.

Walking out of the building and into the sunlight outside.

"At least I haven't turned into a cold-blooded monster yet. That counts as good news."

———

On the aircraft, Himeko, who had been worried about Theresa's safety, finally relaxed when she saw her walk out of the building.

But the next second, she was dumbfounded.

"Judah! Zeroth Rated Power! Divine Grace Barrier, deploy!"

A golden circular barrier instantly spread across Nagazora City. Inside the barrier, Honkai energy rapidly disappeared.

For Honkai beasts and zombies that relied on Honkai energy for life, this was undoubtedly a catastrophic disaster.

Judah's Divine Grace Barrier didn't just target Honkai energy. Even other forms of energy were weakened inside the barrier.

Himeko grabbed the handrail beside her. The aircraft pilot started pulling the control stick with all his strength, betting his career as a pilot as he desperately tried to stabilize the aircraft.

At least so it wouldn't crash into a building.

Fortunately, the pilot's skills were solid, and he managed to land the aircraft safely on top of a building.

Walking down from the aircraft, Himeko looked at the still-expanding barrier, her face full of confusion.

"What kind of madness is Theresa up to now…"

And also, "Was Judah's Divine Grace Barrier always this big?"

It looked like it was about to cover the entire Nagazora City.

This seemed a bit different from what the textbooks said.

Before they even had time to scream, the Honkai beasts and zombies caught inside the Divine Grace Barrier collapsed and dissipated.

Yae Sakura, who had been following behind, dropped to one knee. As a pseudo-Herrscher, her body was full of Honkai energy.

Inside this kind of barrier that rejected Honkai, although she wouldn't die like Honkai beasts, it still didn't feel good.

She raised her head to look at the small figure in front of her, her pink eyes filled with shock.

"..."
