Poseidon looked at the boy in mild disbelief.
He then began to circle him slowly, examining him from all angles, as if trying to confirm for himself that this was indeed the boy he knew.
He looked at his massive physique.
Then at his arms.
Then at his boyish face.
And then...
Poseidon raised his hand and lightly smacked the boy's head, then burst into laughter.
"Oh, of course! You've awakened your power!"
Poseidon laughed sarcastically, shaking his head.
"Hahaha!"
The boy offered a faint, wry smile, unfazed by Poseidon's behavior.
He looked at the Lord and said:
"You are right, Lord Poseidon."
He paused for a moment.
"I have awakened my potential, and the power I unlocked is the energy of strength."
No sooner had the boy said that...
Than he raised his hand.
Then clenched it into a fist.
And in the next moment...
He threw a powerful punch into the air.
Whoosh!
Fierce winds erupted from his fist, blasting in all directions with tremendous force.
Leaves were blown from the trees, stones rolled across the ground, and even the tree branches shook violently under the wind's impact.
Poseidon stood watching the spectacle with obvious delight.
A broad smile spread across his face, and he said admiringly:
"What power!"
He stared at the boy for a few moments, then fell deep in thought.
And then...
A sly smile appeared on his face.
"Hmm..."
He looked at the boy and said:
"How about we play a little game?"
But Poseidon didn't wait to hear the answer.
Suddenly, he grabbed the boy by the neck and shot up into the sky at incredible speed.
"Wait, My Lord!"
Poseidon ignored his protests, continuing his flight until they reached a secluded area in the forest—a place he knew very well.
The two landed in front of a dark cave.
Poseidon pointed at the cave and said with feigned seriousness:
"In there, inside that cave, is a dangerous monster."
He then looked at the boy.
"And no one except adults, or those who have perfectly mastered their newly awakened power, can defeat it."
He paused for a moment, then said:
"Defeat the monster lurking inside, and bring me its head."
The boy looked at Poseidon in bewilderment.
He furrowed his brows in annoyance, then said:
"Excuse me, Lord Poseidon, but I will not do that."
Raising his head slightly, he added in a firm tone:
"I only take orders from the Lord of Asgard, the Father of Gods, Odin, Lord of the Sky."
The boy said this with pride and dignity, then turned around as if to leave.
But Poseidon did not like that one bit.
He quickly reached out and grabbed the boy by the head.
Then he snapped angrily:
"I wasn't asking you, you annoying brat!"
And with a single swift motion...
He hurled the boy inside the cave.
"Go!"
Poseidon then stood before the entrance of the cave, muttering in annoyance:
"And I am Odin's brother! You should, at the very least, show me some respect..."
He then crossed his arms and stared into the cave.
"Hmph... foolish child."
As Poseidon stood there, little did he know that the game he had so casually started would turn into something far more thrilling than he could have ever anticipated.
Meanwhile, inside the cave...
The son of Thor was preparing to face the monster he had been forced to confront against his will.
