Chapter 163 - Chapter 164: Chaos and Riot

Finn leveled his spear, his sharp gaze sweeping over the Ikelos mob. He had expected a simple protection detail, but discovering a link to the Evilus changed things. The Great Feud was still a fresh wound; even high-level adventurers remembered it as a miracle they survived. That disaster had leveled buildings and killed gods. Anything involving the Evilus meant dealing with heartless madmen.

"Everyone, drop your weapons! This is your final warning!" Finn's voice boomed.

But the thugs were desperate. They stood their ground, despite knowing they couldn't win against three Level 6s. One middle-aged man shouted, "Finn! What right do you have to attack us?"

Finn pointed his spear at the remains on the floor. "Possessing a Spirit Soldier. Is that reason enough?"

Regardless of a direct link to the Evilus, creating Spirit Soldiers was a universal taboo. The man gritted his teeth. "We... we found that! You can't prove anything!"

Finn looked at Lady Astraea. She simply said, "He is lying."

The thugs' faces darkened. Who is stupid enough to lie in front of a god? It was a silent admission of guilt. Now, there was no choice but to fight.

"Dix!" the executives shouted.

Dix, though battered by Ryu, had recovered enough to move. His face was pale, but he could still cast. "I know!" he snarled. "Lose yourselves in the endless nightmare—Phobetor Daedalus!"

"Magic coming! Brace yourselves!" Finn warned. It was an ultra-short chant; there was no time to interrupt it.

An eerie red light exploded from Dix, expanding violently. Those touched by the crimson veil, including several Loki members, felt their eyes turn bloodshot. A surge of mindless violence and madness took over, and they began to lose their reason. Those with the "Abnormal Resistance" ability were unaffected, but at least half of the lower-level Loki members fell into confusion, attacking those nearest to them.

Rumble!

It didn't stop there. The sound of a thousand hooves shaking the earth echoed through the tunnel. Endless shadows appeared—a massive horde of Dungeon monsters: Minotaurs, Walrus, Almiraj... a flood of middle and lower-floor monsters.

During his fight with Ryu, Dix hadn't used magic because his power wasn't destructive—it was a curse. It invaded the minds of adventurers and monsters alike, driving them into a berserk riot.

"Move out, boys! Retreat!" Dix shouted.

While the monsters and the confused Loki members stalled the elites, the high-level Ikelos members began to flee, abandoning their lower-level comrades as pawns.

"Riveria, your magic! Bete, Gareth, clear the monsters!" Finn barked. The Loki Familia moved with perfect discipline.

"Gather now, breath of the earth—My name is Alf, the Mirage of Life!" Riveria unleashed her magic. Unlike Roy's version, hers was on a divine scale. A shimmering veil of colorful light covered every member of the Loki Familia. The protective light not only boosted their power but acted as a shield for those in confusion, ensuring no one could harm them while they were incapacitated.A single High Mage can dominate an entire battlefield, and Riveria was proving it.

The Loki Familia began systematically sweeping the underground passage, clearing out both monsters and the remaining Ikelos thugs. It was no longer a fight, but a one-sided slaughter. This was the overwhelming power and prestige of the strongest Familia in Orario. In terms of unity, no one could rival them—not even the Freya Familia. Just the sight of Finn and the others was enough to shatter the Ikelos members' morale.

Upon hearing the confirmation that the Ikelos Familia was linked to the Evilus, Ryu joined the vanguard. With her Level 5 combat power, she tore through the opposition like a scythe through wheat. Roy, Astraea, Daphne, and Cassandra remained in the rear.

A shimmering veil of colorful light—cast by Riveria—enveloped Roy's group. This protective barrier was strong enough to withstand the strikes of monsters from the 50th floor of the Dungeon, meaning the Loki Familia didn't even need to waste personnel guarding Roy and the Goddess.

Roy watched the battle while leaning back to recover. He had no interest in joining the fray; fighting the Spirit Soldier had nearly drained him to his limit. Besides, if he still had to do the heavy lifting, those 150 million Valis would have been a waste of money.

Suddenly, Cassandra tugged on Roy's sleeve. "Mr. Roy... I have something to tell you!"
