The monsters flew rapidly towards the members of the party, one of them even attempting to take one of the adventurers, but was shot down by an arrow to the neck, making it fall to the ground as it screeched.
THUD!
"Are you alright!?" The archer shouted.
"Y-yes, thank you!" The man replied.
The party continued to fight the wyverns, but some fighters couldn't get within reach of them due to the fact that they are flying monsters.
"Shit!"
"We can't reach them with our weapons!" One of the adventurers said as a one of the monsters flew at him from behind, forcing him to the ground. As he screamed for help, a hammer swung at the beast on top of him, sending it flying into a nearby tree, killing it on impact.
"Stop being distracted, Jobo!" Yerva shouted at him.
"S-sorry!" the man said as he quickly got back up.
As the fight went on, Clad had already cut down three of the monsters. Not seeing an end to this, he wondered to himself if the numbers said on the quest were wrong or miscalculated, as they took down five, but he was seeing at least thirty of them in the air. He swung his hand towards the flock of wyverns, releasing a wide arc of energy with great speed, killing 3 on impact and wounding a few.

"Nice one, Clad!" Adonis said as one of the monsters flew to him, with him quickly taking care of it by sending out a punch infused with aura, making a clean hole through its body.
[SHOTGUN FIST]!
Although the party seemed to handle the situation well, the number of wyverns didn't dwindle for some unknown reason; if anything, they only increased in numbers. Yerva noticed this and commanded her party to run away from the flock of wyverns that were chasing them from above. As the group ran away to deeper parts of the forest, one of the adventurers was taken away by the wyverns as her body was eaten.
"Shit, they got our healer!"
"No time for tears, Nathan, scan the area for hiding spots!" Yerva shouted to him as they ran.
"Got it!"
[ECHOLOCATION]!
Nathan used his scouting ability as he ran through the heavy forest, allowing him to see the surrounding area. With every second he took to locate a hiding spot, the wyverns rapidly closed the gap between them, but when everything seemed grim, he located one.
"I found one!"

"Great, in what direction!" Another party member asked.
"Left!" He shouted as the party quickly turned left to see a cave. They didn't hesitate and ran to the cave in an attempt to lose the wyverns outside. As they were about to calm down and relax, a wyvern rushed at the entrance, trying to eat the adventurers, but it was too small for its entire body to pass, and it violently struggled to get inside when the entrance fell on it, killing it and sealing the entrance with rubble and a corpse.

"Great, now we're stuck here!" Adonis complained while Clad noticed a small gap inside the cave's dark walls through which light escaped. Seeing this, Clad punched the area near the hole, revealing that the cave was deeper than they thought, as a lapis blue room was exposed.
"What the hell?" Clad silently said as he went through the crack, before Jill called for him, saying that she would be joining him, but Yerva noticed the two found what seemed to be a secret path in the cave and decided to join them, as she thought staying in the small cave would be pointless.
"Team, follow us!" She shouted.
"Yes, ma'am!" They replied in unison as they followed the three into the unknown place in front of them.
