Chapter 34 - Chapter 34:The Night Everything Changed

Five Years Ago

The noise of the market slowly faded into the evening.

Shops were closing… people were leaving… and the once-crowded streets grew quiet.

Aviraj and Anvi walked side by side, carrying shopping bags.

Aviraj let out a tired sigh.

"Anvi… how do you take this long just for shopping? Master Sidharth is going to be really angry."

Anvi smiled softly.

"Shopping always takes time, Aviraj. And Master won't say anything."

Aviraj shook his head.

"You don't know him… I'm definitely getting scolded today."

Scene Shift – Master Sidharth's House

The gate opened.

"Master! We're back!"

Suddenly—

Master Sidharth rushed out, clearly upset.

"Aviraj! Where were you all this time?!"

Aviraj quickly replied,

"Master, we were just shop—"

THAK!

A light hit landed on his head.

"You call this 'just shopping'?!" Master said.

Aviraj immediately pointed at Anvi.

"Master, she was the one shopping!"

Master narrowed his eyes.

"Hiding behind her now?"

Then his tone softened as he looked at Anvi.

"Anvi beta, you're usually quick. It must be his fault."

Aviraj froze.

"Sir… I didn't even do anything…"

Anvi couldn't stop herself from laughing.

Scene Shift – Night

The three of them sat together for dinner.

Master asked,

"Did you complete today's training?"

Anvi nodded.

"Yes sir, I completed mine."

Slowly, Master looked at Aviraj.

"And you?"

Aviraj went silent.

"…Sir… I forgot."

THAK!

Another hit.

"Go. Finish your training first."

Aviraj rushed out immediately.

After some time…

He returned, completely exhausted.

His breathing was heavy.

"Master… can I eat now…?"

Anvi laughed at his condition.

One Year Later

Rain poured heavily through the night.

Master Sidharth sat quietly, reading a book.

Suddenly—

A student came running in.

"Master! Please come quickly! Aviraj is fighting someone!"

Master stood up immediately.

Scene Shift – Battlefield

Rain crashed down around them.

Anvi lay unconscious on the ground.

A man stood there, holding her.

Aviraj faced him, anger burning in his eyes.

"Let her go!"

At that moment—

Master arrived.

"Aviraj, step back."

He moved forward and entered the fight.

They clashed.

DHAM!

The man's attack connected—

But in the very next moment—

Anvi was no longer in his hands.

Master had already moved her to safety.

The man grew furious and charged again—

But Master responded instantly.

His strikes came fast and precise, forcing the man back.

The man was pushed away and struggled to stand.

"This isn't over… I'll come back for revenge!"

And then—

He disappeared into the rain.

Master turned to Aviraj.

"Aviraj… what happened here?"

Aviraj replied, breathing heavily,

"Master… Anvi accidentally bumped into him… he got angry…

She even apologized… but he tried to take her…

So I fought him…"

Master nodded slowly.

"…I understand."

Three Days Later – Night

The house was calm.

Aviraj and Master were playing chess.

Anvi sat nearby, reading quietly.

Then—

A strange sound echoed.

Master's expression turned serious.

"Stay back. Both of you."

He stepped forward.

BOOOOM!!!

A powerful explosion shattered the wall.

Debris scattered everywhere.

All three were thrown back.

Aviraj struggled to stand.

Pain surged through his body.

"Summon… Xytherion!"

A dark shadow emerged.

"Protect Anvi!"

Xytherion moved instantly, shielding her.

Anvi fell unconscious.

On the other side—

Master stood up, mostly unharmed.

But Aviraj—

He was injured and losing strength.

They stepped forward—

And saw them.

The same man from before.

And someone else standing beside him.

Dust covered his face…

But slowly…

It cleared.

Cold eyes.

A calm yet dangerous presence.

A faint smile.

"Remember my name…"

"Killer Ghost… Kaito Kurogane."

Master stepped forward.

"Why are you here?"

Kaito let out a quiet laugh.

"You defeated one of my men."

"I came for revenge."

His gaze shifted toward Anvi.

"And I'll be taking that girl."

Aviraj stepped forward in anger.

"You'll have to defeat me first!"

But Master stopped him.

"No, Aviraj."

"I was the one who defeated him."

"This is my fight."

He stepped forward alone.

Aviraj's vision blurred.

His strength faded.

He collapsed unconscious.

Kaito looked at Master.

"You really think you can defeat me?"

Master replied calmly,

"Maybe not…"

"…but I will protect my students."

And then—

The fight began.

Fast.

Direct.

Hand-to-hand.

Master struck first—

A strong blow that pushed Kaito back.

Kaito wiped his mouth and smiled.

"You still have strength…"

"…but time has caught up to you."

A heavy strike followed.

Master was pushed back.

He steadied himself, but the impact was clear.

Still—

He stood again.

Refusing to fall.

Kaito watched him quietly.

"You're a good man…"

"…but this is where it ends."

He moved forward—

And overwhelmed Master with a series of powerful strikes.

Master struggled to keep up.

His body weakened.

With the last of his strength, he spoke—

"Kaito… if you want revenge… take it on me…"

"…but let them go…"

Kaito paused.

Then smiled.

"You're right…"

"…but this started because of them."

One final strike.

Master's body fell to the ground.

Unconscious.

Kaito turned—

And began walking toward Anvi.

Xytherion stepped forward.

Silent.

Powerful.

Unshaken.

Ready to fight.

Episode Ends.
