To prevent Thanos from escaping aboard one of the flesh-and-metal vessels, Harry seized the opportunity to open the Mirror Dimension and dragged the entire fleet inside.
He immediately stopped holding back and swung his wand. An enormous amount of magical power gathered before him, forming a colossal runic matrix.
This was not a Disintegration Spell. It was a new form of soul-targeting magic Harry had developed.
The spell was based on the principles of Reiatsu. It condensed reishi into a tangible torrent that could pulverize every soul in its path.
Because the spell did not affect physical matter and targeted only souls, it would be especially convenient to use while defending an allied base.
Harry floated before the ships as the reishi torrent gathering at the tip of his wand condensed into a silver-white sphere. Tiny arcs of electricity danced along its edges, crackling like imprisoned lightning.
Once the sphere reached its maximum intensity, Harry slashed his wand downward. The reishi torrent transformed into a sharp arrow of light that instantly pierced the membrane covering the nearest flesh vessel.
The moment it made contact, the veins across the vessel's surface tightened violently. Pale-pink fluid instantly solidified along the arrow's path, forming a grayish-white shell.
The hardened shell spread outward at a visible speed. The pulsating flesh rapidly lost its luster, resembling rotting meat from which every trace of life had been drained. Its once-living pinkish-brown surface faded to lifeless gray, while the raised veins shriveled and collapsed against the hull like hideous scars.
A series of muffled explosions followed from inside the vessel. Countless small chunks of grayish-white matter erupted from the hole created by the reishi torrent, carrying fragments of solidified fluid into space, where they scattered like frozen dust.
The vents that had previously exhaled white mist now leaked only cloudy gray-black liquid. It flowed slowly across the outer hull, leaving filthy streaks behind.
The vessel's pulsing stopped completely. Its once-rippling surface became rigid and flat, resembling a gigantic mass of frozen flesh. Only the faint silver-white glow left by the reishi torrent continued flickering around the edges of the opening, making the dead gray flesh appear even more lifeless.
Harry remained suspended in place and watched the enormous creature deteriorate from a living organism into an inert wreck. He nodded in satisfaction.
The new spell was impressively powerful. It would be particularly useful against opponents like the Hulk, whose bodies were extraordinarily strong while their souls represented a comparatively vulnerable target.
Residual waves from the reishi torrent continued spreading across the vessel's surface as faint patterns of light. Every flicker transformed more flesh into grayish-white matter.
Eventually, the final trace of pink disappeared. The entire vessel became a corpse encased in a hardened gray shell, floating silently in the dark-purple depths of space without the slightest sign of life.
After destroying the first vessel, Harry did not stop attacking. His wand lit up once again.
Unlike his previous probing strike, the silver-white radiance of the reishi torrent was now far more intense. Instead of forming a sharp arrow, it became a surging river of light that poured from his wand and swept toward the nearby flesh flagship.
The flagship was several times larger than the vessel Harry had just destroyed. Thick layers of dark-red muscle covered its surface, while dozens of massive fleshy pillars waved around it like tentacles. A cloudy compound eye opened at the tip of each pillar and locked onto Harry. Slime continuously dripped along the muscle fibers, solidifying into tiny droplets of blood in space.
The aura emitted by this vessel alone had already reached the Skyfather level. Even Odin would have needed some time to deal with it.
However, Harry was currently advancing toward universal-level strength. He needed only one attack to destroy the flagship, no differently from how he had eliminated the smaller vessel.
The reishi torrent moved with astonishing speed. The white river of light was about to strike the flagship when a purple-and-black figure suddenly shot out in front of it.
Thanos stood in the depths of space wearing his Titan armor.
The armor reflected a cold metallic sheen beneath the distant starlight, while the Infinity Gauntlet on his right hand radiated equally powerful waves of energy.
Harry froze when he sensed Thanos's aura. The Titan was only a single step away from becoming a universal-level being, yet the Thanos Harry remembered had never possessed anything close to this degree of power.
Harry then detected the same higher-dimensional energies within Thanos that flowed through the flesh components of the fleet. Each originated from a different Dimensional Demon God.
"So this is the work of those rats again," Harry muttered disdainfully. "I'll deal with them sooner or later."
Although Harry sounded relaxed, he had to admit that the current Thanos could cause him considerable trouble.
Thanos stood before the flesh flagship. He made no unnecessary movements, merely raising one hand toward the approaching river of reishi and releasing a dark-red energy barrier from his palm.
The instant silver-white and dark red collided, the impact produced a shock wave that spread in every direction, pulverizing the floating gray fragments around them.
The river of reishi churned violently against the barrier. Countless silver-white particles battered the dark-red surface but could not advance even an inch.
The particles shattered against the barrier like raindrops striking solid stone, dissolving into tiny points of light.
Thanos's arm did not move in the slightest. A mocking smile appeared on his face.
"A wizard's petty tricks end here."
He lowered his wrist slightly, then thrust out his hand and fired a beam of purple energy. The beam surged backward along the path of the reishi torrent and rushed toward Harry.
The purple energy appeared to possess a powerful corrosive property. The moment it collided with the reishi river, the entire torrent was stained dark purple. Its silver-white light rapidly dimmed like a candle flame on the verge of being consumed.
Seeing this, Harry dispelled the reishi torrent and teleported several dozen yards to the side, avoiding Thanos's attack.
That had been power from the Dark Dimension.
Damn Dormammu. He truly never learned.
Had finding allies made him bolder than before?
He was no longer even bothering to conceal the forces he was cultivating against Earth.
Having gained the upper hand during their brief clash, Thanos became visibly more confident.
All the frustration he had accumulated from being suppressed by Harry over the years disappeared. Using energy vibrations to carry his voice through space, he roared, "Harry Potter, you fraudulent weakling! Is that all the power you possess?"
Harry could not deny that the unbearably arrogant Thanos had genuinely angered him.
Without hesitation, he activated Magnetic Field Rotation within his body.
The lightning surrounding Harry suddenly intensified. Bluish-white currents wrapped around his limbs like living creatures, while every inch of his skin seemed to erupt with energy. The electrical force whipped his sorcerer's robe violently around him, and every strand of his hair stood upright, glowing with tiny arcs of electricity.
He stopped relying on his wand and instead fused his body with the lightning.
Harry kicked off against empty space and launched himself toward Thanos like an arrow released from a bow. His fist carried a piercing shriek of tearing energy as it shot directly toward the Titan's chest.
A trace of caution flashed through Thanos's eyes. He immediately sneered and raised his hand to meet the attack.
