Chapter 255 - Chapter 255: What the Hell...

Although Harry had been popular ever since he was little, he had never shown anything extraordinary about himself. At most, he was just a little handsome, a little strong, a little smart, a little rich…

Wait. Holy shit.

Looked at separately, those advantages did not mean much, but when you put them all together, it was a completely different story.

So Harry really was a superhero like Peter?

Mary Jane looked at Peter, waiting for his answer.

Peter Parker folded his arms, the corners of his mouth lifting into a smug smile as he deliberately lowered his voice and said, "Looks like you got fooled by Harry's disguise too. He isn't just that ridiculously cocky rich kid. He's also one of the most important heroes on Earth right now. He might even be the key one among them."

Mary Jane was confused at first, but after thinking for a moment, her face suddenly filled with extreme shock.

Among all the superheroes, the identities of Iron Man and Captain America had long since been confirmed. Harry could not be either of them, so that meant Harry could only be…

Peter nodded and smiled. "That's right. It's exactly what you're thinking. Say it, Jane."

"He's the Hulk!" Mary Jane said with absolute confidence.

Peter stared at her. "???"

"No, how did you come to the conclusion that Harry is the Hulk?"

Peter's reaction clearly denied her guess, and Mary Jane asked in confusion, "You said Harry is a very important member among all the superheroes, and the identities of the other superheroes have all been revealed, so Harry can only be one of the few people left, like the Hulk or the Sorcerer Supreme. But the Sorcerer Supreme is so powerful, and magic definitely isn't something easy to master, so she's probably an old person. Only an old person could have that kind of magical power. So Harry can only be the Hulk."

"Right, yes, your reasoning makes sense, but have you considered that Harry might be a genius?" Peter hesitated, then stopped. Mary Jane looked so confident that he really could not bear to crush her.

Mary Jane really was a smart girl. From Peter's tone alone, she knew she had guessed wrong.

Noticing that Peter had emphasized Harry being a genius, a possibility she had never even considered suddenly appeared in Mary Jane's mind.

"Wait. You're not trying to tell me Harry is the legendary Sorcerer Supreme, are you?"

If someone asked who the most popular superhero on Earth was right now, some people would say Iron Man, some would say the Sorcerer Supreme, and most would say Captain America, but there was no universally accepted answer.

But if someone asked who the strongest superhero on Earth was right now, everyone would answer without hesitation, "The Sorcerer Supreme. No question."

The Sorcerer Supreme had defeated the Hulk and Abomination with ease the moment he first appeared, and those two monsters were now among the top powerhouses in the Avengers.

After that, every time the Sorcerer Supreme appeared, he left behind a dazzling record.

Just the publicly known achievements included almost single-handedly resolving the Battle of New York, wiping out an alien invasion force, and completely crushing Hydra invaders from another parallel universe.

Now, everyone knew that among Earth's superheroes, the other heroes belonged on one level, while the Sorcerer Supreme belonged on another level entirely.

Some bloggers even cited all kinds of data, claiming that the Sorcerer Supreme possessed enough power to destroy Earth with ease.

What Mary Jane found impossible to believe was that Peter gently nodded.

It really was the Sorcerer Supreme!

When she had learned Peter's true identity earlier because of an accident, Mary Jane had already felt as if she were dreaming. Now, after learning that her future brother-in-law was actually the legendary Sorcerer Supreme, that dreamlike feeling returned, and it was several times stronger than before.

In her excitement, Mary Jane forgot to ask where Harry was going or which supervillain he was going to deal with. Instead, she bombarded Peter with questions. "Peter, can Harry really use magic? Can he really destroy a planet easily? Can you tell me the details of the Battle of New York?"

Peter was helpless, but he had already expected Mary Jane to react this way. Although there were many things he could not tell her because of confidentiality rules, he still picked out some things he could talk about and told her.

Those things did not even reach one tenth of Harry's true strength, but even so, Mary Jane was left stunned, her face filled with disbelief.

"Wait, you're saying he really can destroy Earth with ease, and he can even reverse time? And not long ago, he built a floating city? Oh my God, is he really human?"

Peter's expression turned complicated. "Harry is still human, of course, but calling his power 'godlike' would be more accurate."

Mary Jane froze. "!!!"

The thick night poured over the streets of New York like asphalt. Venom moved like flowing tar, pressed tight against the ground, his crimson compound eyes burning two ghostly glows in the darkness. Every lash of his tendrils against the pavement scattered sparks.

Sandman followed close behind as a twenty-foot-tall pillar of sand. The grinding of sand grains mixed with the night wind, sounding like the heavy breathing of some enormous beast.

Not long ago, Spider-Man had made a mistake and allowed them to discover his true identity. Now, they were not far from Spider-Man's home.

When they were still several hundred yards away from Spider-Man's house, Sandman suddenly stopped and hesitated. "This is crazy. Spider-Man's family is innocent."

Ahead of him, the thick black asphalt stopped and turned into a black humanoid figure. The corners of its mouth split all the way to its ears, and it let out the harsh sound of metal scraping against metal.

"Innocent? You think Spider-Man cares about innocent people? When he forced us into the sewers, he didn't care whether we lived or died."

Venom suddenly stretched out a tendril and wrapped it around Sandman's neck. His crimson eyes were almost pressed against the other man's face.

"Do you remember how desperate and helpless you were when your daughter was sick and you didn't have the money to treat her? Once we make our move this time, we'll get rid of our biggest problem for good. After that, we'll be able to get everything we want."

Just then, both of them suddenly heard a calm voice coming from above.

"Sorry, but that's not happening. You won't reach Spider-Man's house, and you won't get everything you want. Instead, I'll be sending you to prison, or somewhere else to be reformed."

Harry's gaze fell on the Sandman made of yellow sand. He paused, then continued, "I might be able to cure your daughter's illness, as long as you can catch that black slime."

Neither Venom nor Sandman was swayed by Harry's attempt to drive a wedge between them. Venom even mocked him directly.

"Oh, look who it is. Spider-Man's brother, the spoiled rich brat, Harry Potter. What can an ordinary person like you do? Save Flint's daughter? Stop lying. Forget it. I don't know where a moron like you got the confidence to show up in front of us, but we'll just capture you and use you as a hostage to force Spider-Man to surrender. Hahahahaha! Spider-Man, you wouldn't want your brother to get hurt, would you?"

Sandman said nothing. Together with Venom, he silently moved to surround Harry. Clearly, he did not believe Harry either, nor did he think Harry could save his daughter.

Rather than believe this ordinary person, he might as well believe Venom. After all, using a symbiote to save his daughter was already his last resort.

However, just as the two supervillains were preparing to attack Harry, Harry suddenly pulled out his wand and drew a beautiful magic circle in front of him.

At the sight of this, both supervillains froze and suddenly stopped. An unbelievable guess appeared in their minds.

Meanwhile, after noticing that the two of them had behaved themselves, Harry nodded. Only then did he smile at Sandman and say, "See? I'm not some so-called ordinary person."

As Harry spoke, a silver-white magical cloak covered in delicate star patterns appeared behind him, and his face was wrapped in a hazy gray mist that made it impossible to see him clearly.

After Harry finished transforming, the Sorcerer Supreme's magnetic and mysterious voice, completely different from before, rang out.

"I think you may be more familiar with this appearance. In superhero circles, everyone respectfully calls me the Sorcerer Supreme."

Sandman fell silent.

Venom fell silent.

Wait. What did you just say? You're the Sorcerer Supreme?

The Sorcerer Supreme was Harry Potter, Peter Parker's brother, and also Spider-Man's brother?

And now, they had been on their way to the Sorcerer Supreme's home to take the Sorcerer Supreme and his family hostage, only to be caught in the act by the Sorcerer Supreme himself.

Damn it. What kind of nightmare scenario was this?

Venom only thought for an instant before dodging to the side without hesitation. At that exact moment, Sandman suddenly expanded and smashed a fist toward Venom.

The rich Harry Potter naturally had no way to save his daughter, but the Sorcerer Supreme was different.

As the strongest and most mysterious superhero on Earth, he had far too many ways to save a seriously ill little girl.

That was why Sandman attacked his former ally without hesitation. He planned to defeat Venom in exchange for the Sorcerer Supreme's forgiveness, then beg him to save his daughter.

Venom had no intention of fighting Sandman either. Right now, he only wanted to escape.

Sandman was a very troublesome opponent, practically impossible to kill, and on top of that, the Sorcerer Supreme was standing nearby.

Venom had absolutely no intention of fighting the Sorcerer Supreme. He only wanted to run, the farther the better. He was even planning not to return to New York for the next few years.

Dear God, New York was way too dangerous. Was a symbiote even allowed to survive here?

The two quickly chased each other, but neither of them noticed that the surrounding environment had changed in some tiny, almost imperceptible way.

To keep them from damaging their surroundings, Harry had pulled both of them into the Mirror Dimension.

Inside the Mirror Dimension, under their chase, the two soon reached the Brooklyn Bridge. Venom's black tendrils whipped wildly between the steel cables, every arc tearing away large patches of rust.

When he looked back, Sandman was reflected in his pale white eyes, transforming into a thirty-foot-tall sand giant. Layer upon layer of sand waves erupted from the cracks in the bridge, twisting streetlight poles into sand pillars shaped like pretzels.

"Don't run!" Sandman's roar mixed with the rain as an arm made of sand swept across the bridge. Venom narrowly leaped over it, but the splashing sand still cut through his surface, making him let out a high-frequency shriek.

Under normal circumstances, Venom, focused only on running away, would definitely not be Sandman's match. But Lady Luck seemed to favor Venom. It suddenly began pouring in the real world, and the corresponding Mirror Dimension began pouring as well.

As the rain continuously soaked his entire body, Sandman became heavier and heavier, and his control over the sand rapidly weakened.

At that moment, Venom suddenly dropped from the sky and pierced straight through Sandman's chest. The remaining tendrils tore Sandman's body to pieces.

Most of Sandman's body fell into the river below and was washed away by the water. The rest of his body could not condense properly under the rain either, so he could only watch helplessly as Venom fled at high speed.

Staring at Venom's departing back, Sandman roared in unwilling fury. "No, damn it, no! Move, body! Move!"

If Venom managed to escape, how was he supposed to earn the Sorcerer Supreme's forgiveness? How was his daughter supposed to be saved?

Just as Sandman sank completely into despair, he suddenly discovered that everything around him was moving slower and slower. After only a few seconds, everything stopped completely before his eyes.

A hand suddenly patted Sandman on the shoulder, startling him.

He was not startled because a hand had appeared out of nowhere. He was shocked because he realized that he could actually feel the hand touching him.

Ever since his mutation, he had lost all sensation and completely become an elemental being.

"Not bad. You were just a little unlucky."

Sure enough, the Sorcerer Supreme's voice came from behind him. Whether it was the hand that seemed to pat his soul or the frozen scene of spacetime in front of him, all of it was the Sorcerer Supreme's doing. As expected of the strongest superhero on Earth. This kind of ability was no different from a god's.

Even though Sandman was extremely shocked, he still breathed a sigh of relief.

Receiving praise from the Sorcerer Supreme meant his daughter really had a chance to be saved.

After all these years, he had finally seen hope that his daughter could be rescued.

Harry stepped past Sandman and came to stand in front of him. He reached out slightly and closed his hand, pulling Venom straight in front of him.

Then he lightly slapped Venom, knocking him unconscious. After that, he opened a portal and temporarily locked both Venom and Sandman inside Kamar-Taj's magical cage.

Time passed quickly. Nearly a month later, Harry once again received a call from Tony.

"Harry, get over here. Ultron's research has reached the most critical point. Now we just need you here to check everything."

This had been decided long ago. When Ultron was born, Harry would oversee the process and completely prevent Ultron from going out of control.

Harry opened a portal and arrived in Tony's laboratory. Besides Tony, Dr. Banner was also there.

Seeing Harry arrive, Tony and Banner were both excited. The two hurriedly brought Harry into a room.

Tony pointed at the many instruments inside the room and said, "Look, this is Ultron's server cluster. As long as we complete the final step and continuously inject Mind Stone energy into them, Ultron will be fully complete."

Banner said the same. "We've been preparing for a long time. Nothing can go wrong. We were only waiting for you to come and oversee it."

Ultron was about to appear, which meant Hedwig's underlying program would also undergo a major evolution.

So Harry was a little excited too. He smiled and said, "Then what are we waiting for? Let's begin."

Tony pulled out a screen in front of him and swiped lightly. Immediately afterward, every instrument in the room rapidly activated.

A massive amount of mind energy was extracted from the Mind Scepter by the precision instruments and injected into Ultron's server cluster.

The mind energy fused with Ultron's program itself in another form, releasing an incredible power.

Ultron's underlying logic grew stronger and stronger, eventually becoming smarter than a human being. The most concrete sign of this was that the projected blue sphere expanded several times over.

And right then, Harry's brows furrowed slightly.

Sure enough, something had gone wrong.
