"So you used the Mind Body Switch Technique to enter my body and you still don't know who I am? Wait, what did you mean by that? Who are you calling flat-chested?!"
The girl answered on instinct at first, but quickly realized something was wrong and immediately started shouting at Harry.
Harry shook his head with a chuckle. "Obviously, whoever gets worked up first is the one I'm talking about. Wait, I just noticed something. Not only are you flat-chested, your forehead is huge too!"
"Aaaagh!" Being called big-forehead again made Sakura Haruno snap on the spot. She roared, "You bastard, just you wait! Kakashi-sensei is going to beat you flat in a minute!"
Harry leaned lazily against the tree trunk, twirling a leaf between his fingers and deliberately dragging out his words. "Oh really? I'm sooo scared."
"Aaaagh!" There was not even a trace of fear in this jerk's face, and Sakura exploded all over again.
At the same time, though, she was deeply worried about her teammates.
This hateful guy had suddenly stolen her body, and she had not been able to resist at all.
A Mind Body Switch Technique this powerful had to come from a jōnin, at minimum.
So why had a jōnin suddenly attacked her and infiltrated their squad? What exactly was he after?
More importantly, any ninja capable of using the Mind Body Switch Technique belonged to the Yamanaka clan of the Leaf, which meant this was an internal attack from within the village itself.
The more Sakura thought about it, the more terrified she became. The deeper she thought, the creepier it felt.
She could only hope Kakashi-sensei noticed soon.
Otherwise, if this guy achieved his objective, then not just Sasuke and Naruto—even the strongest one here, Kakashi-sensei, could end up in mortal danger.
So she had to find a way to drive him out.
But no matter how hard Sakura tried, she could not affect the one controlling her body in the slightest.
Gradually, she finally gave up. The unknown enemy was too powerful. She could not win, no matter how desperately she fought.
So she changed tactics and tried to gather information from the mysterious intruder instead.
"Hey, are you a ninja from the Yamanaka clan? Who sent you to attack Team 7?"
Drawing on the memories constantly drifting out of Sakura's mind, Harry perfectly reproduced every one of the girl's movements.
He set traps with ease, hunted wild animals, and even wrapped kunai exactly the way Sakura did. Every movement flowed naturally, flawlessly, without the slightest crack in the disguise.
Even that cold-faced silver-haired guy named Kakashi eventually stopped watching him so closely, assuming Sakura's earlier strange reaction had just been a sign that she was not feeling well.
So, under Sakura's nonstop harassment, Harry successfully infiltrated the squad known as Team 7.
At the same time, after observing for a while, Harry learned that this squad came from a place called the Leaf Village. They were currently carrying out a C-rank mission, the main objective being to protect the bridge builder Tazuna on his way to the Land of Waves.
Harry did not care about the mission itself. After all, now that he was here, there was no way anything unexpected would happen.
What interested him were his three teammates. Each of them carried more or less some kind of secret.
The child named Naruto, despite being blond, did not act like some flashy heartthrob at all. He was more of a lovable idiot.
His physique was ordinary, but his life force was unbelievably strong, far beyond the others. Inside him, there was even a rather powerful and evil energy that kept strengthening his body.
Based on Harry's judgment, if that energy erupted completely, it should barely reach the level of a lesser skyfather.
As for the black-haired Uchiha Sasuke, his mental power far exceeded that of an ordinary person. The structure of his eyes was also different from everyone else's, and they seemed to have some strange power permanently fused into them, one that could enhance reaction speed.
Then there was the squad leader, Kakashi. One of his eyes was somewhat similar to Sasuke's, but it also contained a special kind of spatial energy, as though it were connected to some weak little dimension.
And every single member of this team had something Harry wanted to study.
Physique, energy, mental power, space...
Harry had to admit it—this dreamwalk had been absolutely worth it.
Ever since the last time he dreamwalked, Harry had made a few adjustments to the technique and increased how long it could be sustained.
Last time, it had only lasted a few hours. This time, it could last at least a week, which should be more than enough for Harry to thoroughly study Sakura's teammates.
That day, Team 7 continued traveling.
Harry suddenly stopped observing Naruto Uzumaki. His eyes shifted slightly as he looked ahead.
Inside his mind, Sakura also noticed something strange about him. She immediately stopped yelling at him and started stomping around anxiously inside the mental space, her emerald eyes practically spitting fire.
"You bastard, look at Sasuke! He's so handsome! Why do you keep staring at Naruto instead?
That average guy with way too much confidence is going to think I like him if you keep doing that. No, no, no!"
Before she could finish, her attention was suddenly drawn by the direction Harry was looking.
Her gaze locked onto the puddle ahead.
Beneath the calm surface of the water, blue chakra had somehow become clearly visible.
Sakura's breathing instantly quickened, and all her complaints vanished on the spot.
"Wait, what is that? Why can I see chakra in that puddle?"
Harry smiled and explained, "I carved a few arrays into your eyes and reproduced part of the Sharingan's abilities.
Now not only can you see the flow of chakra, you can also catch afterimages that last one-hundredth of a second. That's way better than the motion tracking of a three-tomoe Sharingan.
And during this time, I also reconstructed your chakra pathways. Combined with these improved Sharingan abilities, even without my magic enhancement, your taijutsu, genjutsu, and chakra control are now strong enough to put you at the level of a special jōnin."
"Wait! What did you just say?" Sakura suddenly felt as if she had won the lottery. In disbelief, she said, "I can tell you're telling the truth. My body really has changed. Especially around my stomach. It feels warm and full, like something is filling it up.
That's all chakra, right?
So everything you said before was true? You're from another world, not a ninja from the Yamanaka clan?"
"Of course," Harry said calmly. "Perfect timing. There are two enemy ninja up ahead. We can use them to test the results of my research over the last two days."
With that, Harry stepped forward and moved to the front of the group, walking toward the small pool.
Behind him, Kakashi Hatake's gaze shifted slightly. Through Sakura's unusual behavior alone, he immediately realized she had already detected the two ninja hiding in ambush ahead.
His eyes soon turned thoughtful again.
Given Sakura's actual strength, she should not have been able to detect those two ninja. Could it be that the earlier sense of unease he had felt had not been wrong after all? Had the Sakura in front of them been secretly replaced somehow?
But to swap out one of his teammates right in front of him without a sound would require Kage-level strength.
And if someone at that level were standing in front of them, they could have just killed them all directly. Why would there be any need to infiltrate the team?
Kakashi was puzzled. He chose not to reveal anything and continued observing, wanting to see whether there was really something wrong with Sakura.
Meanwhile, Naruto Uzumaki was glaring at Sasuke Uchiha, trying to overwhelm him in a staring contest.
Then he suddenly noticed that the Sakura he was constantly thinking about had stepped forward, so he immediately abandoned Sasuke and hurried to her side, shamelessly trying to impress her.
"Sakura, don't be scared! I'll protect you!"
Harry shot Naruto a look of annoyance.
Just from the way Naruto looked at Sakura, Harry had already known that the dumb kid liked her.
But Sakura liked Sasuke Uchiha.
More importantly, Naruto knew Sakura liked Sasuke, and still stuck to her willingly no matter what. He would not give up, even if Sakura disliked him for it.
Regarding that kind of situation, Harry only had one thing to say:
Simps deserve to die.
He ignored Naruto, ignored Sakura yelling in his head about how stupid Naruto was, and quietly walked to the edge of the little pool.
Before he could even steady himself, two burly men suddenly burst out of the water, trying to trap him between them.
At the sight of that, Naruto's face filled with panic and he shouted a warning.
"Sakura, watch out!"
Harry, however, used Sakura's body to form a hand seal.
In the next instant, the earth began to churn. Countless stones rose upward, helping Harry block the attacks from the two enemy ninja.
Then, under the stunned gazes of everyone present, a gigantic stone giant more than a dozen meters tall formed beneath Harry's feet.
For some reason, piloting a giant humanoid construct in this world seemed to come with extra bonuses.
Harry did not use his own chaos magic at all. Relying purely on Sakura's chakra, he accomplished it with ease.
After confirming that his self-created ninjutsu had succeeded, Harry looked down from above at the two enemy ninja whose legs were trembling uncontrollably and smiled.
"Well? How do you want to die?"
The stone giant threw a punch. A mass of rocky spikes burst from the ground and effortlessly killed the two enemy ninja.
After that, Harry dismissed the stone giant and calmly walked back as if nothing had happened, rejoining Kakashi and the others.
Seeing Sakura return, the four people around her all reacted differently.
Naruto Uzumaki had the loudest and simplest response. Not only did he fail to notice anything strange about Sakura, he also did not feel inferior or jealous because of his friend's strength. He simply shouted in amazement, "Ah—whoa! Sakura, that was incredible!"
Then he even gave Harry a thumbs-up.
A personality that carefree could be irritating at times, but among everyone here, the one Harry liked most was Naruto Uzumaki.
No special reason. He just missed what he himself had been like before the Sorcerer Supreme trained him.
Sasuke Uchiha's reaction, however, was completely different.
He stared at Sakura in utter disbelief, his eyes full of anger, his face twitching ever so slightly.
In Sasuke's mind, Sakura had always been the most useless one on the team.
Sure, her theoretical grades were good, but ninja battles depended on actual combat ability. Theory alone could not accomplish anything.
Sasuke had secretly been somewhat proud, believing he was the strongest of the three.
He had believed that as long as he worked hard enough, he would eventually catch up to that person and kill him.
But what he had not expected was that Sakura had suddenly betrayed him.
That's right. To Sasuke Uchiha, this was betrayal.
Sakura was obviously this strong, yet she had pretended to be weak and deceived him, making him relax his training and delaying his growth.
If that was not betrayal, then what was?
Thinking back on how smug he had been before, Sasuke felt so humiliated that it nearly drove him mad. He could not help but charge at Sakura, trying to grab her by the collar and demand an explanation...
