Chapter 364 - Chapter 364 - The Dance of Chaos

Location: The Crucible Grounds - Arena Floor

Time: Present Day - Tournament Quarterfinals

The arena erupted as Leo Jerkins and Jax Torrent stepped onto the floor. The holographic banners flickered, displaying their names in bold, shimmering script. The crowd's roar was deafening—a mixture of cheers, boos, and everything in between.

Leo walked with a swagger that bordered on arrogance, his shoulders loose, his hips swaying with a rhythm that seemed to mock the very concept of competition. His arms were raised slightly, his fingers snapping to a beat only he could hear. He looked like a man who had already won, who was simply going through the motions of victory.

Jax Torrent was his opposite. He moved with explosive energy, his body crackling with barely contained power. His aethernova suit pulsed with dark, gritty light—erratic bursts of energy that licked at his arms and legs like hungry flames. The power was raw, untamed, uncontrolled. It was the power of a man who had no idea what he was wielding, who simply relied on instinct and brute force.

The crowd's voices carried across the arena.

"Wipe that smirk off his face, Jax!" one spectator shouted, his voice carrying a note of contempt. "Show him what real power looks like!"

"Yeah, we're with you!" another added. "Teach that clown a lesson!"

Leo's smile widened. He turned to the crowd, his voice carrying a note of theatrical amusement. "You wound me, truly. And here I thought I was your favorite."

---

Kazimir's voice boomed through the speakers, layered with electronic distortion. "ALRIGHT, FOLKS! You know what time it is! The battle of the century! The clown versus the brute! Let's get ready to RUMBLE!"

The music that began to play was dark, pulsing, violent. It carried the weight of a storm, each beat a hammer against the soul.

"Rain falls down like iron tears,

Bodies break and souls appear,

In the dark, we find our fears,

Smash the weak, the strong will steer..."

Kazimir's digital form began to dance, his movements fluid and sharp—a mixture of controlled chaos and rhythmic precision. His hips swayed, his arms cutting through the air like blades. The music seemed to flow through him, his body a vessel for its violent energy.

"Blood on the floor, we ask for more,

Rattle the cage, unlock the door,

You think you're safe, you think you're right,

But in this storm, you'll lose your light..."

The crowd's reaction was divided. Some cheered, their bodies swaying with the beat. Others booed, their voices carrying a note of disgust.

"What is this, a dance competition?" one spectator shouted. "They've turned the tournament into a joke!"

Another laughed, his voice carrying a note of dark amusement. "What's even more irritating is that Leo is literally enjoying all of it. Look at Jax—the fool can't even do anything right!"

---

The Fight Begins

Jax lunged forward, his fist aimed at Leo's face. The punch was explosive, carrying the weight of his aethernova suit's amplification. The air around his fist crackled with dark energy, the force of the blow enough to shatter concrete.

Leo's body moved before the punch landed. His footwork was fluid, almost musical—a dance that seemed to anticipate every strike before it was thrown. He ducked, his body twisting to the left, the punch passing harmlessly over his head.

Jax's eyes widened. He threw another punch, this one aimed at Leo's midsection. Leo's hips swayed, his body bending backward in a motion that seemed almost impossible. The punch missed by a hair's breadth.

"Stand still!" Jax roared, his voice carrying a note of frustrated fury.

Leo's smile was infuriating. "Why would I do that? You're so much more fun when you're angry."

Jax's body exploded with power. The dark energy around him intensified, waves of chaotic force radiating from his form. He threw a series of punches, each one faster and more powerful than the last.

Leo's body weaved through the onslaught, his movements fluid and precise. He spun, his leg sweeping low in a motion that was part dance, part attack. His foot connected with Jax's shin, sending a shockwave through the man's body.

Jax stumbled, his balance broken. He snarled, his fist swinging wildly. Leo's body twisted, his back arching as the punch passed inches from his face. He spun again, his leg arcing upward in a kick that caught Jax squarely in the nose.

Blood erupted from Jax's face, a crimson spray that painted the arena floor. He stumbled backward, his hands clutching his nose, his eyes blazing with rage.

"You irritating piece of crap!" Jax shouted, his voice muffled by his hands. "When I get my hands on you, I'm going to break you!"

Leo's expression remained calm, almost serene. He swayed, his body moving with the rhythm of the music that still pulsed through the arena.

"Why so upset, pal?" Leo said, his voice carrying a note of mock concern. "Be more calm. They say one who is peaceful and quiet in anger adds more years to their life."

Jax's face contorted with fury. He let out a roar—a primal, guttural sound that seemed to shake the very ground beneath him. He lunged forward, his body a blur of explosive power.

---

The music continued to play, its beat driving forward like a heartbeat.

"You think you're strong, you think you're fast,

But in this game, you'll never last,

The weak will fall, the strong will rise,

And in the end, you'll realize..."

Kazimir's dancing shifted, his movements becoming sharper, more precise. He moved like a k-pop dancer possessed by the spirit of a warrior—each gesture a strike, each sway a dodge. The music flowed through him, his body a vessel for its chaotic energy.

---

Jax's attacks grew wilder, more desperate. His punches came faster, each one carrying the weight of his frustration. But Leo was everywhere and nowhere, his body a whirlwind of motion.

Leo's footwork was hypnotic—a series of spins and turns that seemed to defy logic. He ducked under a punch, his body bending backward in a motion that was almost inhuman. He spun, his leg sweeping low, catching Jax's ankle.

Jax stumbled, his balance broken. Leo's body twisted, his fist connecting with Jax's jaw in a motion that was part dance, part devastating strike. The impact sent shockwaves through the arena, the sound of bone meeting flesh echoing like a thunderclap.

Jax's eyes rolled back. His body crumpled to the ground, his aethernova suit flickering and dying.

The arena fell silent.

---

Kazimir's voice cut through the silence, sharp and triumphant. "AND THE WINNER IS LEO JERKINS!"

The crowd's reaction was immediate—a mixture of stunned silence, hesitant applause, and disbelieving murmurs. Some stared at the fallen Jax, their mouths agape. Others watched Leo, their expressions one of confused admiration.

Leo's body continued to move, his hips swaying, his arms raised in victory. His exit was a dance—a fluid, almost theatrical performance that seemed to mock the very concept of defeat.

He moved like a man who had just conquered the world, his steps light and carefree.

---

The crowd's voices rose, a chaotic symphony of disbelief and grudging respect.

"Did you see that?" one spectator muttered, his voice carrying a note of awe. "He didn't even break a sweat."

"His movements were so fluid," another added, her eyes wide. "It was like he could see every attack before it was thrown."

A third spectator shook his head slowly. "That's not luck. That's something else entirely. Some kind of... perception."

VIP Section

Kael's eyes narrowed, his gaze fixed on the arena floor. His voice was low, measured, carrying a note of suspicion.

"The way he moved felt wrong," he said, his words clipped and precise. "But at the same time, it was already precise. Decided. Even before he made a move, his eyes had already done it."

He turned to Brenda, his expression one of cold curiosity. "Just who is this Leo kid? What he just did was one of the most basic but controlled understanding of the art of observation before movement. Of the old Sutran way."

He paused, his voice dropping to a whisper. "Don't tell me he's one of us. He might have a slight bloodline connection, but I doubt he knows the ways."

Brenda's lips curved into a small, amused smile. Her gaze was fixed on Leo, her eyes gleaming with playful interest.

"Well," she said, her voice soft and teasing, "all of that doesn't matter, does it?"

---

Cinematic Finality

Leo paused at the edge of the arena, his body still swaying to the music. He felt it—a gaze, heavy and intense, boring into the back of his skull.

He turned, his eyes scanning the VIP section. His gaze met Brenda's.

She was staring at him, her expression one of quiet amusement. Her lips were curved into a smile that held a thousand secrets.

Leo's body tensed, his dance faltering for just a moment. He studied her face, his mind racing.

What is she thinking? he wondered. What does she know?
