Location: Nexus Point District - Abandoned Construction Site
Time: Night - Heavy Rain
The rain continued to fall, a relentless curtain of water that seemed to amplify the tension of the standoff. Indira's grip on Priya was unyielding, the pistol pressed firmly against her temple. Priya's breath came in short, ragged gasps, her eyes wide with fear.
He came for me, she thought, her internal voice carrying a note of desperate hope. He actually came for me. But... why? Was it all a lie? Was everything he said just part of some scheme?
She stared at Gerry, her eyes searching his face for answers. Her expression was one of hurt confusion—a mixture of longing and betrayal that seemed to cut through the rain.
Indira's voice cut through the silence, sharp and commanding. "You think you're so clever, don't you? Coming here, playing the hero. But I want you to know something." She paused, her lips curving into a cold smile. "There are cameras all over this site. Your face has been captured. Your appearance is on record. Even if you make it out of here alive, the bosses I work for will do everything in their power to never leave you alone."
She pressed the gun harder against Priya's temple.
"There is nowhere in Crestwood—hell, nowhere in the entire country—that you can go without them finding you. They will track you, hunt you, and when they get their hands on you..." She leaned forward, her voice dropping to a venomous whisper. "The first thing that's going to wreck that awful manners out of you is me. And when I do—and I will—I'm going to sever every moment of joy you've ever known."
Gerry's expression remained calm, but his eyes held a flicker of amusement. He raised his hands in a theatrical gesture, his voice dripping with mock terror.
"Aaa, my goodness! I'm so scared!" He clutched his chest dramatically, his body swaying as if he were about to faint. "Please, oh please, don't hurt me with your big, scary words! I might just die from the sheer terror of it all!"
Indira's face contorted with fury. "Laugh all you want, you pathetic little—" she spat a curse word, her voice trembling with rage. "When they get their hands on you, I'm going to make sure you regret every single word that just came out of your mouth."
Gerry's expression shifted, the amusement fading. His voice was flat, almost bored. "Are you done?"
Indira's eyes narrowed. "What?"
Gerry gestured toward the cameras mounted on the steel beams around the site. "Those cameras you're so proud of—you might want to check what they're actually broadcasting."

Cutscene: The Broadcast
In a lavish penthouse across the city, a massive screen flickered to life. Mathew Tanio lounged on a sleek leather sofa, his posture relaxed, his eyes half-lidded with boredom. He was a stylish man, his hair perfectly coiffed, his suit immaculate. Beautiful women lounged around him, their expressions one of practiced adoration.
On the table before him, lines of chalk were arranged with precision—a parody of wealth and excess that seemed almost theatrical.
The screen showed the construction site, but the image was wrong. It showed Indira's men still holding Priya, but Gerry was nowhere to be seen. His appearance had been replaced with a loop of footage—a fake broadcast that showed nothing of the true events.
Mathew's eyes narrowed. He leaned forward, his voice carrying a note of disgust.
"I can't believe that b*tch wasted my time with all this," he muttered, gesturing dismissively at the screen. "I was supposed to be watching something interesting."
He grabbed a remote, his thumb pressing a button. The screen flickered, changing to a different channel—a vibrant music video filled with flashing lights and beautiful people.
"Siente el ritmo, siente el fuego,
Baila hasta que el sol se apague,
La noche es nuestra, no hay tiempo que perder,
Ven, que el mundo va a arder..."
The lyrics were explicit, pulsing with energy. Mathew rose from the sofa, his body moving with the rhythm. His hips swayed, his arms raised, his movements fluid and confident. The women around him joined in, their bodies writhing in sync with the beat.
Mathew's laughter echoed through the penthouse, his voice carrying a note of reckless abandon.
"That's more like it," he said, his voice lost in the music. "That's what I call entertainment."

Cutscene: The Construction Site
Gerry's hand moved to his quiver, his fingers wrapping around an arrow. He drew it with fluid precision, his bow raising toward the cameras mounted on the steel beams.
Indira's eyes widened. "Don't you dare! I'll—"
Gerry released the arrow. It flew through the rain, its tip glowing with a faint, electric blue light. It struck the first camera, shattering it into pieces.
He drew another arrow, his movements quick and precise. The second camera exploded. Then the third. Then the fourth.
The rain continued to fall, the only sound the patter of water against concrete and the hiss of broken electronics.
Indira's grip on Priya tightened, her voice trembling with panic. "I'll kill her! I swear to God, I'll—"
Gerry turned to her, his expression one of cold calm. "You were saying?"
Indira's hand trembled. The pistol shook against Priya's temple.
"Stay back!" she screamed. "I mean it! I'll—"
Before she could finish, something entered her.
Indira's eyes widened. Her grip on Priya loosened. Her body began to tremble, her mouth opening and closing soundlessly. A scream erupted from her throat—not a scream of pain, but of something else. Something ancient and primal.
She released Priya, stumbling backward. Her body writhed, her arms flailing as if trying to shake off an invisible weight. She collapsed to the ground, her body convulsing, her eyes rolling back.
Priya stumbled forward, her breath coming in ragged gasps. She stared at Indira, her expression one of shock and confusion.
"What... what just happened?" she whispered.
Gerry approached her, his steps slow and deliberate. His expression was one of genuine regret.
"Priya," he said, his voice soft. "I'm sorry. I never meant to—"
"Don't," Priya interrupted, her voice sharp and cold. "Don't start."
She took a step back, her eyes blazing with anger and hurt. Her tears fell freely, mixing with the rain.
"You lied to me," she said, her voice breaking. "Everything—every word, every smile, every moment we shared—it was all a lie. You used me. You used me to get to Aethelora. And now..."
She trailed off, unable to finish the thought.
Gerry's expression was one of genuine sorrow. "Priya—"
"I said don't!" She tried to turn away, to walk away from him, but something stopped her. A strange warmth spread through her chest, a sensation of peace that seemed to override her anger.
She couldn't move. She couldn't leave.
Gerry stepped closer, his voice soft and reassuring. "I'm sorry. Truly. But who I work for—they instructed me to not leave anything behind that could pose a threat to our operations."
He reached out, his hand gently cupping her cheek.
"But don't worry," he said, his lips curving into a cheeky smile. "I'll take care of you. I promise."
Priya stared at him, her expression one of confusion and frustration. But beneath the anger, she felt something else—a strange sense of trust that she couldn't explain.
Why do I believe him? she thought. After everything he's done, why do I still want to trust him?
The rain continued to fall, heavy and relentless.

Cinematic Finality
The floodlights flickered, casting long shadows across the construction site. The rain fell in sheets, a relentless curtain of water that seemed to wash away the tension of the night.
Gerry held Priya close, his arms wrapped around her in a protective embrace. His expression was one of quiet satisfaction—a hint of a smile that he couldn't quite suppress.
One down, he thought. Now for the rest.
Priya's tears fell freely, her body trembling against his. She didn't know why, but she felt safe in his arms.
The storm raged on, oblivious to the bond forming between them.
