As time passed, the beasts invading the East District grew more numerous, turning the area into a bloody and brutal battlefield.
The first wave of beasts that charged into the refugee gathering point was repelled by the Wolf Assault Elite who came to the rescue. However, a second wave and then a third wave followed... The beasts surged forward like relentless tides.
In the prolonged and fierce battle, the seasoned Wolf Assault Elite were nearly exhausted. Some unfortunately fell in combat, while others lost their ability to fight and were carried to the rear.
As the elites fell, ordinary members filled their place.
When the ordinary members were insufficient, weapons were distributed to recruit refugee volunteers with combat experience.
Even those with combat experience were not enough, so they recruited young adults, teenagers, and later, even many adult women hurriedly learned to shoot before stepping up.
